Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 203: Chapter 200: Menas (56/56)

Selecting a new Pokémon naturally involves considering the overall team structure.

From a game perspective, the team currently includes two low-speed physical shields, one support low-speed special shield, a developing low-speed physical attacker, and a developing medium-speed special attacker.

Considering the type advantages of the whole team, it’s important to fill the gap with a high-speed or extremely low-speed special attacker that can set up the field, with Grass, Ghost, Psychic, or Fairy attributes as top choices.

But in reality, given the absurd attack frequency in high-level matches in the anime, and the occasional surprise powerhouse move, you find there’s not much room for switching, so it’s crucial this Pokémon can change or hold its ground.

That makes the selection quite troublesome.

After pondering for a long time, Baimu couldn’t pick a suitable Pokémon. Even more frustrating is that the Pokémon clues are completely random; the Pokémon you choose might not meet the needs.

If a Pokémon appears that completely goes against the plan, should he keep it or not?

While the clue doesn’t force him to catch the designated Pokémon, there’s always a fated sense to it, which is quite tormenting.

”Ghost or Psychic attribute, one of these two,”

Baimu thought for a long time and suddenly realized he had more to consider.

Like the different challenges he might face while traveling, leading to the conclusion that Pokémon with these two attributes are very important.

The Ghost attribute ensures that he is not disturbed by spirits while camping outdoors, always keeping him safe; the Psychic attribute becomes versatile with its enhanced spiritual power, being useful in any danger or against bad guys...

It has to be the Ghost attribute.

He suddenly made up his mind, mainly considering that there are many skilled trainers for the Ghost attribute, and they can mostly learn Psychic-type moves, possessing spiritual powers comparable to Psychic-type Pokémon.

As for warding off real spirits, that’s just an extra effect that Baimu doesn’t pay much attention to. Indeed, it’s quite convincing.

He used the newly obtained clue.

The next moment.

The clue successfully revealed itself to Baimu——

[You need to board the luxury cruise ship Milotic by 3 PM tomorrow to participate in the fishing competition]

Milotic? Fishing competition?

Baimu was stunned for a moment, then searched for this name on his phone, quickly learning that Milotic is a luxury cruise owned by a wealthy person in Hoenn, ranked fourth in the world in scale, with a passenger capacity of over ten thousand.

He didn’t know how large the passenger capacity of those superyachts in his past life was, but just looking at the pictures on his phone was enough to understand how terrifying this thing was.

A further search revealed that Milotic was currently moored in the offshore area not far from the Ore Region, and tickets could be bought online.

Could it be a scam?

Baimu hesitated for a moment, deciding to ask Brother Fu, who had traveled abroad.

”Milotic is near the Ore Region? Then you’re really lucky. These superyachts often have many trainers aboard for fun. You can encounter Pokémon from all over the world. I’ll help you check the tickets...”

Shanren on the other end of the phone kept chatting, he couldn’t even get a word in.

Not long after.

”Settled, I’ve bought you a world access ticket. You can disembark anywhere you want, and when you arrive at Jinqing Port, call this number. Someone will pick you up no matter how late it is.”

Shanren babbled on, ”Remember what I said...”

Baimu quickly jotted down a series of numbers and asked, ”How should I transfer the money to you?”

”The organization will reimburse you!”

”Huh?”

”Just kidding, consider this ticket a small gift to celebrate your journey towards the future. But honestly, why not consider winning a tournament championship? This way, your future Pokémon breeding costs could be covered by the Rainbow Team, and no one would dare to say anything.”

”A tournament championship... I’ve considered it, I’ll try my best, but I can’t boast just yet.”

”By the way, where do you plan to go first?”

”Hoenn,”

Baimu said without hesitation: ”I chatted with the Dragon People on PokéNav. He said that after Lugia gained its freedom, it flew to Hoenn.”

——

In the animation world, Lugia is not unique.

Even if you leave out some parallel world movies, this still holds true.

The Sea God Lugia of the Orange Islands, the Lugia Mother and Child of the Vortex Islands, and the Lugia that appeared at the port of Kuye City during the journey, carrying Ash Ketchum on an adventure.

The high redundancy makes tracking that Shadow Lugia somewhat difficult, but it is believed that there is still a chance of encountering it.

Baimu had searched for sightings of Lugia and, after discarding some clearly fake pictures and messages, found a piece of information about the Hoenn Region.

The sender was a diver who, while cleaning ocean litter with Gyarados, suddenly saw a gigantic shadow pass by in a trench. At first, he thought it was a Wailord, but later realized its surface was bright silver.

He casually attached a video taken by his onboard camera.

In the deep, dark ocean, you can clearly see massive blurry figures swimming by, and there’s a fleeting silver gleam.

Therefore, whether it is to follow Da Wu’s footsteps, or to wait for a revelation of origin at Meteor Falls, a journey to Hoenn is a must.

At night.

After a grueling fourteen-hour drive, it finally ended.

Baimu had previously booked a hotel for himself, which might not be needed now, so he asked the somewhat drowsy Terry, ”What are you planning to do next? If you don’t have a place to stay...”

”Don’t worry about me, I’m here to find someone.”

Terry waved him off.

Baimu was a bit puzzled, ”Find someone?”

”Yeah, Ayana’s father, who was also an official in Pyrite Town but retired to seclude himself in Jinqing Port. I’m here to find him this time.”

Terry yawned.

”Your eyes are already half-closed, how are you going to find him? You should sleep first.” Afraid that this woman might crash along the way, he convinced her to rest.

After hearing her thunderous snores, Baimu dialed the number Shanren gave him.

”Hello?”

”Is this Mr. Baimu?”

The other person seemed to have been waiting for him all along, immediately identifying him, ”Have you arrived at Jinqing Port? Where are you so we can pick you up.”

”I’m at...”

Baimu was a bit surprised by the other party’s warmth, and after giving his location, he saw a hover car come towards him in less than five minutes.

After getting inside, he realized this car was specially used by the Milotic to pick up premium members.

Hearing this, Baimu knew that Shanren had used his financial power.

Rich people really are different.

He was inexplicably emotional, recalling the thirty million in his card and fretting. He must find a way to make money. At least ensure financial freedom to nurture his little Pokémon without hesitation.
