Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1088: Chapter 1088: The Joy of Becoming a Father for the First Time

After leaving the hospital, Finn Morgan helped her with the car door and supported her as she sat inside, ”Careful, don’t jostle the baby.”

”What baby?” Hailey Hale sat in the passenger seat, couldn’t help but tease him, ”It’s so tiny! It’s not even as big as a fingernail yet!”

Finn bent down to help her with the seatbelt, correcting her, ”Whether it’s big or not, it’s clearly written there, the primitive cardiac tube pulsation, that’s our baby, like a small sparrow but complete inside! Anyway, from now on, I will take care of you more attentively.”

Hailey felt warmth inside and couldn’t resist planting a kiss on his cheek.

Finn closed the car door for her, walked around the car back to the driver’s seat, and soon drove off.

”Honey, let me take you home to rest first.”

Hailey turned to ask, ”Where are you going?”

”I’m heading to the bookstore.”

”Why the bookstore?” Hailey asked, puzzled.

Finn couldn’t wait to say, ”A new dad lacks experience; need to buy some parenting books.”

”It’s still early!”

”Then let’s buy books on prenatal education!”

”I want to go too.”

”Alright.”

Before long, the car stopped in front of Xinhua Bookstore. Hailey unbuckled her seatbelt to get out.

”Wait, wait, wait! Let me do it!” Finn quickly got out, walked around the car to help her with the door, ”Be careful, let me serve you from now on!”

”Is it necessary?” Hailey found it outrageous, ”Even national treasures don’t need this level of tension, I can handle such small things myself, I just can’t stand greasy foods.”

Finn, both happy and nervous, helped her down, ”Of course it’s necessary, you’re my wife, and now you’re carrying my child, you’re way more important to me than any national treasure!”

Upon hearing, Hailey’s heart warmed even more.

She turned to glance at him, leaned on his shoulder, and said sweetly, ”A child with a dad like you will surely be the happiest ever!”

”With a mom like you too!” he playfully tapped her nose.

Hailey asked, ”Do you prefer a son or a daughter?”

”As long as they’re from you, I love them!”

”Hahahaha.”

The two bantered as they entered the bookstore, Finn surprisingly asked the attendant, ”Excuse me, do you have shopping carts here?” He scanned at the entrance and couldn’t see any.

Who needs a shopping cart to buy books??

How many is he planning to buy?

Hailey was shocked, the attendant too was shocked, but the customer is always right, she quickly nodded, ”Yes, yes, yes, one moment!” She hurriedly brought over a small cart.

”This is the small cart we use for restocking in our bookstore.”

”Thanks.” Finn headed straight for the baby encyclopedia section with her.

Hailey happily held onto Finn’s arm, looking forward to the day their baby would arrive in ten months.

Most of the books on the shelves were about prenatal education, the covers featuring adorable and cute babies with big, glossy eyes, more dazzling than gems.

Finn began placing books of different covers into the shopping cart one after another.

”Hey, hey, hey!” Hailey was startled by him, ”How many do you plan to buy? These are all the same type, just from different publishers, the content is pretty similar!”

”They’re not exactly identical, right?” Finn continued searching on the shelf, grabbing two more pregnancy recipe books and placing them in, ”Books aren’t expensive, just buy them and select at home, I’ll study carefully!”

Under Hailey’s shocked gaze, he piled book after book into the cart, quickly filling it up!

Sweeping the shelves clean, is this... the legendary shopping spree?

”That’s all, swipe the card!” Finn was generous.

The cashier was taken aback but also delighted inside, could such customers come every day? After all, selling books means a commission.

After paying, the attendant wholeheartedly helped carry the books to their car, seven large bags in total.

Hailey burst into laughter, ”We could open a bookstore ourselves now.”

”No way, we’ll need them when we have the second and third kids! Learning by reviewing!”

”Pfft—!”

In the passenger seat, Hailey sprayed water onto the car window, her hand shaking the water bottle, she abruptly turned to look at him!
