RE: LORD OF TIME

William placed his hand on the head of the unconscious Crawler, and his eyes glowed with milky-white light.

After becoming a Star Commander, the boost William received in his soul power was very huge compared to other people who broke through to Star Commander level because of his Epic Grade Trait—Soul Spring.

Although it was still very difficult, almost impossible, for him to use his soul power in direct combat, it didn’t mean his soul power was useless.

Not being able to use his soul power directly in a rapidly changing combat situation didn’t mean he couldn’t use it against an unconscious opponent who was in no condition to defend itself.

Putting all of his focus on his soul power, William utilized every ounce of it.

Even with his experience from the original timeline, it was actually very difficult to gather his soul power.

But as time passed, under his extreme control and with the help of True Wisdom, all of his soul power gathered at one point and turned into a small needle within his sea of consciousness.

Beads of sweat rolled down William’s face, but he didn’t lose focus.

A few seconds later, a notification suddenly flashed before his eyes.

(You have learned Low Grade Battle Art—Soul Needle)

William ignored the notification that appeared before him, and a piercing spiritual intent suddenly burst forth from his eyes.

A sharp needle, invisible to the naked eye and made of pure soul power, shot out from his glabella and struck the unconscious Crawler directly on the head.

Shriek!

The unconscious Crawler suddenly let out a piercing scream filled with unbearable pain, and its body rolled on the ground, black blood oozing out from its deep yellow eyes, ears and nose.

William’s face was also pale because of using his soul power, and he felt a throbbing pain in his head.

But despite that, he still took a step forward and grabbed the head of the rolling Crawler with all of his might, stopping it from moving.

Using force, he turned the Crawler’s head toward him, making it stare into his eyes.

With black blood oozing out of its eyes, the Crawler stared into William’s glowing red eyes, and its heavily injured soul instantly fell into a trance.

William didn’t open his mouth, as he knew the Crawler wouldn’t understand his meaning if he spoke normally.

Instead of speaking directly, he used his soul power to convey his meaning directly into the Crawler’s mind. Suitable spiritual fluctuations came from his body, carrying his intent directly to the Crawler’s mind.

’I Am Your Master From Now On!’

Hearing William’s words directly in its mind, under the effect of the Mind Suggestion skill, the Crawler’s mind went blank for a moment.

But not long after, a faint red glow flashed in its eyes and it lowered its head in front of William, indicating that it was already under his control.

”Hooo...” William let out a sigh of relief and slumped onto the ground, rubbing his throbbing head.

”As I thought, this guy’s soul power is very high...” He muttered under his breath as he looked at the giant Crawler before him, who was also slumped onto the ground, letting out painful voices from its mouth because of its injured soul

The reason William went through all the trouble to turn this Crawler into his slave was because of its ability to move underground.

In his current situation, William needed to save every bit of energy possible until he figured out what kind of place this Trial Realm truly was.

As such, since the moment he had seen this Crawler, who could move underground and was even able to control other Crawlers to attack him, he had decided to take control of it.

But the problem was that this Crawler’s soul power was unusually high, and with his current ability, it was difficult for him to control it simply by using Mind Suggestion.

So, in order to control it, it was necessary to injure its soul so that he could control it using Mind Suggestion.

Soul Needle was something that he had learned in the original timeline, a Low-Level Battle Art that was specialized in directly utilizing soul power. ℴ

If it wasn’t because of his Soul Spring Trait, which increased his soul power to way higher than that of a normal Star Commander, he wouldn’t have been able to use this battle art at his current level.

’I have a feeling that the reason the soul power of these Crawlers is so high is because of that Spirit Orb that dropped earlier...’ William thought and took a deep breath.

He stood up from the ground, and his lips arched upward slightly.

”With this guy under my command, not only would it become more convenient to move around, but I can also task it with gathering information for me.”

William tried to use Time Star Codex to recover his strength.

But as he used it, he remembered what kind of place he was in and sighed.

’Not only is Aether Energy unavailable, but Time Star Codex is even having difficulty recovering my soul power...’ William looked at the darkness around him, wondering just what kind of place this Trial Realm was that could suppress his powerful cultivation technique to such a degree.

”Go rest on the side. Don’t make any noises,” He said to the Crawler and walked over to the unconscious little girl, planning to rest as well.

But just as he got closer to her, William suddenly sensed something and immediately turned his head to the side, a serious look appearing on his face.

’So many auras...’ He thought inwardly and quickly walked over to a boulder ahead, hiding behind it while only peeking his head out to look into the distance.

Rumble!

William suddenly felt the ground beneath his feet trembling, and as his gaze swept over the distance, his pupils contracted and goosebumps rose all over his body.

’What the fuck is going on there?’
