Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 236: Chapter 233: Da Wu’s Gift

Burger joint.

Baimu was eating the burger that Mawile took a couple of bites of but didn’t want, watching pedestrians outside with various Pokémon passing by, his thoughts still half an hour ago.

”In the future, if you discover any rare stones, you can send them here.”

Laisa took him to the sample storage room next door, where not only various rare gems and Evolution Stones were stored, but also all sorts of Super Stones that could lead to Pokémon Mega Evolution.

There were even two Key Stones.

Laisa introduced him to the functions of the Key Stones and Super Stones, stating that if he encountered multiple Key Stones, he could also send them to De Wen Company.

Multiple Key Stones...

It’s difficult enough for him to obtain just one Key Stone, let alone multiple.

”The Meteor People... what kind of arrangement is that anyway, can’t they just contact me?” Baimu sighed, fiddling with a gray-and-black orb in his hands.

[Aggron Evolution Stone].

Undoubtedly, this was a gift from Da Wu. Although it wasn’t the Beldum and Key Stone he imagined, it was a precious gift nonetheless, saving him the trouble of searching far and wide.

One should know that his team has more than one Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution, and a single Super Stone couldn’t satisfy him.

”Forget it, let’s not overthink this.”

Baimu quickly finished his burger, while the Mawile beside him was still noisily sipping a milkshake, ”Fries, chocolate pie, egg tart, and a whole milkshake; you won’t need dinner.”

”Chido~”

Mawile had an indifferent look; even if it wasn’t hungry now, if it did get hungry later, it would just go to Chansey to ask for something.

”No dessert after dinner either.”

This sudden remark made Mawile’s eyes widen, ”Chido!”

”I’m serious.”

”Chido~” Mawile tugged on Baimu’s sleeve, looking up at him with discontent. Seeing his resolute attitude, it grumbled while sipping the milkshake with a pouty face.

No cake again, how annoying.

Seeing this, Baimu said calmly, ”Eating too much makes you gain weight. You’ve seen those Pokémon that turned into chubby lumps; they’re both unattractive and unhealthy.

”And though you can’t have dessert, you can always have some tea! This time, let’s buy some nice tea, and maybe do a little shopping for things you like.”

Although he couldn’t taste the difference, Mawile could tell the quality of tea immediately. The tea Da Wu brought before was undoubtedly top-notch. Later, Baimu bought two cans, but Mawile disliked them for being not ideal in terms of price.

Given that he’d recently come into some money and was in a big city, he might as well splurge a little.

Hearing about going shopping cheered Mawile up immediately, looking expectantly and excitedly.

——

As one of the largest cities in the western Hoenn Region,

Kanaz City was dauntingly large.

Especially its shopping mall, spanning over twenty floors, each selling different kinds of items, dazzling Mawile with its abundance.

Excitedly, it dragged Baimu around until the skies were pitch black outside, finishing only when everyone was too hungry to continue.

”Oh, you sure have energy.”

Baimu was impressed by Mawile’s stamina.

Of course, he didn’t leave empty-handed either; as the headquarters for De Wen Company, this place’s Black Technology products were new, great, and affordable.

Like a new backpack with an interior space twice the size of his current one, for only half the price.

A super-compressed large tent, which solves the problem of setting up tents with just the push of a button. All users need to do is secure the corners with stakes to prevent it from blowing away;

De Wen diving gear that allows one to move freely underwater without an oxygen tank, a great aid for Trainers who favor Water-type Pokémon.

Running shoes that improve a Trainer’s escape ability, ideal when being chased by Pokémon like Beedrill or Ursaring, a must-have for thrill-seeking Trainers.

After buying a bunch of items, Baimu suddenly realized he’d casually spent over two million.

”Earning slowly but spending quickly, it’s so frustrating.”

He sighed and went to a hotel to book a room.

While lodging at a Pokémon Center is undoubtedly free, the big problem is that in large cities, there aren’t always enough single rooms, and those who wish to continue staying would have to find a way to share a double room with someone.

Baimu didn’t like that; he’d rather spend some money on a hotel. After all, to attract Trainers to stay, hotels offer services and facilities much better than Pokémon Centers. Otherwise, they wouldn’t compete with Miss Joy.

Inside the room.

He released his entire Pokémon team. Steelix, without a doubt, was sent back to Pyrite Town. Initially, he wanted it to stay for dinner, but after hearing that it had a thirty-meter-long tunnel to finish digging, he had to let it go.

This guy is truly ”wild”.

Baimu took out the Super Stone and walked towards Aggron, ”This is yours from now on.”

”Roar?”

Aggron blinked, grabbed it, and examined it until its Trainer explained what a wonderful item it was.

Baimu looked at various places on its body, contemplating where to put the Super Stone so that it wouldn’t affect its battle efficiency and wouldn’t easily fall off, maybe make a claw ring? Or try embedding it in its tail?

He contemplated this deeply and, when looking up, realized the Super Stone was missing from Aggron’s claw.

”Eh? Where did you put it?”

He was stunned for a moment, unable to find the Super Stone by checking both claws, suddenly turning serious, ”You didn’t eat it, did you? This thing might not digest well... wait! This thing is precious, so don’t eat it!”

”Groar~”

Seeing its Trainer get all anxious, Aggron let out a proud growl, flipping its claw to reveal the Super Stone again.

”Where did you actually put it?”

Baimu grabbed its longest frontal horn, threatening, ”If you don’t tell, I’ll sneak up at night and grind your forehead smooth!”

”Groar, groar.”

Listening to its Trainer, Aggron looked full of joy, with a feeling of finally teasing him successfully.

Soon after, it demonstrated by stuffing the Super Stone into the hole on the side of its head.

”...Storing it in the ’brain’ actually works.”

Who would’ve thought of that kind of operation? He climbed up and checked the hole in its head, seeing the Super Stone tightly wedged inside.

Actually, he had observed before, noticing no flesh or brain tissue, but more like a tiny mountain tunnel.

”Won’t this interfere with spraying sand?”

Baimu felt a bit concerned.

Hearing this, Aggron pointed at its mouth, indicating the main force for spraying sand was there, and the holes on its forehead only played a supporting role, just for increasing the amount of sand spray.

No big issue.

Besides, it kind of liked the sensation of something blocking the hole.

”What kind of hobby is this...” Baimu remarked speechlessly at it, ”We still need to test it though. You’ll be using your head a lot; I don’t want the Super Stone suddenly flying out mid-battle.”

”Roar~”

Aggron agreed.
