Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 246: Chapter 243: Angelic Aroma

[Simulation Begins]

In the pixel-style background, an ancient mansion nestled within a beautiful garden slowly comes into Baimu’s view.

In the garden.

Many Pokémon are walking to and fro, wandering everywhere. They are mostly grass, bug, and general attributes Pokémon, the types commonly found in the wild.

The camera pans to the entrance of the ancient mansion.

A big sister in a pink shirt and white skirt walks out of the mansion, accompanied by a Roselia not reaching knee height.

”Who is... this big sister?”

Baimu pauses for a moment, unable to recognize which NPC in the game this appearance belongs to, and temporarily categorizes her as the big sister.

A voice-over appears.

[At the age of eighteen, you decided to heed the advice of friends, to travel and witness more Pokémon, to verify and enhance your research findings]

Research... Findings?

Baimu stares in shock at the pixel figure, realizing that if she’s a researcher, she shouldn’t be dressed like this. The simulation subject’s profession remains quite elusive.

But before he can ponder for long, the voice-over provides him with an answer.

The pixel figure trots over to a Zigzagoon moving sluggishly with a blue bad mood icon above its head, waving a strange little bottle under its nose.

Soon, the Zigzagoon looks lively, running joyfully around the big sister.

In the blink of an eye, more Zigzagoon emerge from the bushes, happily playing and frolicking together with that Zigzagoon.

[You watch the revitalized Zigzagoon and smile happily, it’s precisely because of these adorable Pokémon that you have worked hard all these years to develop various essences]

Essences!

Baimu suddenly realizes who this is — [Sister Xiangfen]!

This type of trainer often uses Grass-type Pokémon in the game, and various aroma-symbolizing light points always surround them.

Huh, remembering what she’s called is not easy either.

He murmurs to himself, curious about what might drive Sister Xiangfen, dedicated to developing essences, to challenge a Gym... Wait, if the simulation subject doesn’t plan to challenge the Gym and tournament, does that mean there’s no reward, or just the basic reward?

That shouldn’t be the case.

Being chosen as the simulation subject should involve challenging Gyms and participating in tournaments.

Baimu feels uneasy, and then sees Sister Xiangfen along with Roselia plunge into the forest, walking freely among the mountains and woods.

It’s apparent that this person often roams the forest, although it looks like she’s searching for something...

Suddenly.

Sister Xiangfen squats down under a tree.

[You’ve acquired a five-year-old herb, making you extremely happy]

Herbs? Baimu watches as Sister Xiangfen and Roselia busy themselves throughout the forest, resembling diligent Combee, understanding that she’s collecting materials for essence production.

But soon he realizes that Sister Xiangfen isn’t just gathering raw materials; she also treats the injured Pokémon in the forest.

The latter always knows exactly where wild Pokémon lick their wounds or recuperate when sick or injured, able to locate their nests and coax them out to heal various injuries.

The Pokémon she treats range from Oddish and Seedot, and even the more difficult ones like Arbok and Dustox receive equal treatment, or get energized with incense.

Occasionally encountering uncooperative patients, Roselia boldly steps in, using Grass Knot or Parasitic Seed to tame them completely.

[You’ve discovered an injured Arbok, you healed its wounds, and it gratefully offers you a Tree Fruit, which you laugh and decline]

An Angel!

Baimu can’t help but admire, feeling that Sister Xiangfen is practically a barefoot doctor in the Pokémon World, healing wherever she goes, and her medical skills are particularly good.

So far, he hasn’t seen any Pokémon mentioned as untreated in the voice-over.

If Xiaogang encounters this angelic sister, he would probably be moved to tears and propose on the spot, wouldn’t he?

In the picture.

Sister Xiangfen continues treating various injured or sick Pokémon as she walks, mainly using raw materials from the forest to create healing medicine.

Of course, she doesn’t accept absolutely no compensation.

When encountering some Grass-type Pokémon, she collects some fluids or pollen from them, with the voice-over stating that these are the major raw materials for essence production.

Soon Sister Xiangfen has traversed an entire enormous forest and arrived at a town looking somewhat ”old-fashioned”.

Why old-fashioned?

Because most buildings here are in Japanese ancient architectural styles, only a few are modern concrete structures, inexplicably giving Baimu a sense of traveling back many years.

This simulation timeline must be quite early.

[You’ve arrived in Lavaridge Town, your yearning for the therapeutic hot springs drives you to eagerly contact your friends]

Sister Xiangfen stands by the street waiting for someone, soon an old-fashioned Beetle car arrives, with a woman in a dress alighting to pick her up.

Baimu almost couldn’t resist spitting out a mouthful of cocoa.

A black Beetle car!

When is this timeline!

He dares to swear this is the earliest simulation he’s seen, going back to the era of vintage cars.

Would there be no tournaments either...

That shouldn’t be the case, Yasha’s grandfather, the Gym Leader of Lavaridge Gym, has served as a Celestial King and retired, so the League tournament should have existed early on.

In the screen.

After arriving in Lavaridge Town, Sister Xiangfen enjoyed the hot springs under the hospitality of friends.

Their conversation includes the Gym.

[You’ve heard from friends about a very powerful Gym in Lavaridge Town, and they strongly suggest you challenge it, and mention the existence of a Pokémon not found in the Hoenn Region]

[You are very interested in this]

Following the voice-over, the picture shifts.

Sister Xiangfen searches for the Lavaridge Gym and knocks on its door.

Moments later, a young man emerges from the Lavaridge Gym, and upon seeing Sister Xiangfen, several texts flash across his forehead before quickly disappearing.

[From the Gym Leader, you learn that to challenge the Gym, you must own three Pokémon, which leaves you, who only has Roselia, feeling regret]

[You then propose to see the opponent’s Pokémon, but the Gym Leader refuses]

Gym Leader!

This is indeed Yasha’s grandfather!

Looking at the young pixel figure, Baimu realizes the timeline might be fifty or sixty years ago. And before becoming a Celestial King, Yasha’s grandfather also served as a Gym Leader, returning to this role after retiring as a Celestial King.

The screen shows Sister Xiangfen leaving reluctantly after being refused, but she clearly won’t be discouraged. Resolutely, she runs into the nearby forest to capture more Pokémon.

Baimu is amazed by her powerful drive.
