Hijacking the Timeline

Standing at the lectern, Feng Qi smiled as he addressed the intently listening students. He now felt completely at ease teaching, free from any nervousness or stage fright.

The classroom was filled only with the sound of his lecture and the students’ scribbling notes, creating a focused learning atmosphere. He had no concerns about whether the students understood the material, as he was presenting content summarized and organized by the Future People specifically for educational purposes, making it clear and easy to grasp.

Having decided to lead Cultivation Class One in the upcoming Tiger Soul Concept Competition, he needed to propose a competition concept. After explaining the first section of the research methodology for basic cultivation arts, he posed a question:

”We all know that the acupuncture points and meridians within the human body are the most crucial nodes for circulating spiritual energy during cultivation. So, I’d like to ask: how well do you understand the Five Viscera and Six Bowels?”

A bespectacled female student immediately raised her hand. After Feng Qi nodded, she stood up and replied:

”The Five Viscera and Six Bowels cannot serve as conduits for spiritual energy like the meridians and Acupuncture Points. However, nourishing them with spiritual energy can strengthen the body, especially for cultivators focused on body cultivation. For them, the viscera are not only vital organs for storing spiritual energy but also crucial for enhancing physical resilience.”

Hearing the student’s answer, Feng Qi nodded and continued, ”Do you think the significance of the viscera in cultivation studies can compare to that of the Acupuncture Points and meridians?”

The female student shook her head decisively. ”While the viscera are indispensable organs and fundamental components of the human body, from a cultivation studies perspective, their importance pales in comparison to the Acupuncture Points and meridians.”

”Moreover, from a cultivation studies standpoint, nourishing the viscera requires cultivators to expend additional spiritual energy, making them a burden in the cultivation process.”

”Well said. Your perspective aligns with the current consensus in cultivation studies regarding the viscera,” Feng Qi nodded, gesturing for the student to sit down. He continued, ”This is precisely the concept our class will propose at the upcoming competition: exploring whether we can develop the viscera to function similarly to Acupuncture Points and meridians, granting them the unique ability to nourish the body in return.”

Upon hearing Feng Qi’s explanation, another student immediately raised their hand.

After receiving Feng Qi’s permission, the student stood up and asked:

”Teacher Feng, the cultivation technique research institutes have been studying the Five Viscera and Six Bowels for a long time, but there haven’t been any breakthroughs. If we propose a cultivation concept related to these organs, it will be difficult to find relevant research to support our competition entry.”

Feng Qi fully understood the student’s skepticism.

This wasn’t a concern unique to the Future People; it had been a subject of inquiry since the early days of cultivation studies.

After all, the Five Viscera and Six Bowels are vital human organs. As humanity advanced in cultivation studies, they inevitably sought to unlock deeper functions within these organs.

Feng Qi’s goal was to help humanity fill this knowledge gap ahead of time.

With this in mind, he immediately replied:

”Actually, even in ancient times, humans had already explored profound aspects of the Five Viscera and Six Bowels. In the vague concepts of our ancestors, each organ—the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys—was believed to house a deity, safeguarding the body’s health. If someone fell ill, they simply needed to invoke the name of the deity associated with the affected organ, and the ailment would vanish like magic.”

When Feng Qi, known for his rigorous and detailed lectures, began discussing ancient mythology, the students were utterly bewildered, unable to grasp what he was trying to convey.

But as he continued, their expressions gradually shifted.

”In ancient myths, the Five Viscera were considered vital organs that nourished the body. However, from the perspective of modern cultivation studies, the Five Viscera and Six Bowels are merely organs that consume spiritual energy, becoming burdens rather than assets. In combat, damage to these organs can even hinder body cultivation experts... Therefore, let’s propose a hypothesis: could we implant a deity within each of the Five Viscera and Six Bowels, allowing these organs to function as described in ancient myths, nourishing the physical body?”

”I call this cultivation concept ’Deity Seeding’!”

Feng Qi’s explanation outlined a path that future cultivation studies would inevitably follow: Deity Seeding, also known as Organ Hiding Deity.

The core of modern cultivation studies lies in meridians and Acupuncture Points, and this would remain true in the future. However, future advancements would involve further development of the Five Viscera and Six Bowels.

For example, the Heart serves as the power source for the body’s circulatory system.

In the Deity Seeding concept, instead of simply nourishing the Heart with spiritual energy to make it stronger, a Golden Core would be condensed within the Heart using spiritual energy. This core would become inseparable from the Heart, providing it with a continuous source of power, which the Heart would then distribute throughout the body.

This Golden Core is what’s referred to as a ”deity.”

The same principle applies to other bodily organs. Once a ”deity” is seeded within an organ, both its strength and efficacy are dramatically enhanced.

For example, a major function of the kidneys is detoxification, clearing metabolic waste from the body.

By seeding a ”deity” within the kidneys, their detoxification capabilities would be greatly amplified, even to the point of resisting toxins spewed by domain creatures.

The core concept of Deity Seeding involves creating a spiritual energy condensate within each of the Five Viscera and Six Bowels—a power source that integrates seamlessly with the organ, assisting its function and significantly boosting its efficacy.

This concept was first conceived by a technique researcher from the future, drawing inspiration from ancient mythology.

In ancient times, people believed that each of the Five Viscera housed a deity.

The deity residing in the Heart was named Danyuan, styled Shouling.

The deity in the Liver was named Longyan, styled Hanming.

The deity in the Spleen was named Changzai, styled Hún Tíng.

The deity in the Lungs was named Haohua, styled Xucheng.

The deity in the Kidneys was named Xuanming, styled Yuying.

Mythological accounts described these deities protecting their respective organs and nourishing the body, ensuring the host’s health and robustness.

Inspired by these myths, the technique researcher proposed the cultivation concept of Deity Seeding.

Through continuous refinement and development by later generations, this concept eventually became one of the core tenets of the Cultivation Studies System.

Feng Qi’s lecture revolved around this very topic.

As they listened, the students gradually transitioned from initial confusion to profound awe.

They realized that Feng Qi’s explanation wasn’t merely a collection of abstract concepts; it was a coherent body of theoretical knowledge.

Moreover, this knowledge provided a clear path for practical application.

Before Feng Qi introduced this concept, they had generally believed that the Five Viscera and Six Bowels were vital human organs, but from a cultivation studies perspective, these organs seemed like mere burdens.

But Feng Qi’s concept revealed a new continent of possibilities.

They suddenly realized that humanity had yet to fully explore and utilize the potential of these organs. In fact, these organs could become powerful aids in cultivation, offering immense benefits for enhancing one’s strength.

The students gained a renewed appreciation for Feng Qi’s profound knowledge.

As they watched Feng Qi speak with such eloquence, the students couldn’t hide the admiration in their eyes.

Some even felt, from the bottom of their hearts, that with a contemporary genius like Feng Qi among them, humanity had no reason to fear the future. They believed he would surely dispel all Domain Fields.

An entire class period passed, yet Feng Qi continued his lecture, and the students remained completely engrossed, showing no signs of wanting to leave.

The students outside the classroom were equally captivated, their expressions focused as they strained to catch every word.

Despite standing for hours, they showed no intention of leaving, their notebooks filled with notes.

Hidden in a corner outside the classroom, Lin Ran had been eavesdropping for a long time, his heart pounding with awe.

He had always believed Feng Qi was the greatest influence on his path in cultivation technique research, and this lecture only reinforced that conviction.

As the saying goes, ”One who stays near vermilion gets stained red.” With Feng Qi, a peerless genius in cultivation technique research, by his side, Lin Ran felt certain he would be influenced and achieve great things in the field of cultivation arts.

Feng Qi, still in class, had no idea what Lin Ran was thinking at that moment.

If he had known, he would have stormed out of the classroom and unleashed a full set of Fierce Tiger Fist on Lin Ran, who was hiding in a corner, to teach him the true meaning of cruelty.
