Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 894: Chapter 563: Taking on the Role of Hall Master (Part 2)

Cheering for others...

Can you not have a sense of crisis!

Unfortunately, for a Coordinator Trainer who is completely immersed in the Gorgeous Competition and idol career, the position of Gym Leader is not an attractive existence.

In summary.

Under Mikoli’s commission, Adam’s acquiescence, and Liuqia’s encouragement.

A new generation of Glazed Gym Leader was born.

Once the news was released, it immediately caused a sensation in the Glazed City area.

It’s important to know that the position of Gym Leader at the Glazed Gym has always been an important tradition passed down from master to apprentice among the Glazed People. Now, suddenly, a Mikoli Club winner is appointed as a temporary Gym Leader?

What is this?

After many years of relocation and migration, most of the Glazed City residents are no longer related to the Glazed People, but there is still a portion of pure Glazed People remaining.

They had the most significant reactions.

Baimu was quite concerned about the positions of Mikoli and Adam in this matter.

The latter two naturally would not revoke their decision because of external discussions and hardly reacted to it. But as members of the Glazed People, if they were to act willfully, would it affect their standing among the Glazed People?

He really didn’t want the two to be implicated because of him.

Unexpectedly, when Baimu was contemplating what he could do, all the public opinion and controversy that had arisen because of him vanished.

It wasn’t because the Alliance stepped in to silence people.

But because all the Glazed People accepted the fact that he took the role of temporary Gym Leader.

The reason lay in Elder Gang Cang, who was the most senior among the current Glazed People, stepping out to assert the significance of Baimu’s identity as an Inheritor of the Meteor People.

And also the ancient alliance that the Meteor People and the Glazed People must remain as close as family.

To Baimu’s surprise.

The connection between these two ancient races was even closer than he had thought, so close that being an Inheritor of the Meteor People made him eligible to become the Glazed Gym’s leader.

No wonder he was taken by Gang Cang to the deepest part of the Divine Hall of Awakening upon arrival, to witness the planet’s main artery with his own eyes.

The negative storm subsided.

Replaced by rebounding curiosity from the Glazed People, who constantly sought information about Baimu through various channels, and many Trainers applied to challenge the Glazed Gym.

Most were rejected by the old butler Sebastian.

The Glazed Gym, having met the badge task, could limit the number of challengers, a privilege granted by the Alliance to diligent Gym Leaders.

But still, three became new challengers, each scheduled for 1 PM over three consecutive afternoons.

Baimu soon faced his first Trainer from the Glazed People.

”Go Baimu! Go!”

”Churu! Churu!”

In the stands, Liuqia, dressed as a cheerleader, was elated.

When the public opinion storm raged on, she had firmly intended to cause trouble for some people offline in support of her beloved student, but Baimu stopped her with all his might.

As an idol from the Gorgeous Competition, how could she personally step into the arena? Wouldn’t her fans want her to?

Left with no choice, she showed her support through her cheers.

From the leader’s seat.

Baimu gave Liuqia a thumbs-up and then looked towards the challenger, who called himself Yangping, and said, ”Welcome to the Glazed Gym. Are you ready?”

The Gym Leader has the right to access the challenger’s previous Gym challenge records. Upon review, he found out this person participated in the Hoenn League conference five years ago and made it to the top eight?

For someone with a League record to challenge a Gym again, the Alliance’s rules are indeed strange.

”I’ve been ready for a long time! But you, it’s your first time as a Gym Leader. Can you properly encourage and evaluate challengers’ mistakes and oversights?”

Yangping, a sea youth with slightly dark skin from the Glazed People, looked at him smugly.

”Stay tuned.”

Baimu didn’t waste words, gesturing towards the referee seat where the old butler was, ”Please take over!”

The old butler nodded, loudly declaring:

”The Glazed Gym Battle now begins... Both sides can use a maximum of three Pokémon... Only the challenger can switch Pokémon! Let the battle begin!”

”Go! My favorite!”

Yangping threw forward a Pokeball.

Boom!

A flash of white light.

A dark silhouette crashed into the water, slowly rising again.

”Shaa!”

The shark, which appeared particularly ferocious but tailless, stared coldly at Baimu.

Sharpedo, the ferocious Pokémon, known as the sea’s bully, its teeth can penetrate steel plates, a nightmare for many ships.

Yangping loudly said, ”It seems like you’ve even changed the Gym’s rules? Isn’t it supposed to be doubles first and then singles, sending out a total of five Pokémon?”

”Hehe, I personally prefer the singles format.”

Baimu replied with a smile. As a Gym Leader, there is no mandatory smiling service, but if a challenger complains, it wouldn’t be easily resolved either.

He certainly didn’t want to impose fines on the Glazed Gym while he was acting as the leader.

As for changing the rules...

Frankly speaking, after reviewing Yangping’s information, he feared the guy would sulk after doubles battles.

Though they’d probably still sulk after singles, too.

Boom!

The Pokeball opened.

”Milo~”

The altered-color Milotic dropped into the pool. Seeing the menacing Sharpedo opposite, it was excited rather than scared.

You’re so fierce, you must have the Intimidating Trait, right? You must be!

To its disappointment, when it locked eyes with Sharpedo for over three seconds, the originally fierce tailless shark blushed and looked away.

Altered-color Milotic: ”???”

Why are you blushing? Are you that or not!

”Sharpedo! Don’t be bewitched by its appearance! Pull yourself together!”

Yangping, also stunned by the Milotic’s charm, quickly regained his senses and shouted at his Pokémon.

”Shaa!”

Sharpedo responded affirmatively, looking at the Milotic again with determined eyes.

Beautiful snake may be beautiful, but bros are more important!

”Great!”

Yangping couldn’t wait to order, ”Show them our strength! Water Jet!”

”Shaa!”

From the cut at its tail, Sharpedo suddenly shot out sea water!

Boom!

A dull roar sounded.

An azure light wave enveloped it, transforming it into a water missile piercing the surface, rushing towards the Milotic!

The speed was especially swift, nearly impossible for ordinary dynamic vision to track.

This made Yangping quite proud.

Just as Sharpedo was about to collide with the Milotic.

”Leap.”

”Milo~~”

Like a spring compressed to the extreme, the altered-color Milotic burst from the surface, twisting its long serpentine body slightly to adjust its direction, overlooking Sharpedo from above.

Yangping gasped and shouted, ”Turn around! Turn around quickly!”

It was already too late.

”Attract.”

”Milo~”

The altered-color Milotic winked its right eye, sending several hearts into Sharpedo attempting to make a sharp turn, ignoring the outer layer of the azure energy layer.

Swoosh!

The azure light faded.

Boom!

The altered-color Milotic fell back into the water, the nearby Sharpedo’s eyes replaced by pink little hearts.

”Sharpedo! Wake up!”

Yangping shouted loudly. He never expected that less than a minute into the opening, Sharpedo found itself in the worst possible situation!

”The speed is alright, but you need to expand its movement space. Why not let it fly in the air? Being confined to the water isn’t a good idea.”

Baimu’s voice rang in his ears, ”Also, your Sharpedo needs training to resist attraction; succumbing so easily isn’t good.”

The move Attract isn’t as universally powerful as it seems.

According to Adam, if a Pokémon has been trained to resist gender-based attraction, even if the attractor is highly charming, the hearts might not take effect.

From his experience as a Gym Leader, such Pokémon aren’t rare.

Unfortunately, his Milotic couldn’t undergo such training because a Coordinator Trainer’s Pokémon must possess aesthetic skills, a stronger appreciation for beauty. Strengthening resistance to charm would only make it indifferent to beauty.

”I don’t need you to tell me! Sharpedo! Wake up!”

Yangping continued shouting.

But no matter how loud he called, his Sharpedo wouldn’t wake up.

”Amazing! Amazing!”

In the stands, Liuqia excitedly shook her cheerleader pom-poms.
