Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 240: Chapter 237: Gorgeous Moves

”White Mist!”

Liuqia raised her right hand high, and Altaria let out a high-pitched and joyful cry.

”Chulu~!”

Like clouds, its wings trembled as it spun, sending a layer of spectacular white mist spreading outwards. Baimu and Mawile instinctively raised their hands to block their faces, yet they felt a gentle breeze brush past them.

The scent of dew lingered at his nose, swiftly skating across his body.

”Meteor Shower!”

Liuqia commanded again, and Altaria raised its head to expel a mass of purplish-red flames.

Baimu and Mawile tried to dodge, but found that the Meteor Shower didn’t cause any horrific destruction or impact. Instead, it bloomed like beautiful fireworks, turning into slightly scorching pink-purple light clusters that scattered down.

Amidst the surrounding white mist, these pink-purple light clusters emitted a dazzling and mesmerizing halo, falling and disappearing like raindrops.

They were like a meteor shower that flashed through the sky.

Truly, it was ”a celestial spectacle, resplendent in elegance.”

Mawile gazed at this scene in fascination, and Baimu couldn’t help but applaud, ”Wonderful! Wonderful!”

Influenced by special effects in the animation, the performances in the Gorgeous Competition sometimes weren’t so vibrant, but when translated into reality, they truly brought a kind of spiritual shock.

Just like summer nights, looking up to see fireworks forming patterns in the sky.

Unlike the tense and thrilling atmosphere in Pokémon battles, the Gorgeous Competition showcases nearly miraculous beauty, delivering a visual impact of beauty and elegance.

”Thank you.”

Liuqia bowed to Baimu and then smiled, ”And this is the content of the move performance in the first review segment of the Gorgeous Competition.

”The complete coordination between moves, the rhythm, whether slow or fast. It differs from battles where extreme destructive power is pursued. They are more towards stability and integration. You can even see the coexistence of water and fire, ice and fire.”

”I see.”

Baimu nodded. He already understood these parts, and hearing Liuqia’s guidance was more like a review session.

”Of course, it’s not necessary to have multiple moves coordinated together. As long as you utilize your imagination, a single move can actually express beauty. In addition, there is the coordination between the Pokémon and the trainer.”

Liuqia picked up the baseball cap set aside and abruptly tossed it towards Altaria, ”With the Wind!”

”Chulu~!”

Altaria flapped its cloud-like wings, stirring up a milky white breeze, lifting the baseball cap into the sky.

It spread its wings and ascended, circling the cap while gently fanning its wings like a dance to maneuver the cap, ensuring it didn’t fall while showing off its form.

Liuqia also danced along with Altaria, and their movements were spectacularly similar.

Ultimately, under Altaria’s control, the cap landed exactly on the hand Liuqia had raised.

”Chulu~”

Even the concluding moves of both parties remained synchronized.

Applause, applause, applause.

Baimu and Mawile almost clapped their hands raw, ”Amazing, amazing!”

The dance seemed simple, but there was undoubtedly a considerable challenge to it, and the synchrony of their actions gave the impression of a soul resonance between both parties.

”This is about the coordination between Pokémon and trainer and is a key tactic to earn high scores.”

Liuqia panted slightly, yet couldn’t hide her smile.

Obviously, she enjoyed this performance much more than starring in a morning drama or appearing on a variety show.

”Deciding on your performance project is very important because if you can’t even pass the first review, there’s naturally no way to talk about the second review.”

Liuqia advised.

”Yes, yes!”

Baimu and Mawile nodded enthusiastically.

”The second review is the Gorgeous Battle Competition. Though it includes the word ’battle,’ the preceding ’gorgeous’ is also very important. Not only must the Pokémon’s moves and performance be elegant, but the trainer must also maintain elegance; otherwise, point deductions will be severe!”

She reminded, ”Many trainers would fight recklessly with the aim of defeating their opponent, only to find that before beating their opponent, their own points had already been fully deducted.”

In other words, a one-hit kill is required.

Baimu silently commented in his heart that the most peculiar thing about the Gorgeous Competition in animation was the victory achievable by simply knocking out the opponent’s Pokémon, which was said to be a battle focusing strangely heavily on combat.

However, considering the fluctuating strengths of Pokémon in the animation, this can be understood. Pikachu could lose to Snivy, and in the Gorgeous Battle Competition, who dares to claim victory solely based on level and moves?

This aspect was successfully remedied in the Triple Crown Satellite Competition in the Carlos Region... yet only girls can participate in that competition, which is specifically held for girls.

Liuqia didn’t know what was in Baimu’s mind and continued, ”What you should do now is find a theme.”

”Theme...”

”Yes, unleash your imagination and let moves not be used so rigidly, adding more variation and aesthetics.”

Liuqia took out her phone from her pocket, ”I’ll recommend a few bloggers to you. They have recorded the performance content of each Gorgeous Competition’s first review. You might get inspired... Ah! I’m not telling you to copy them!”

She suddenly raised her hand and said in some panic, ”Copying someone else’s creativity is wrong, and it’s easily noticed by the judges.”

”I know, don’t worry, don’t worry.”

Baimu hastily guaranteed her, subsequently exchanging contact information and following several Gorgeous Competition bloggers.

Worried that the commotion just now might attract some lurking reporters, the two of them quickly left and found a quiet corridor to sit down.

”Thank you, I gained a lot today.”

He said gratefully.

”No worries, I’m delighted you can join this Coordinator Trainer community,” Liuqia waved, ”The more participants, the more exciting it gets!”

Most people would want fewer opponents to avoid being surpassed. She, on the other hand, preferred to have more opponents, making the competition more exciting.

Her outlook is truly different.

She would later approach Koharu for the Gorgeous Competition, presumably for the same reason. I recall she also invited Sarina to form an idol group, though it seemed it didn’t work out in the end.

”I might not be able to compete with you this time, but there will definitely be opportunities in the future.” Liuqia’s bright eyes were full of longing to participate in the Gorgeous Competition.

She could be considered a model of dedication, mirroring Ash Ketchum’s fervent obsession with Pokémon battles.

Perhaps it is due to this persistence that they can keep moving forward on their chosen paths, no matter the difficulties.

”May your future be bright.”

Baimu extended his hand to Liuqia.

Liuqia was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, ”May you make a stunning debut!”

Their hands lightly clasped together, and despite the significant differences in their age, gender, and even height, they still forged a friendship.
