Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 938: Chapter 585: The Tournament Rally! (Part 2)

This is not a ”mask” worn for the sake of pride.

It’s her desire to bring spiritual encouragement to all fans and Coordinator Trainers, telling them that failure is not something to fear!

Knowing all this, Baimu couldn’t righteously persuade her to show her most authentic self.

Perhaps some might think that Liuqia, who feels lost and regretful, seems more down-to-earth.

But more importantly, her choice and determination at this moment must be respected.

Advice should only be provided in the appropriate context, otherwise, it’s just condescending preaching.

Just like how Liuqia helped him so much from start to finish, yet never really acted all high and mighty as a ”teacher” pointing fingers at him.

This is a forever optimistic, energetic girl who holds goodwill towards others.

With this in mind.

Baimu took a deep breath, extended his right hand with sincere gratitude, and said, ”Liuqia, meeting you and competing alongside you has been my greatest fortune since coming to the Hoenn Region.”

Liuqia blinked, ignored the extended hand, and directly jumped forward to give him a strong hug.

”Me too! Rebel Disciple~!”

She whispered, then, amidst the gasps from the audience, grabbed his arm with the extended hand and raised it high, facing every spectator with a radiant smile.

Her expression was full of pride, for Baimu and herself.

Perhaps her becoming a Coordinator Trainer had nothing to do with Liuqia, but the direction she provided in the other’s growth and the opportunities she created were not in vain.

Therefore.

Baimu being able to become a top-tier Coordinator Trainer is partly due to her efforts.

No matter how small the effort, she was satisfied.

Attracting more people to the Gorgeous Competition, making them stronger, making the Gorgeous Competition more captivating, this is Liuqia’s original intention as an idol of the Gorgeous Competition.

’Everyone can become an idol! The possibilities are ☆ infinite!’

This is definitely not an empty slogan.

”Teacher Liu...”

Baimu subtly glanced at Liuqia on tiptoes and smiled helplessly.

The height difference between them was so great that even when she raised her hand, she needed to stand on tiptoe to fully support herself.

Thankfully, her Galarian Rapidash saw this and used Spiritual Power to help her steady her balance to prevent falling.

The Pokémon on both sides quickly gathered behind the two, exchanging smiles as they bowed deeply with their Trainers towards all the fans in the audience who have supported them all along the way.

This made the cheers in the venue even louder.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Fireworks exploded, and ribbons flew in the air!

Thousands of cheers drew the curtain on the second review of the large-scale celebration.

——

On the red carpet.

Under the spotlight.

Four judges and one host surrounded Baimu, smiling and clapping.

Patistan: ”Congratulations! The top title is well-deserved!”

Liu Lai: ”An amazing final show~! Lord Baimu~!”

Miss Joy: ”Blissey is so cute~”

Ami: ”If you are coming to Asakusa City, please do let me know in advance, I will definitely come to support you.”

”Thank you, very much appreciated.”

He nodded continuously, holding a Mawile in his arms, flanked by an Altered-color Milotic and a Blissey.

”Chiddo~”

Mawile held the golden trophy high, grinning with joy, its immense happiness made it forget why ”a lady’s temperament” matters.

”Congratulations, Contestant Baimu! Please give an acceptance speech for your win!”

Vivian handed the microphone to him.

The speech segment is a traditional affair in large-scale Gorgeous Competitions, but it doesn’t require the contestant to give a lengthy speech, even a simple thank you will suffice—

Baimu couldn’t just do that.

This had nothing to do with endorsing the Watercraft Team and Magma Team, though thanks were in order, the main point was that he had to announce something.

”——Though I’m quite reluctant to leave this stage, I must explain to everyone who supported us that for the foreseeable future, I will suspend participating in any level of Gorgeous Competitions.”

Wow!

As soon as he said this, the audience boiled over.

Usually, after obtaining the top title, Coordinator Trainers can’t participate in regular Gorgeous Competitions anymore. They have to travel around performing gorgeous shows to accumulate fame.

For top Coordinator Trainers who have achieved a certain level of fame, the organization will grant them a Master title.

Equivalent to a Regional Champion Level.

But at this stage, only Mikoli has been granted the Master title.

Many of Baimu’s supporters hoped he would become the second Mikoli, who would have thought he’d suddenly announce suspending Gorgeous performances in this setting?

The bewildered audience quickly got their answer.

”I will participate in the Ever Grande Conference in two weeks and strive for the final victory. At the same time, I will return to my hometown in the Ore Region to compete for the Championship. Please allow me to say to everyone, I’m sorry.”

With those words spoken.

Boom!

If the audience was just boiling earlier, now they were turning heaven and earth upside down!

Baimu, the top Coordinator Trainer, is preparing to challenge the Ever Grande Conference? And to compete for the Ore region’s Championship?

Everyone’s mind was quickly overtaken by a single name.

[Mikoli]!

The undisputed current Coordinator Trainer Master, founder of the Mikoli Club, the idol revered by all Coordinator Trainers—the Prince Shui Mikoli!

So Baimu is really set on walking the same path as him!

The media on-site went crazy, seeing they had already sent out the press releases, they hurriedly started calling colleagues to quickly draft short news articles on this massive news.

The many fans of the Mawile Fan Club looked at each other, their eyes filled with excitement.

Even President Bei Lingyin excitedly grabbed the hands of the people beside her.

In fact.

Many Gorgeous Competition viewers also enjoy watching the League Conferences and even the Champion Alliance after all Pokémon battles are the most popular entertainment activity in the Pokémon World.

Trainer is also the most populated profession in the Pokémon World.

In the animation, the Gorgeous Competition was able to start and grow, largely due to its second review—the fantastic battle elements in the gorgeous battle.

Of course, as time goes on, the differences between Gorgeous Competitions and League Conferences are becoming more pronounced.

Possibly in a few years, they will become exactly like in the games.

”Wooaah...”

Baimu felt the scorching gazes coming from all directions and realized he had underestimated the allure of battles, no wonder Mayor Shanren specifically had him announce this publicly.

However, gaining support is a good thing.

He returned the microphone to the slightly excited Vivian, ”Thank you.”

”Hiss——”

Vivian took a deep breath, ”Let’s congratulate Contestant Baimu once again! We look forward to his outstanding performance as a top Coordinator Trainer and... his performance in the Ever Grande Conference and Champion League!”

The cheers from the audience were deafening.

”And with that, this season’s Gorgeous Large-scale Celebration has come to an end, to all Coordinator Trainers, aim for the next competition, embark on new challenges, let’s cherish this moment!”

Vivian’s voice echoed across the stage.

——

The real-world large-scale celebration drew to a close.

But online, Baimu’s acceptance speech sparked a huge commotion.

Having just received the top Coordinator Trainer title, to publicly declare intentions to win the Ever Grande Conference?

So arrogant!

What an understatement of the heroes of the world!

Within half a day, Baimu’s name had been pushed to the top of the trending searches in the Hoenn Region.

Countless Trainers in the Hoenn Region left comments on blogs, some filled with anticipation, some eager and extremely excited, some directly mocking, and others searching for Baimu’s past competition records for information.

It’s undeniable.

Baimu’s words perfectly became the highlight before the opening of the Ever Grande Conference.

How could the alliance’s PR department miss such a good opportunity, they immediately centered their pre-conference promotion around him.

Even from afar in Ore, Mayor Shanren was overjoyed.

This saved so much on promotional expenses!

The Ore Rescue Organization wasn’t exactly strapped for cash at the moment, their financial status was still in surplus, but saving money is still saving money.

It wasn’t in vain that he deliberately held back, not starting promotions during the first review.

”What do you think?”

Mayor Shanren asked the red-haired man behind him with a smile.

”Hmph, didn’t expect a young mayor like Shanren to be so knowledgeable about internet trends.” Chi Yansong crossed his legs and snorted, ”But can Baimu handle such fame?”

”He can.”

Shanren immediately replied with a smile, ”I believe in him.”
