Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1072: Chapter 1072: Why Not Stay and Join the Fun?

The mother-in-law’s words were somewhat unexpected for Mia Lane, moving her immensely.

Mia Lane just looked at her, her face openly displaying her emotions and gratitude.

”Go on, it’s almost ten o’clock, are you really just going for lunch?” Kristina Kingston urged, ”I’ll call Justin right now and have him get ready immediately.”

Saying this, she picked up her phone and dialed her son’s number, ”Justin Kingston, what time do you think it is?” her tone was a bit stern, ”Are you not eager to visit your father-in-law’s house for the Mid-Autumn Festival?”

Did mother find out?

Justin realized, ”I’m leaving now, I’ll shut down the computer right away.”

”Hurry up!”

”Okay, okay, okay.”

Mia Lane looked at her mother-in-law’s attitude, feeling extremely comforted, ”Mom, umm... we planned a picnic with some friends in the afternoon, would you like to join us?”

”It’s for young people to enjoy, I won’t go.” Kristina Kingston said, ”After sitting on the plane for so long, honestly, I haven’t recovered yet, I plan to rest well in the afternoon, you guys have fun.”

”It’s not all young people, my dad is going too.”

”I prefer peace and quiet, I won’t join.” Kristina Kingston refused her again gently.

Mia Lane didn’t press further, she said, ”With Mary accompanying you, I’m at ease, later I’ll ask Sister Zhou to instruct the kitchen to prepare a sumptuous lunch.”

”Don’t worry about me, you hurry up and get ready, you won’t starve in your own home.”

The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law exchanged a smile, Mia Lane got up, walked over, bent down, and hugged her, ”Thank you, Mom!”

Soon, Justin loaded some gifts into the car, the kids went inside to wash their faces, cleaned their hands with soap, and Sister Zhou changed them into clean clothes.

”Oh! We’re going to see Grandpa!!”

”So excited!”

The kids ran out excitedly, jumping into Daddy’s Lamborghini!

Mia Lane waved at Kristina Kingston, smiling, ”Mom, I’m off now, call if you need anything?”

”Go on, go on, no need to contact you unless necessary, have fun!”

”Mm-hmm!”

She turned and walked to the Lamborghini in the yard, her heart filled with sweetness.

People’s hearts can warm up, as long as everyone opens their heart, the future becomes beautiful.

Life is short, isn’t it better to live peacefully since meeting is fate?

The Lamborghini had just left Emerald Cove, about five minutes later—

Kristina Kingston finished the tea in her cup, put down the cup, and started walking towards the living room.

A black Volvo drove into the large courtyard and stopped in front of her.

Kristina Kingston stopped, watching as the car door opened and Anton Miller got out, meeting her gaze.

Their eyes met unintentionally, and Anton Miller was really taken aback, ”...” she’s back?

Kristina Kingston’s chest tight, but her face remained calm.

A light breeze blew, and Kristina Kingston broke the silence, ”Your brother and sister-in-law have gone to the Dalton family.” This broke the awkwardness a bit.

And the way she referred to him as ’brother’ and ’sister-in-law’ was intentional, acknowledging Anton Miller’s identity.

This form of acknowledgment gradually eased a bit of the resentment in Anton Miller’s heart.

His eyes refocused as he shut the car door, opened the trunk, and took out two boxes of mooncakes and a box of tea, ”Auntie, happy Mid-Autumn Festival.”

Anton Miller’s casual greeting of ’Auntie’ also showed his character.

For the two of them to manage such a rapport without Mia Lane acting as an intermediary is truly a significant feat.

Anton Miller brought the gift bags to her, and Kristina Kingston gracefully reached out to accept them, ”Stay for lunch?”

”...”

Their eyes met, Kristina Kingston showing a benevolent expression, ”You came over today, which means the club is on holiday, you’re alone, and so am I, why not join in the fun?”
