RE: LORD OF TIME

Lucius stared at the green hair growing all over Franklin’s body with horror-filled eyes.

He did not know why, but just looking at them made his mind tremble violently, as if his soul was about to shatter.

Franklin’s body slowly morphed into a strange being. The size of his skull increased, and his limbs twisted, making him crawl on all fours.

Combined with all the strange green hair and blood-dripping hollow eyes... He looked like something out of a horror story.

For a moment, Lucius felt his sanity fading just by looking at the strange being in front of him.

”Just what happened to him?” The old man muttered in a fear-filled voice and backed away from Franklin, who was crawling on the floor, letting out strange sounds from his mouth.

Just as Lucius was feeling horrified, his eyes revealed a trace of confusion, and his mind fell into a brief daze.

Meanwhile, Franklin, who had turned into a strange being let out horrified voices from his deformed mouth as his body began to fade.

Slowly, it turned illusionary as if he was just a mirage.

Franklin could feel his consciousness was also rapidly fading, as if something was erasing everything about his existence.

Whether it was his name, his deeds, his memories... Everything about him was disappearing.

’Just what kind of being did I provoke?’ Franklin thought using the last bit of sanity he had left.

Suddenly, Franklin’s gaze fell on his status window, and he saw even his status window was slowly fading away from his vision.

But through his rapidly fading vision, he saw something on his status window that chilled his heart to the extreme.

---) Name: None

---) Race: Being Of Chaos

His name had disappeared from the status window, and his race had turned into something strange.

Moreover, he also noticed the last two notifications that he had received earlier.

(You have glimpsed at a Taboo)

(Your past has been altered, your present has disappeared, and your future has been destroyed)

’Taboo...’ Franklin thought about the giant figure that stood above the sky and felt immense fear in his heart.

He did not understand Who or rather What that figure was, but just the word Taboo brought him an immense sense of fear.

’Past has been altered...’ Franklin looked at his current self, and seeing how he had turned into something strange from a human, he understood that everything about his past, including the fact that he was born as a human had been changed.

His rapidly fading figure indicated that his present had disappeared; his existence simply didn’t exist anymore.

And future has been destroyed meant that there was nothing left of him. He was going to disappear right here at this moment, with no traces of his existence left behind.

’At least let me know What was that thing that made me disappear...’ This thought briefly flashed through Franklin’s mind before he completely disappeared.

Lucius, who had fallen into a daze a few seconds ago also came back to his senses by this time and looked around in confusion.

He had forgotten everything about Franklin, with no memory of his existence in his mind.

In fact, it wasn’t just Lucius. Everyone who knew about Franklin forgot him.

Whether it was memories about him, things related to him, or anything else... Everything about him ceased to exist.

”This room has been empty for quite some time. I should give it to a Templar Knight so that it could be put to use...” The confusion in Lucius’s eyes slowly faded, and a new reason as to why he came to this room automatically came to his mind.

He turned around to leave the room but suddenly noticed the small stone on the side table.

”I am really getting old...” He sighed and shook his head. ”I needed to put the part of my Lord’s statue in the Sanctuary, but I accidentally put it here.”

Saying this, he picked up the stone and silently left the room.

As he walked, his gaze turned serious.

”The reason behind the strange phenomenon in the multiple realms is still unknown...” He took a deep breath and clapped his hands.

”My Lord, please protect your believers and do not let any harm come to them.”

****

William looked at the glowing symbol at the back of his palm, a deep frown on his face.

Victoria noticed the change in his expression and came forward.

”Are you alright, My Lord?” She asked. ”Were you injured while testing your skill?”

William looked at Victoria and saw that, just like Vivian, she also couldn’t see the symbol on his hand.

Taking a deep breath to keep his head cool, he shook his head.

”I am fine. Just a little tired because of my breakthrough.”

”Is that so...” Victoria didn’t find anything wrong with his words and nodded.

”You should head back to your room and take proper rest. Your friend still hasn’t come. If he comes, I will send him directly to your room.”

”Thanks for your help, Victoria.” William didn’t deny her suggestion and left the training room.

As he moved, he noticed the symbol on his hand stopped glowing and returned to normal.

’Damn you, can’t you tell me why you turned into a light bulb out of nowhere...’ William couldn’t help but complain inwardly when he saw the symbol simply stopped reacting without giving him any idea about what had just happened.

’Is it because I broke through to the Star Commander Realm, and it’s urging me to go to the location pointed to by this symbol?’ He speculated on his own.

Since the first day William had obtained the symbol, he could feel the symbol was like a guiding mark and was pointing out a location for him.

But because William could feel that location was very far away, he didn’t care about it until now, as even if he wanted to, he couldn’t go there.

’Maybe I should put a plan of going there in motion soon...’ He thought to himself and returned to his room.
