Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 305: Chapter 185: The True Dream Realm

Outside, it was no longer a thick pink mist. Instead, there were all sorts of bizarre lights, twisted Spirals floating everywhere, causing the entire Dream Realm to distort and sway. Yet it didn’t make one feel nauseated; instead, it was very abstract. Colorful mist still lingered, wafting around, making the Dream Realm even more abstract and distorted, pulling it further from reality.

And in such a world, his own protective Dream Bubble had just been floating here. Gazing at him was the enormous eye Alka had seen, separated from him by only a thin bubble membrane. This enormous eye was estimated to be 7 meters high and 2 meters wide. Instead of a pupil, it was filled with countless smaller eyes. Behind it was a distorted halo, quietly trailing black and green light and shadows.

It seemed puzzled as to why the Dream Bubble that was just here had disappeared, and why such a significant change had occurred outside.

Alka floated mid-air within his own dream, looking at the bizarre scenery outside, and couldn’t help but ponder.

Perhaps... this is the true Dream World, unlike the peaceful and dreamlike Dream World at the Homeland Sea. The Dream World isn’t supposed to be like this; it’s because the Homeland Sea is the Holy Mother’s domain. The Holy Mother sheltered it, which is why it has such an appearance. And now, They have left the Homeland Sea, beyond its protection, and are beginning to face the real world—not just the external world, but also the Dream Realm, and even deeper spiritual planes.

Alka felt a certain impulse in his heart. The pink mist in his hand began to gather, forming a sharp spear. Slowly, he floated out of the Dream Bubble’s isolation.

As Alka’s figure left the dream’s protection, the monster outside saw him. A strange, piercing screech emanated from the eye monster. Countless twisted streams of light and shadow turned into sharp tentacles, thrusting towards Alka’s body from all directions.

Facing such an attack, Alka simply floated in place. Then, he suddenly raised the spear in his hand and threw it.

In the blink of an eye—or perhaps even faster—the spear vanished from Alka’s hand and plunged directly into the center of the eye monster’s body.

An even more piercing shockwave pulsed continuously outwards. The surrounding twisted light and shadows also began to undulate with the shockwave, and were even pushed back. The tentacles of light and shadow that were attacking Alka stopped beside him, then dissipated.

And the eye monster, where the pink spear had pierced its center, began to change. The pink spear vanished, transforming into a thick mist that began to envelop the monster. The pink mist, like a silkworm’s cocoon, wrapped around the eye monster within, then compressed it. The mist membrane bulged and writhed, as if something inside was struggling desperately.

Alka watched this scene and slowly raised his arm. His open palm clenched tightly, and the pink mist suddenly swelled and then fiercely compressed. It formed into a smooth mist ball. This pink mist ball floated onto Alka’s hand, and then the pink mist enveloping its surface flowed into Alka’s body, returning to the Treasure Pearl.

And the thing enveloped by the pink mist was revealed: it was an oval Gemstone. Transparent and crystal clear, looking inside revealed countless different eyes refracting within it. Such a sight was quite eerie, but Alka didn’t care at all.

So this is the Dream Catcher? The Homeland Sea not only suppressed people’s power but also Treasures and the Dream Realm. It isolated all the evil creatures in the Dream Realm, protecting her people within its bounds. This also indirectly suppressed the Dream Catcher. The Dream Catcher is so named because it can hunt within the Dream Realm; this is its primary function. Alka had been puzzled at the time. The Treasure’s main function was supposedly to allow him to move freely within the Dream Realm. But the problem was that the Dream Realm in the Homeland Sea was so peaceful and safe. There was no danger and nothing to encounter, other than being able to awaken within the Dream Realm. Through special techniques, one could exchange dreams, gaining a substitute to die in one’s place. But none of these aligned with the Dream Catcher’s inherent abilities. It wasn’t until a true monster of the Dream Realm appeared that Alka understood this Treasure’s real capability. It was to make Alka a Hunter within the Dream Realm, enabling him to awaken and traverse it. And this eye Gemstone in his hand was a trophy from such a hunt.

That so-called eye monster looked menacing here, but it was actually very weak. This is the Dream Realm, an abstract concept. A powerful monster doesn’t necessarily have a terrifying appearance; similarly, monsters with terrifying appearances aren’t necessarily strong. Perhaps, like that previous eyeball, it was so weak that a light blow could have vanquished it.

And the spoils this eyeball monster yielded for Alka were of no significant use. It was merely a very precious decorative item. For those unable to move freely or hunt within the Dream Realm, such an item could only be acquired under certain conditions: when the wall between the Dream Realm and reality thinned, when the two worlds connected, and when such an eye monster appeared in reality.
