Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 614: Chapter 614: Things That Shouldn’t Have Been Said

”I wish for my parents’ health,” she prayed with her hands clasped together, and spoke out her wish.

This wish touched Monica Usher a bit.

If birthday wishes truly came true, Monica Usher would wish to marry the one she loves, and then be happy for a lifetime—for her, love is paramount.

And that person accompanying her for life is more important than her parents’ health.

After making the wish, Barbara handed the first slice of cake to her, ”Monica, thank you for spending my birthday with me.”

”Don’t be so formal, we’re friends.”

Barbara was filled with gratitude; she barely had any friends in this big city and was always somewhat insecure.

Monica took a bite of cake and seemed to feel the pressure, ”Both of our families are called the True Love series. Why doesn’t Justin Kingston think of changing the name? I didn’t think much about it before, but now that I do, it really is awkward.”

”There are a lot of name clashes in this world,” Barbara consoled her, ”and there are plenty of times at large banquets when people wear the same outfits, so just consider it a coincidence since it’s already been decided.”

”That’s all we can think of now,” Monica looked innocent, ”I’m passionate about jewelry and always hope to achieve something.”

”If you like it, go for it while you’re young,” Barbara said, ”Actually, the content is different, right? You only do wedding rings.”

”Yeah.”

”We’ve changed,” she said, ”we now make four-piece sets: necklace, bracelet, earrings, and ring all together.”

Monica was slightly startled, four-piece sets? The plan changed?

”CEO Kingston personally went to Zulmar to order the best raw diamonds. It’s said that all of this collection is limited edition, and every designer has a task to complete, so everyone’s really enthusiastic, unlike before when there was competition,” Barbara told her, ”You guys only do wedding rings and produce them in batches, so it’s really different. Don’t overthink it, I don’t feel there’s competition.”

Monica was lost in thought because of her words.

Yeah, why hadn’t she thought of doing four-piece sets? The profits would be higher; if they were limited editions, it could also motivate the designers more.

Who gets married just to buy a ring? Besides, young people tend to splurge when getting married.

Limited editions are exactly what modern women love, always feeling unique.

At this moment, a thought quietly sprouted in her mind: there’s still time for a remedy.

She had already learned enough tonight, so Monica didn’t probe further, not wanting to arouse her suspicion.

On the same night, at the Redgrave Family’s villa.

Lydia Ingram came out of the bathroom after a shower, and his wife, Ariel Chandler, who was younger by ten years, was still relentless, ”Why did you say you were working late and then not work late?”

”I didn’t work late, so what? Why so many questions?” The man didn’t want to explain.

Ariel asked again, ”You never used to work late; why are you suddenly working late recently? Is something wrong with the company?”

”Why so many problems?” The man, fastening his robe belt, looked indifferent, ”Can’t you hope for the best?”

But the woman’s intuition told her something was off about her husband.

Ariel came out of the shower, but Lydia had already gone to bed early and was snoring.

”Lydia? Lydia?”

She called softly twice, but he didn’t respond; he must have fallen asleep.

The woman couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed, glancing down at the lace camisole she was wearing; they hadn’t been intimate for a long time.

Could it be he’s seeing someone else?

No, no, Ariel believed in her husband, but recalling his ten previous marriages, she felt a sense of crisis—would she become his ex-wife too?
