Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 913: Chapter 573: The Festival Begins

Wula La’s Pokémon?

Baimu’s mind first flashed with the image of a pink twin ponytail.

Immediately, he remembered another person in Larus City who also had Plusle and Minun—

Xiaochao.

One of the protagonists in the movie ”Void Visitor.”

He built a friendship with an extraterrestrial Deoxys and helped Ash Ketchum solve the rampaging square robots incident, transforming from being afraid of Pokémon to getting close to them.

”Where did you two come from?”

He pinched Minun’s ear.

”Minun~”

The playful Minun felt a bit ticklish, shook its head and let out a crackling current, the paralysis sensation prompting Baimu to quickly withdraw his hand.

”Plusle!”

Plusle beside him excitedly leaned forward with a look of ”my turn, my turn.”

Baimu pinched it too.

Crackle!

Tiny currents flew about.

The two rabbit-like Pokémon immediately started dancing joyfully on his knees, touching the positive and negative tips of their tails together.

Fizz——

In the sound of a loud pop, bright yellow currents abruptly shot up, like a shower of sparks.

”Plusle——”

”Minun——”

The two playful Plusle and Minun were thrilled.

Baimu, with lingering fear, raised his phone high; luckily, he raised it in time and avoided the dancing currents touching it, otherwise he’d have to hope its quality was reliable.

It’s known that in the homes of many Electric Attribute Pokémon Trainers, electronic devices are often short-lived.

”Oh! Where did Plusle and Minun come from?”

Liuqia and Xiaoguang finally noticed these two adorable ”unexpected guests,” the former showing a fond smile, while the latter paused and looked around curiously.

”Wula La here too?”

Plusle and Minun once were her psychological shadows, even used by Wula La in attempts to break her defenses.

However, as a female version of Ash Ketchum, Xiaoguang excelled at overcoming herself in battles, so even though she became the butt of jokes with her explosive hairdo among numerous spectators, she still, with her partner, triumphed over Wula La and Plusle and Minun.

At this point.

A light blue-haired boy anxiously ran in from outside, full of apology and panic.

”Sorry! Really sorry! May I ask if Plusle and Minun are here?”

”Minun!”

”Plusle!”

Seeing their Trainer, Plusle and Minun enthusiastically jumped into his arms, then the staff member who led the way came in, apologizing while taking the boy away.

It seems Plusle and Minun crawled here from the library’s ventilation duct on the upper floor.

A path typical for small Pokémon?

Baimu’s expression turned peculiar, and he asked loudly, ”Are you Xiaochao?”

”You—you know me?”

Xiaochao, with one foot almost out the door, turned his head in confusion.

”I know your father on a one-sided basis, so I have a vague impression of you too.” He explained with a smile.

Hearing this, Xiaochao merely thought he was an admirer of his father and hastily bowed, ”Oh, I see. I’m really sorry for bothering you this time.”

Evidently, this young man didn’t want the reckless behavior of Plusle and Minun to give Baimu a negative impression of his father.

”No problem.”

Baimu watched him leave.

Liuqia and Xiaoguang curiously asked, ”That child’s father?”

”Who is that child?”

”His name is Xiaochao, and his father is Dr. Rondo, one of the administrators of Larus City.” He explained softly.

Baimu had a rather peculiar view of Xiaochao, because the latter once developed a fear of Pokémon after directly facing the panic of Walrein and Sealeo groups...

To be fair.

He was amazed by Xiaochao’s good fortune—Simba’s father from the Lion King fell into a stampede and was instantly trampled to death, while Xiaochao huddled in front of a rock without anything blocking him and somehow remained entirely unharmed.

On the other hand, he couldn’t quite understand why this guy, due to the psychological shadow created by the chaos of Walrein and Sealeo, feared all Pokémon.

Wouldn’t it suffice to fear only the rampaging Walrein?

What do Pikachu and other Pokémon have to do with it?

If Pokémon feared humans due to poachers, it would make sense, given humans mostly share similar appearances; but Walrein and Pikachu...

Even if both are classified as Pokémon, they aren’t the same existence at all!

It’s like being knocked over by a pack of dogs in childhood, and thereafter fearing cats and mice together.

One can only say that in the Pokémon World, many humans fundamentally believe this world only contains two types of creatures—

Humans and Pokémon.

But now Xiaochao’s Pokémon phobia is cured, and Plusle and Minun have become his Pokémon partners.

”Poor Lillie might have to wait another half year or even a year.”

Baimu thought of Lillie far away in the Alola Region, who also suffered from Pokémon phobia.

However, her situation was more severe, not fully healed until the mid to later stages of the Sun and Moon animation, with her Pokémon phobia originating from Zaobu’s irresponsible Hypnosis Techniques, creating a psychological shadow aimed at memory erasure.

If one must resolve it, it’s much simpler than Xiaochao’s case.

At night.

The Convention Secretariat organized a dinner party for the participants.

Almost all coordinators eligible to compete showed up.

Some to observe their opponents, some for networking, and others to gather information—the bright hall was crowded with over two hundred coordinator trainers and Pokémon.

Amidst the comings and goings, Baimu was full of amazement.

”So many people earn five ribbons every year...”
