Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 631: Chapter 631: Dead

In the adjacent VP office, Hailey Hale received a phone call.

The caller informed her, ”Miss, we’ve found the footage of Hugo Miller assaulting someone. The police have lawfully arrested him.”

”Warn him again for me, that he’d better steer clear of me from now on.” She toyed with a pen, her eyes carrying a hint of coldness, ”Otherwise, I have ways to ensure he rots in prison!”

Not far away, Barbara Sutton was taken aback by these words, quickly looking up at her, seeing an unprecedented anger on Hailey Hale’s face.

Who offended her?

How did they offend her?

Regarding Finn Morgan’s injury, Hailey Hale felt nothing but guilt and heartache.

Justin Kingston was also unaware that Finn Morgan was injured.

Hailey Hale often got distracted during work hours, feeling uneasy, yet it wasn’t appropriate to always inquire about him. Asking one more question wouldn’t help quickly, and she preferred to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.

Thus, she found today rather awkward.

This afternoon, in a foul mood, Monica Usher set out with the R-Alan Group’s design team.

They were also heading to Aethel Falls. Unable to book cabins, they had to stay in a guesthouse.

They departed in a large bus, making no effort to conceal it, and the media even reported it.

In the information era, this news also caught the eyes of Justin Kingston and Finn Morgan.

”CEO Kingston...” Finn Morgan was about to say something.

Justin Kingston, however, handed him a document, ”Send it down; there’s a problem with the data. I’ve marked it. Ask Old Anderson to find the reason.”

Finn Morgan took the document, ”Understood.” He turned and left.

Apparently, CEO Kingston doesn’t want to handle it. Let R-Alan continue to provoke! The Kingston Group will be facing all sorts of challenges.

Afternoon—

In the VP office, Hailey Hale screamed and jumped up upon seeing a certain news piece—

”Oh my God! Divorced in the morning, dead by the afternoon?!!”

Barbara Sutton was also startled by her, raising her gaze and blankly asking, ”What?”

”Lydia Ingram has divorced! Did you see the morning news? That eccentric president of the R-Alan Group! Divorced his tenth wife!”

”That’s normal,” Barbara Sutton said. ”I think it’s a miracle this marriage even lasted two years.”

”The focus is on what happened later!” Hailey Hale could hardly believe it, ”The news says they just pulled a female body from the river, and after investigation, it was confirmed to be the abandoned woman! Lydia Ingram’s ex-wife!”

”Did she kill herself out of despair?” Barbara Sutton murmured, ”She should have been prepared for divorce since the day she married him, right?”

Hailey Hale shook her head, ”She probably wasn’t suicidal, huh? I feel she must have offended Lydia Ingram with what she said to reporters. Given Lydia Ingram’s insidious nature, it’s highly likely he killed her, right?”

In a matter of life and death, only Hailey Hale would dare to speculate like this.

Barbara Sutton wouldn’t dare comment; it could lead to defamation charges!

This news was also seen by Justin Kingston and Finn Morgan, its heat drowning out the morning’s divorce drama.

Monica Usher had just arrived at Aethel Falls with the designers. The bus was parked in front of the guesthouse.

Due to the winding mountain roads, some people got off and vomited right away.

”Are you all okay?” Monica Usher expressed concern.

”I think you’re crazy!” A male designer finally couldn’t hold back, rolling his eyes at her, ”You wanted to mess with The Kingston Group, dragging us along for nothing!”

Monica Usher was startled, bewildered.

He continued, ”I don’t find anything good here. It’s a godforsaken place!”

”...” The woman was deeply shocked; they harbored resentment?

Slowly surveying her surroundings, the designers appeared lethargic, quickly averting their gaze when their eyes met hers. Though they didn’t say complaints, their faces were filled with discontent.

”...” For a moment, this group VP was at a loss for words.

”President Usher, you believe that stepping out is crucial for good design; however, we’re used to working behind closed doors,” a female designer said, ”Going out disrupts our focus, and adapting to a new environment takes time.”

”Yes, this place is full of mosquitoes at night; they keep us awake, let alone inspired.” Someone who grew up in the mountains particularly hated mountain life.
