Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 314: Chapter 188: Cave Treasure

The map currently showed a total of three light spots, lacking the golden glow Alka had hoped for. It also wasn’t very likely to appear.

But what if?

Although there were none, Alka wasn’t disappointed. Having any light spots on it was already quite good.

He was already prepared for the map to be completely blank.

The three light spots were two white ones and one blue one. Quite standard.

Alka didn’t hastily click them but waited for Chadite to complete the drawing of the entire map. Although the map was already usable, for Chadite, this map wasn’t even half-finished. Chadite had very high standards for a map’s completeness, and Alka had to respect that. During this time, he took over Chadite’s responsibility of training Lucilia, personally taking charge of her instruction.

Perhaps due to her doll body, Lucilia was gaining control over her own body very quickly. If she continued training at this pace, Lucilia would be able to perfectly control her body and her Magic Power in just a few days.

Before long, the group that had been wandering the island returned. After all, the island was too small. A brief stroll had been enough for them to lose interest.

Jason walked over with a cheeky smile, seemingly holding something in his arms. ”Did you find something? You look so happy,” Alka asked, looking at his expression.

The few who had returned earlier also turned their heads.

Jason smiled, nodded, and placed the item he was holding on the ground between them. It was a somewhat dim and tattered box, its surface covered in dirt and some barnacle-like objects. But even from its exterior, it was obvious that this Treasure Chest had once been used to store valuables. It seemed Jason had indeed found something valuable.

Alka fiddled with the box for a while. After confirming there were no Spells on it, he smashed the lid open with a punch. This revealed the somewhat dirty and dim contents inside. He dumped everything out onto the beach. Water gathered in his hand, and he began to clean the items. As they were cleaned, their original appearances were fully revealed: mostly precious jewelry and diamonds. There were quite a few of them, and these items could be worth a lot of money.

Looking at these items, the smile on Jason’s face became brighter. ”This trip was pretty rewarding,” he said. For Jason, who truly loved treasure hunting, finding Treasure was what made him happy.

After briefly satisfying their curiosity, the group withdrew their gaze. After all, it was just jewelry, not worth too much of their attention.

”Alright, it’s drawn. Take it,” Chadite said. She finished drawing the map, quickly dried the marks on it, and then covered it with a protective film. Thus, a perfect map was made.

Alka took the map, looking at the exquisite detail and the precise markings on it. He couldn’t help but praise, ”Your skills are getting better and better.”

This wasn’t exaggerated flattery; it was the truth.

”Hmph, of course,” Chadite chuckled softly, smiling as she spoke. ”You know, during those nearly six months I spent in the Great Cathedral, I wasn’t idle.”

Alka blinked at the map in his hand. The light spots on the map appeared again. However, this time, they differed from what he had seen before because one white spot was missing.

One white spot was missing...

Thinking of this, Alka turned his head to look at the broken box at Jason’s feet.

So, if a Treasure is taken by someone else, the light spot will disappear directly... It’s as if the Treasure no longer exists because it has been obtained by someone else and has a new owner.

This was the first time Alka had encountered such a situation, and he committed it to memory. He brushed his hand over the map, clicking on the remaining white spot.

[Ordinary Treasure]

[Difficulty: Seeker]

[Fame: 0]

[Treasure Information: None]

Definitely a bare-bones item. Besides the explicitly stated Difficulty, there was no other information.

No information, and no idea of this Treasure’s specific value. However, the Difficulty doesn’t require much strength, so it’s not worth worrying about.

Alka was more interested in the blue spot. Brushing his hand over the map, he clicked on it.

[Magic Treasure]

[Difficulty: Giant Hunter (Four Spirals)]

[Fame: 6]

[Treasure Information: None]

Hmm... another classic case of no information. But it doesn’t matter. In a godforsaken place like this, actually having such details would be even more absurd.

However, this Difficulty made Alka ponder. It actually required Four Spirals, which was higher than this Treasure’s own requirement.

After all, they had already left the Homeland Sea, beyond the Holy Mother’s suppression. Three Spirals and Four Spirals were still considered weak here. If one mastered the Meditation Method and possessed a Meditation Spell, reaching Three Spirals was something a Newcomer to the Extraordinary World could achieve with just a few years of effort. Alternatively, it was the minimum requirement for mastering Treasures.

I should get used to the fact that the Difficulty of acquiring Treasures will only increase, with ever-higher demands on strength.

Although the requirement here was Four Spirals, for them, it hardly counted as a Difficulty. The Difficulty of a Treasure and its value were not always highly correlated. The only certainty was that the higher the Difficulty of the Treasure, the items obtained wouldn’t be too bad.

For Alka, some Treasures were truly like picking up free money.
