Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 234: Chapter 231: Lucky Scale

Da Wu was watching intently.

Even though there was a screen between them, he picked up a monocular lens, only to put it down somewhat embarrassedly after realizing that it was hard to see the details even after magnifying it.

After a long time.

”Hmm... Baimu, if I may ask boldly.”

He said, ”Do you have any intentions of selling this whole piece of rock?”

”Does the whole piece mean even with the outer rock shell?” Baimu asked cautiously.

”Yes.”

Da Wu nodded, ”I personally seldom buy stones from others because I enjoy the process of searching. However, this piece of yours is really appealing to me, so I am willing to purchase it from you at a reasonable price.”

”...Alright.”

He agreed, actually wanting to say he’d give it for free seeing how much Da Wu liked it, but hearing the emphasis on the word ’purchase,’ he understood Da Wu was determined to pay for it.

”How should I hand it over to you then?” Baimu asked again.

”Though I would love to personally receive this stone, unfortunately, I have other matters to attend to right now. You might need to help me send the stone to the De Wen Company’s headquarters in Kanaz City.”

Da Wu gave him a string of phone numbers, ”Once you arrive, please contact this number. Someone professional will come to appraise it. Oh, and if possible, please don’t let my father see them.”

”Uh?”

”My father is as passionate as I am about stones, and I worry he might interfere if he sees them.” Da Wu sounded as though he was telling a joke.

But Baimu inexplicably felt he was dead serious.

What’s the deal with this father and son, will they fight over stones?

Can’t understand stone collectors.

”I understand.” Baimu nodded.

Da Wu paused and added, ”By the way, I mentioned earlier that I’d give you a gift the next time we meet.”

”Right!”

His spirits suddenly lifted, thinking Mr. Da Wu was going to mail him a Key Stone.

The latter, however, said helplessly, ”But it seems this gift conflicts with the arrangements the Meteor People have for you... I only found out about this recently.”

”Arrangements?” Baimu was puzzled, ”What have they arranged?”

”Huh? You don’t know yet?”

Da Wu seemed a bit surprised, then awkwardly said, ”Looks like I might have slipped up, saying what I shouldn’t have. Anyway, considering the arrangements over with the Meteor People, I’ve changed the gift for you and left it at the Pokémon Center in Kanaz City.

”When you get there, Miss Joy will pass it to you... So, that’s it for now.”

With that, the video call was disconnected.

It seems I’ve overheard something incredible...

Baimu scratched his chin, thinking from the information Da Wu provided, his identity as a Dragon Tamer descendant might really be confirmed, with the Meteor People already making plans for him.

Planning what? A challenge to become an Inheritor? Like Koruni’s kind?

But since they have plans, why didn’t they call me? He remembers having a few Dragon Tamer numbers.

Quite complicated.

Also, the fact that he really turns out to be a Dragon Tamer descendant leaves one speechless. Initially, it was just supposed to be a fake badge to fool others, yet by sheer coincidence, it has proved real.

”Let’s put this aside for now, the more important thing is here.”

Baimu turned to look at Aggron and Mawile, grinning and saying, ”Looks like we’re going to strike it rich? Though it might be a bit tiring.”

Initially, intending to shrink it to avoid moving such a heavy thing, it turns out now they have to move it as a whole.

The two Pokémon responded softly, pondering over how to move these two rocks.

Originally, one whole piece wasn’t easy to move, and splitting it into two made it even harder.

He tried stuffing them into his backpack, but alas, the two halves were still too large, and the opening of the space backpack wasn’t wide enough... Plus, whether he could lift it was another issue.

”Roar~”

Aggron tried to stack the two split rocks together and carry them on its shoulder, but it still wasn’t quite feasible.

Eventually.

Baimu took out a nylon rope and, following an online tutorial, fashioned a net bag, tying the rocks securely inside, making it much easier for Aggron to carry.

”Take the bus from Rinshin Town to Kanaz City, we should be there before dark.”

He looked at the map to confirm the direction they should head in.

But just as they were about to leave, eerie cries suddenly came from deep within the dense forest, quickly approaching from afar.

”...Shiftry?”

Baimu had previously fought life and death battles with this Pokémon, leaving a deep impression of its loud voice.

In the next moment.

Sure enough, on a nearby big tree appeared a white figure, wearing wooden clogs, with three long leaves as arms, a long pointy nose, slanted eyes, and big white teeth, looking rather fierce.

And beside the Shiftry was the Nuzleaf that nearly got punched by Mawile earlier.

”Well, well, let you off the hook, and you specially brought an adult back to offer?” The soon-to-be-wealthy Baimu was in a good mood and decided that if this guy attacked on its own, he’d just beat it up.

Upon the opponent’s unrelenting trouble, then consider sending it to Pyrite Town for ’reform through labor,’ to keep company with that Gyarados that nearly drowned Xiaosheng.

”Dgle!”

Shiftry glanced at Aggron and Mawile, then at Baimu, unexpectedly not attacking, but shouting instead.

”What’s it saying?”

Baimu asked, turning his head, seeing Mawile suddenly using Electromagnetic Levitation to fly up to Shiftry, doing something unknown in front of it, then flying back.

”Chido!”

It handed over the item it was holding.

”...What’s going on?” Baimu, looking at the orange-red rock similar to the sun, felt a bit stunned, ”Petalburg Forest produces Evolution Stones?”

After handing over the item, Shiftry left with Nuzleaf.

Mawile used its hand to gesture, telling the Trainer that Shiftry was here to ’apologize,’ since the nectar got spilled, so it gave him an Evolution Stone in exchange.

This is a profitable deal indeed.

”Is it really an Evil Attribute Pokémon?”

Baimu couldn’t help but doubt, thinking perhaps it was an elder individual, and such Pokémon grow wiser and more sensible with age.

In Petalburg Forest, it’s often in contact with Trainers.

Just that...

”Today’s luck is just too good.” He couldn’t help but murmur, with unearned wealth descending from heaven, inside information obtained, and a new Evolution Stone acquired.

Who knows when it might come in handy.

”Is your effect too exaggerated?” Baimu took out the Beautiful Scale, unavoidably attributing all the credit to this thing.

But if it’s really that effective, why hasn’t it helped Shunsuke solve the problem of having no visitors at the Gym?

...God knows.
