Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 853: Chapter 545: Planetary Artery

Baimu paused in front of a mural.

”Hmm? Mega evolved Pokémon?”

The rocky wall was densely packed with Mega Pokémon of various sizes. Counting them one by one, he found they all included even Mega Diancie, except for Mewtwo’s two evolutions, which were absent.

Of course, not being there was normal. If they were included, he would be quite shocked.

He looked around swiftly, taking in the entire scene.

Feeling a bit hopeful, Baimu sighed.

Has the Super Evolution system been completely abandoned...

Logically, when XY Revival comes out, there should be some new Mega evolutions, along with various new settings. Perhaps you can’t find them online, but ancient wall paintings might preserve some new Megas.

If they can’t be seen, it means either the Pokémon World he traveled to is incorrect, or XY Revival is likely just like Jewel Drill Revival—a ”high-definition remake” outsourced.

The focus is on authenticity.

He felt a bit of regret.

Though Super Evolution was unbalanced, it was undeniably cool.

Perhaps he was tired of their original forms, as, from his personal aesthetic perspective, almost every Mega form had something that struck a chord with him.

In contrast, while the design elements of Pokémon from XY and subsequent generations of Gemstone Reproduction were interesting, not many matched his aesthetic.

Especially the ”Frankensteins” which were designed to mock museums fiddling with fossils.

The cuter they were depicted in the animations, the more pitiful they seemed afterward.

But at least they had the power to accompany Ash Ketchum to the Eight Masters and even the Champion level... To use a phrase he saw in his previous life—

There are such cool Pokémon!

”At the end?”

Baimu glanced at the wall in front of him. After tapping and knocking without finding any special mechanisms, he turned around and left, feeling a bit dejected.

Sure enough, such secret rooms were not for him to discover.

Returning to the entrance of the Divine Hall.

Blue sky and white clouds came into view, with a gentle breeze making him feel exceptionally comfortable.

Suddenly.

”Young fellow from Meteor Falls?”

”And you are?”

Baimu turned towards the sound and found an elderly man dressed in unusual attire, short and lean but with a kindly face, holding a staff.

His gaze shifted to the top of the staff, where a small Key Stone reflecting sunlight was embedded.

”I am Elder Gang Cang, the caretaker of this Divine Hall of Awakening.”

The elder spoke cheerfully, ”It has been a very, very long time since anyone from the Meteor People came here. I got a bit excited and stopped you. Sorry for the disturbance, young fellow.”

”You’re too kind... How did you know I am from the Meteor People?”

Baimu couldn’t help but ask.

He wasn’t wearing a cloak, and there were no Dragon-type Pokémon beside him. How could he be recognized?

Even the group of Dragon Tamers called by Wu mostly needed to observe his badge before daring to identify characteristics of the Meteor People in him.

”Ha ha ha, to tell you the truth, these discerning eyes have taken me across the world in my youth. Your aura and features leave no doubt of your identity.” Elder Gang Cang shook his head, looking quite pleased with himself.

Aura? Features?

Baimu couldn’t help but look down at his outfit, puzzled at what traits could be so readily identified as those of the Meteor People.

”Seems you’re particularly interested in this Key Stone, are you an Inheritor as well?”

Elder Gang Cang raised his staff and said regretfully, ”It’s a shame that my old bones are no longer up to it, otherwise I’d love to battle.”

”Hmm...”

”Speaking of which, since you’re of the Meteor People, you should have a look at the true Divine Hall of Awakening.”

”The true Divine Hall of Awakening?”

”That’s right, it’s the very heart of this island, where it all began.”

Elder Gang Cang revealed a mysterious smile, ”Surely you’re aware of the origins of Glazed City...”

As he spoke, he started walking forward, motioning for Baimu, who was still standing, to come along by waving his staff, ”Don’t stand there dawdling, come along quickly!”

”Alright.”

He glanced at his phone, saw no new messages, and followed after.

Elder Gang Cang led him back into the Divine Hall of Awakening. At first, they took the familiar path, but upon reaching a dead end, they suddenly turned, revealing a side path shrouded in darkness leading downward.

Baimu rubbed his eyes.

He was sure there had been nothing there before... Could it be some kind of illusion?

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Countless sensory lights lit up one after another along the path.

Baimu looked ahead, feeling inexplicably that the tunnel stretched on for at least a thousand meters.

”A thousand years ago, a meteor struck and created a Glazed City, but it also opened up the Earth’s ley lines. Natural energy surged from beneath the ground, causing Groudon and Kyogre to undergo Primordial Return and come to Glazed City to vie for the meteor and the natural energy...”

Elder Gang Cang recounted a history familiar to him and then dramatically shifted, ”But do you know the story of what happened after Rayquaza suppressed the Super Ancient Pokémon? About the torn earth and the meteor’s traces, have you ever heard this from your tribe’s elders?”

”...I’ve heard that the massive stone mysteriously vanished.”

Baimu repeated the information Da Wu had received from the elders.

”Mysteriously vanished...”

Elder Gang Cang murmured softly, ”Hehehe, it seems the Meteor People don’t want their descendants to pursue its traces, but alas, it has reappeared.

”You must have heard of the battle near Kanaz City’s coastal waters a month ago, involving Kyogre, Groudon, and two Rayquazas?”

Of course, I was on the scene cheering ”666” for the black Rayquaza.

Baimu thought to himself, outwardly responding, ”And you mean?”

”You’ve guessed it, haven’t you? Indeed, they were competing for that mysterious meteor that once created a Glazed City.”

Elder Gang Cang said, ”In ancient times, the Meteor People realized the meteor would bring endless catastrophe, so they entrusted the Glazed People to hide it and bury this part of history. Who would have thought it would surface again in my lifetime?”
