Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1064: Chapter 1064: Discovering the Jade Pendant Is Missing

”What are you afraid of? Who said we’re going to harm his woman?” John Jennings snorted, completely unfazed, ”I’m just after that half of the Jade Pendant, won’t harm a hair on her head.”

”Should we confirm if the pendant is really in her hands?”

John Jennings shook his head, ”No need to confirm it, just a gut feeling!”

The subordinates fell silent, merely following orders.

John Jennings said, ”From today, closely monitor her every move, see when might be a convenient time to approach her.”

”Yes!” The subordinate took the order and left.

The Dalton Group, inside the CEO’s office set in a classical style.

Trevor, in a gray shirt, stood by David Dalton, listening to his instructions—

”Trevor, make sure to find out who attacked Sean Dalton, I’m worried they might return to harm Stella.”

”The investigation is already underway.” Trevor reported, ”However, those people left Riventhal in a storm that very night, and for now, there’s no trace of them. It seems CEO Kingston’s side is also sending people to search.”

”Hmm.” David Dalton nodded, his face hard and cold, ”You go ahead and be busy, inform me if there are any updates.”

”Alright.”

After Trevor left, David Dalton sat back in his office chair, feeling grateful for how well Justin Kingston had treated Stella.

Calmly considering, he took out his phone and opened the home surveillance.

Originally intending to check if there was anything unusual about Joan Graham recently at home.

What he found shocked him.

When he saw the footage of Joan Graham taking the Jade Pendant out of the study drawer, David Dalton was stunned!

His brows knitted into a tight frown, his eyes sharp as he played back the surveillance footage again.

Indeed, Joan Graham had taken the Jade Pendant! But why did she want it?

Just as David Dalton was racking his brain, there was a knock at the door.

He looked up to see his daughter coming in with a cup, ”Dad, have some tea, don’t drink coffee, too much coffee is bad for your health.”

David Dalton instinctively placed his phone face down on the desk, welcoming her with a smile, ”Alright, thank you.”

Mia Lane put down the teacup, and even helped steady it with her hand.

Noticing her father was busy, she smiled gently, ”Dad, I have good news for you, your grandchildren are arriving in Riventhal this afternoon, you’ll get to see them tomorrow.”

”Ah! That’s wonderful.” David Dalton was excited, as this was his direct bloodline, ”I’ve been dreaming about this scene recently, the kids are so close to me, surrounding me all day.”

”They must miss you very much too. When they come back, I will definitely tell them tales about their grandpa.” Mia Lane was also excited about this day.

David Dalton was even happier, his face full of kindly smiles, ”From now on, I have a new title, I’m a grandpa.”

”I should go now, you get back to your work.”

David Dalton got up to see her off, ”Okay, okay.” Then he watched his daughter leave.

After Mia Lane left, he gradually put away his smile and sat back down in his office chair.

Picking up his phone, he watched the surveillance again, analyzing from Joan Graham’s expression, she didn’t take the Jade Pendant for money.

Joan Graham had her own card, with a balance of five million, and she hardly used it.

An hour later—

At Riventhal Detention Center, David Dalton, dressed in a formal suit, had skipped a meeting to arrive.

He was sitting on a chair, watching as the tightly closed iron door opened.

Two prison guards escorted a woman in handcuffs out.

”Where are you taking me? Are you going to release me?” Joan Graham couldn’t hide her excitement, slightly indulging in wishful thinking.

The previously listless Joan Graham, the moment she stepped out the door and saw David Dalton, froze, her eyes suddenly brightening—

”Darling! Have you come to take me home? Don’t worry, I won’t blame you for being late!”

The two prison guards, with stern expressions, restrained her, applying slight pressure so that she winced and frowned, signaling her to behave and not shout loudly.
