Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 939: Chapter 86: Replacing Ash Ketchum

Certainly! Here’s the English translation:

Midnight.

Viewing balcony.

Baimu lay on a deck chair, letting out a comfortable moan.

Behind him, floating in midair, was the altered-color Gengar with chubby little paws massaging his shoulders, wearing a fawning villainous expression.

”That’s great! Harder~!”

”Ghen!”

”Ah—so relaxing~ How did you get so skilled?”

”Jie xixi xixi...”

Beside them, Aggron gazed up at the stars, forced to listen to the chaotic cries of the trainer, feeling quite speechless.

Why choose the balcony for a massage?

What on Earth?

Are the newcomers trying to show off to the oldies?

Aggron lifted its paw maliciously, considering giving the trainer a little lesson, but then saw him pulling out his phone.

”Good afternoon, great Mayor of Pyrite Town.”

’Ha, it must be late at night over there, right? What’s up, too pumped after winning the top title to sleep?’

”Not at all, just finished. Hoopa pulled a bunch of people over, and I called in the backup of Bei Lingyin and the others, so we’ve been bustling until now...”

’Really, you’ve worked hard, top Coordinator Trainer Mr. Baimu, playing around yet sounding as if you’re exhausted.’

The slightly sarcastic reply made Baimu burst into hearty laughter.

”Can’t compare with a mayor holding the future of tens of thousands of people and Pokémon; besides, the first person I thought of inviting was you, but you didn’t come.”

’Hehehe, you better not sleep too soundly in the future, or I’ll make a special ”Baimu Sleeping Special” for the TV.’

”Sorry, bro, my bad.”

He quickly pleaded.

Due to the time difference, when the morning competition ended, the Ore Region was already at dusk, and during the afternoon celebration preparations, it was precisely midnight in Ore.

Bringing Hoopa along, Baimu once again encountered the pajama-clad Shanren.

Since it wasn’t business, the latter angrily kicked him twice.

Participating naturally was out of the question.

Shanren continued to chuckle coldly over the phone: ’Apologies are useless! You should fully enjoy your last days of leisure; I’ll let you understand why the ”Dan Emperor” is known as the busiest Champion.’

”...”

Baimu smirked.

Though he was already mentally prepared for this.

Shanren, intent on replicating Galar’s rise, naturally copied the champion marketing plan from there; dreaming of freedom like Lance, Da Wu, or Hilona was virtually impossible for him.

Baimu turned around, his gaze met the sneaky-looking Aggron, and his eyebrows instinctively raised.

What’s the little guy up to, being so sly?

”Guh-roar~”

The plan failed, but Aggron didn’t seem annoyed or scared off, instead putting its paws capable of tearing through steel near his arm with a naive determination to learn altered-color Gengar’s massage technique.

He stared into the eyes of the big monster until the latter turned away sheepishly.

Tch.

Don’t think I can’t tell you’re up to no good?

Baimu withdrew his gaze disdainfully, while enjoying the altered-color Gengar’s massage, and continued:

”But your promotional strategy is really effective, at this rate my name will stay at the top of Hoenn’s trending topics for a few days, maybe even until the conference’s opening?”

’As long as it’s useful, but it’s not my strategy; if you’re going to be grateful, thank Courtney.’

”Courtney?”

He was taken aback, having not heard that name for a long time.

’I thought you might not know, so I should mention it. Most of Pyrite Town’s infrastructure projects have been delegated to Magma Team, one of the leaders being Courtney. And when you won, Chi Yansong was right in my office.’

Shanren’s words genuinely surprised him.

Have the Rescue Organization and Magma Team really grown so close?

Handing infrastructure to Magma Team?

Trustworthy...?

Well, given Hoenn’s current development, entrusting it to the experienced Magma Team is indeed a good choice.

Ore Region’s top-notch black technology is advanced, but infrastructure is lacking.

The roads within Pyrite Town are bad enough; the highway connecting to the outside world is in such disrepair most vehicles are equipped with flotation devices, and nine out of ten cars running on tires end up stuck halfway.

”...Are you trusting them too much?”

Baimu hesitated for a while but couldn’t hold it in.

’Trust is the key to cooperation, and besides, you’re the one who started this connection, so you should take responsibility, future Ore Champion.’

Shanren swiftly shifted the blame.

But he couldn’t really counter it; after all, he did accept sponsorship from Magma Team.

He was speechless for a moment, then said: ”Don’t tell me Ore is also collaborating with Ocean Team, while they’re developing coastal areas at Jinqing Port.”

’Yes, but not quite, since they’re also part of the Oasis Plan.’

”...”

Baimu was already resigned.

Plasma Team’s former Young Master, the reformed Ocean Team, Magma Team, and his own Rainbow Team; is Ore a bit mysterious?

It always attracts some of the once-baddies.

Wait.

Where are Flashing Flame Team members being sent?

Suddenly he felt anxious, resolved to take a closer look at the specific judgment in a couple of days.

If some members of Flashing Flame Team are sentenced and sent to Ore too, then Ore would only be missing Rocket Team and Galaxy Team, the two larger evil organizations, from setting foot there.

After chatting for a bit, Shanren hung up the phone, not wanting to disturb his rest.

”Oh, what a calamity-filled life.”

He looked back at the altered-color Gengar behind the deck chair, ”You’ve worked hard, go rest.”

”Ghen...”

Altered-color Gengar initially wanted to say it wasn’t tired, but catching sight of Aggron beside it, quietly voiced out before retreating, ”Ghen~”
