Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 214: Chapter 211: New Littleroot Town

Unlike the few small houses in the game, Littleroot Town in the animation is a very large seaside town.

Skyscrapers can be seen everywhere, with a train station connecting various cities, and even a huge port where the Milotic can dock.

Baimu remembered the last episode of the No Mark Chapter, Ash Ketchum’s Pikachu and Meowth encountered many wild Pokémon in the dock warehouse area, including large groups of Haunter. He wondered if they had been driven away.

As he disembarked, many trainers familiar with him came to bid farewell.

”Make sure to visit Kanto if you have the chance!”

”The same goes for Carlos!”

”You must come to Alola! I’ll treat you to the best Big Malasada!”

”The Angry Bun from Johto is delicious too!”

”Does it match my Flying Clouds Ice Cream?”

”What nonsense are you talking?”

”Yo! Not convinced? If not, let’s have a duel!”

”Bring it on!”

Seeing a group of lively characters causing a commotion, and his own wave of farewell being ignored, Baimu helplessly shrugged at the Mawile beside him.

”That’s how it is outside, full of talent.”

”Chido!”

Mawile agreed deeply, and urged the trainer to buy a good-looking tent and a cute pillow at the department store.

After more than a week of life on the ship, plus Baimu’s subsequent explanation, it finally understood that traveling mostly didn’t allow sleeping on a princess bed.

About this, Mawile felt a bit regretful, but had to compromise and agreed to buy an attractive tent and a cute sleeping bag or pillow.

Baimu readily promised.

He had quite a lot to do, having just arrived in the Hoenn Region.

The first stop—Pokémon Center.

Once not established in Littleroot Town, but with the city’s development, a three-story Pokémon Center was built.

”Chido...”

Mawile followed beside Baimu, gazing curiously around.

As a place in the main series regions helping trainers heal Pokémon, providing accommodation and food, its interior environment vastly differed from those in the Ore Region and on the Milotic.

Cleanliness and brightness were the foremost features, and Miss Joy as the Pokémon Center manager was the most crucial element.

”Chido?”

”Yes, she is also Miss Joy, just like the one we saw in Ore.”

Baimu lifted Mawile from the ground, placing it on a nearby cart, and put all the Pokeballs into the tray, ”Miss Joy, please conduct a routine examination and also register for the Hoenn Alliance challenge.”

”Alright, please wait a moment.”

Miss Joy wore a perfect smile as she summoned the Chansey nurse to take Mawile and the other Pokémon away, then connected the phone’s illustrated guide via a data cable, operating on the adjoining computer.

”Are you a novice trainer?”

Miss Joy asked in slight surprise upon seeing the illustrated guide level information.

Baimu nodded embarrassedly, ”Sort of... this is my first time traveling.”

”I see, I wish you enjoy the fun of traveling and challenging gyms on your upcoming journey.”

Miss Joy smiled and wished him well, ”If you have any questions, feel free to ask me at the Pokémon Center. The hall area is where trainers exchange Pokémon information, maybe you will hear some valuable news.”

”Thank you.”

He nodded, casually found a spot to sit, waiting for the examination to be completed while observing the surroundings.

Judging by current findings, the environment in the main series regions was indeed peaceful, with trainers in the hall mostly around ten years old.

A group of children, roughly one and a half meters tall, carried various strong or cute-looking Pokémon, which was uncommon in the Ore Region. However, this was probably the norm.

Baimu unconsciously relaxed against the sofa back.

Before long.

Mawile returned along with many Pokeballs.

”Lucky~” The Chansey nurse pushed the cart, full of smiles.

”Thank you.”

Baimu intended to reach out and stroke the nurse’s head in gratitude, but the Chansey nurse suddenly became wary, stepping back while her voice turned somewhat stern: ”Lucky!”

”Uh...” He felt a bit awkward.

”Haha, casually petting Pokémon nurses is considered impolite.”

A voice rang out from not far away.

Baimu turned his head and, upon seeing the speaker, showed a surprised expression, ”Xiaogang?”

With brown hedgehog-like hair and the iconic squinty eyes, though there was some difference to the 2D animated look, by intuition, this was surely Xiaogang, the former Pewter Gym leader.

The world was quite small, first meeting Xiaosheng on the Milotic, then immediately Xiaogang.

Was he at the Pokémon Center pursuing Miss Joy?

Indeed.

The other person was also surprised, ”We have met before?”

”Not exactly, but I’ve seen your photos online and records of others challenging the Pewter Gym,” Baimu casually made up an excuse, then added, ”Also, Xiaosheng has mentioned you.”

”Ah, Xiaosheng...”

Xiaogang, hearing about his former traveling companion, showed a flash of light in his narrow eyes, ”Did you come from the Milotic? We met once before his departure.”

”Yes.”

”Haha! Seems we’re quite destined, but the current Pewter Gym leader is my brother. I am currently training to become a Pokémon Doctor, and this is one of my training locations... By the way, what’s your name?”

”I’m called Baimu, from the Ore Region.”

Baimu extended his hand to Xiaogang, and they lightly shook.

In the game, Xiaogang was unmistakably an adult, appearing to be at least twenty years old, but in the animation, he seemed much younger.

Judging by his appearance, he presumably wasn’t much older than he was.

After pondering a bit, he said, ”May I ask if you have any free time now?”

”Is there something you need help with?”

”I want to consult you about Rock Attribute Pokémon, Steelix, and Chansey’s breeding issues. Xiaosheng said you’re an excellent Pokémon Breeder, and I hope to gain some experience from you.”

”You’re flattering me, but if it’s about breeding matters, I might not be able to spare time now. If you don’t mind, how about waiting until six o’clock when the internship is over...”

”Of course, I don’t mind, thank you so much!”

Baimu simply had a flash of inspiration and spoke casually, unexpectedly, Xiaogang actually agreed.

”No problem, glad to help you.”

Xiaogang laughed heartily, worthy of being Ash’s greatest support in the first four generations of traveling, generously sparing private time to assist Baimu, a stranger.

They chatted a bit more, becoming more familiar before parting.

”Got impatient? I’ll go buy something for you now.”

Baimu patted Mawile’s head, whose cheeks puffed up, resembling an impatient child tired of parents chatting with friends.
