RE: LORD OF TIME

One thing William had noticed after fighting against the Crawlers last night and making No. 1 his slave was that these Crawlers didn’t possess even a shard of Aether Energy.

All of their abilities, including No. 1’s ability to move underground, came at the cost of their physical strength and soul power.

Because there was no Aether Energy, it also meant they didn’t possess an Aether Core, making it impossible for them to cultivate like him.

Even the auras of these Crawlers were different from those of normal Evolvers.

By the power of evolvers auras, William could tell whether they were at the Star Warrior Realm, Star Commander Realm, or a higher realm than that.

But because these Crawlers didn’t have Aether Cores and didn’t evolve like them, he couldn’t accurately guess their strength simply by their auras.

Just like the humanoid Crawler he was facing right now.

After exchanging blows with it, he could only tell that this Crawler was at least as strong as a Star Lord. As for how strong it was among Star Lords, he wasn’t certain yet.

Seeing William put away the kid and immediately charge at him, the Crawler revealed a furious smile and flapped its wings as well.

BOOM!

A sonic boom resounded, and it turned into a streak of black light.

In an instant, black and red lights rushed towards each other, and—

BOOOOOOM!

A loud explosion resounded in the sky as the two clashed against each other. The sound of metal clashing against metal echoed repeatedly as they fought at a speed impossible for ordinary people to follow with their naked eyes.

Rumble!

The ground shook again and again as the shockwaves from their battle swept in all directions.

No. 1 was so scared when it saw this scene that it immediately fled from the area along with the little girl, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire.

”Hahaha! Good! Good! It’s been so long since I met such powerful prey!” The Crawler laughed out loud as its blade clashed against Blood Moon, forcing William back into the air.

”To possess such strength despite looking so young, human, are you a member of the Black Tower?”

William steadied his body after being pushed back and frowned slightly at the Crawler’s question.

’Is this Black Tower one of the forces in this world?’ He thought inwardly but did not answer.

Another thing that made him clench the handle of his sword tightly was that he was actually at a disadvantage against this guy. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Not only was this Crawler’s mastery of blade arts terrifying, but its strength was also completely abnormal.

Despite the bonuses from his Trait and Child of Blood ability, he still couldn’t gain any advantage over it.

’If things drag on, I will have to use more and more Aether Energy...’ William took a deep breath, and his eyes narrowed.

A golden ripple washed over his body, and he once again activated Time Acceleration, increasing it to 1.5× speed.

Without speaking a word, his figure flickered, and before the Crawler could react, he crossed the distance of nearly fifty meters and appeared right in front of it.

The Crawler’s pupils contracted at the sudden increase in William’s speed, and by the time it reacted—

Swish!

A sword light flashed, and black blood splashed into the air as a deep wound appeared on its shoulder.

If it hadn’t shifted its body at the last moment, its head would have been severed instead.

William was also stunned when the Crawler reacted in time, but he didn’t stop his attack, and the sword in his hand turned into afterimages, attacking the Crawler from all angles.

’This speed...’ The Crawler was shocked and hurriedly swung the blades protruding from its arms, barely managing to deflect William’s attacks.

But suddenly, just as it was about to block another of William’s attacks, the incoming sword shifted slightly and bypassed its blade, slashing at its chest.

”Argh!” A painful groan escaped the Crawler’s mouth, and it stumbled backward.

William took advantage of the opportunity and continued to press on, Blood Moon dancing around the Crawler’s body and leaving behind one wound after another.

”You bastard!” The Crawler’s eyes turned bloodshot from pain and anger after being cut again and again.

Seeing another attack coming towards its chest, a ruthless glint flashed in the Crawler’s eyes, and instead of defending itself, it suddenly took a step forward.

The blades protruding from its arms gleamed with cold light as it swung them towards William’s neck.

William was taken aback by the Crawler’s action, as he hadn’t expected it to suddenly stop defending and attack him instead.

Blood Moon reached its target first, leaving a deep wound on the monster’s chest and shattering some of its ribs.

But William had no time to care about that, as two black blades gleaming with cold light were just inches away from his throat.

Just as the blades were about to send his head flying, a silver light flashed, and William’s figure instantly disappeared.

Blink!

Using the Blink Skill, William appeared ten meters away from the Crawler.

The Crawler was stunned when William suddenly disappeared. But before it could react, the space right where William had been a second ago rippled, and—

Swish!

A sword light flashed, leaving another deep wound on its chest.

Time Echo!

Using the Time Echo ability of the Time Star Codex, William had successfully inflicted another bone-deep injury on the monster.

”You damn insect! I will rip you apart!” The Crawler let out a roar full of anger and looked at William with hate-filled eyes.

But William’s eyes remained cold, and he spoke indifferently.

”That was the tenth wound.”

The Crawler was confused upon hearing William’s words.

But the next second, a look of horror appeared on its face as a strange energy erupted from the ten wounds William had inflicted on its body, moving towards the final wound on its chest.

Blood Burst!

The first ability of Blood Moon was triggered, and before the Crawler could do anything, the blood in its body went out of control. The next second—

Bang!

Its entire chest exploded, sending fragments of flesh, blood, and bones flying in every direction.

The Crawler’s eyes were wide open as it stopped flapping its wings and fell from the sky.
