Global Lords: My Species Can Mutate

Chapter 56: Chapter 55: Crossing the Volcano

“By the way, how did you get to know Yin Tiange?”

En route, Yan Wu couldn’t help asking.

“Him? Not really knowing him; he contacted me when I got the first place actively.” Lin You shrugged.

He actually didn’t know much about this Yin Tiange.

The reason he chose to collaborate was purely to increase the odds of passing through the Gray Mist Area.

For this, he specifically pulled Yan Wu into the team, partly to add allies for balance, and partly because he had worked with Yan Wu before and their relationship was adequate.

Seeing Yan Wu ask this, Lin You in turn asked: “Why? Do you know him?”

“I just met him once,” Yan Wu replied, “The time he brought the Migrating Pearl to me, we chatted a bit.”

“Then what do you think he is like?”

“Hard to say, feels like he hides deeply, hard to fathom.” Yan Wu said, furrowing his brow.

Hearing this, Lin You also sank into contemplation.

From their brief contact these days, it could be seen that this Yin Tiange acted very methodically and purposefully.

Even pulling him into the team was timed with him taking the first place and showing true strength, obviously only doing things beneficial to him.

Combining Yan Wu’s description, it indeed made him curious about what kind of person Yin Tiange was.

Also, there was Bai Haitang.

As a woman who had always been near the top of the list since it started, her strength couldn’t be underestimated, and the fact she knew Yin Tiange was noteworthy.

Thus.

The two chatted leisurely while traveling.

Marching grandly across the wasteland with their Species, their speed was indeed not slow.

Along the way, many passing Lords noticed them, all fleeing far due to the terrifying Species beside them, not daring to provoke.

Let alone those Territories.

Seeing Lin You and his group approaching, they were immediately frightened back into their Territory, leading all Species into a battle array.

However, those Lords didn’t anticipate that Lin You and his group were merely passing by, not even sparing them another glance.

As the two gradually went away until they were out of sight, several adjacent Lords gathered together, faces full of fright.

“Who are those two guys? How come they have so many Species with them?”

“I’ve never seen such exaggerated Species, don’t they need to leave Species to guard their Territories?”

“When they passed by my Territory, I nearly suffocated, could they all be Tier Five Species?”

“Tier Five? Can Tier Five have such a powerful presence?”

“There’s no way they could be Tier Six, right?”

“…”

After chatting for a while, these Lords still couldn’t make sense of it.

After all, the main forces were just starting to reach Tier Five, how could anyone have cultivated so many Tier Six Species?

They were just unwilling to believe it.

After chatting a bit more, they hastily scattered, rushing back to their Territories with their Species, merely considering it an illusion.

On the other side.

Lin You and Yan Wu strolled, taking breaks intermittently, encountering numerous demons blocking the way.

Yet, the Species beside them easily dealt with those, not delaying much time.

It wasn’t until the afternoon when the sun was about to set that the fiery volcanic region finally came into their view.

“It’s the volcanic region at the edge of the wasteland!”

Yan Wu’s eyes instantly lit up.

“Volcanic region?” Lin You looked puzzled.

“Yes, the edges of the Endless Wasteland are surrounded by a volcanic area, and they say once we pass through the volcanic region, we can reach the area’s boundary!”

Yan Wu hastily explained.

Upon hearing this, Lin You suddenly realized: “I see, if that’s the case, let’s find a safe place near the volcano entrance to spend the night, and continue early tomorrow.”

Yan Wu: “True, it’s said this volcanic region stretches over a hundred kilometers, at our speed, it might take a long time to cross.”

With that, the two didn’t linger, continuing towards the volcanic region’s edge.

As the sun completely set, they finally found a huge cave at the foot of the mountain.

After some discussion, they decided to spend the night there, letting the Species take turns keeping watch.

After all, once night falls, many demons would come out to forage, and having a safe place was better.

And due to the proximity to the volcanic area, the temperature here was considerably higher, so they wouldn’t fear the cold at night.

Perhaps it was the exhaustion from a day’s journey.

Lin You and Yan Wu briefly discussed the next plans, ate some food, and each rested in the cave’s corners.

…

A night passed uneventfully.

As they woke, the two left the cave, continuing on their journey.

Very soon.

They led their Species into a land filled with scorched earth in the volcanic region.

High-tier demons appeared more frequently around, with Tier Five and Tier Six demons emerging occasionally.

“Seems these demons also upgrade, back when those people came, there were no Tier Six demons yet.”

Yan Wu casually killed a demon as he spoke.

Beside him, Lin You directed the Plants to clear away the remaining demons, brows furrowing.

His Plant Type Species were inherently fearful of flames.

The volcanic region was where the fire Energy was most intense.

His Species wouldn’t exactly be harmed, yet they appeared listless, seemingly repulsed by this area.

He said, “No choice, we must speed up our progress, or these demons will only waste more of our time, Lingxi.”

With his words, Lingxi, who was atop the Tree Spirit General, led the Wood Spirit Legion soaring forth, the Magic Staff dancing continuously in hand.

In a flash, waves of Fluorescence fell, enveloping the Plants inside, swiftly restoring their Spirit.

“Is this… Healing Skills?” Yan Wu exclaimed in surprise.

“Yes, Plant Type Species do more than attack.” Lin You smiled slightly.

Upon hearing this, a trace of envy emerged in Yan Wu’s eyes.

His Elemental Species attacks were mighty and could even cover a wide Range with remote strikes, but their survival Ability wasn’t outstanding; should their inner core shatter, they would instantly dissipate.

Unlike Lin You’s Plants, even if the main body was harmed, they could rapidly recover and regrow.

That was probably the advantage of Plant Types.

With the Healing Skills of the Wood Spirits, their advance became much more relaxed, encountering no decrease in numbers.

Countless demons were slain, and roads traveled.

It was near dusk when the unchanging volcanoes finally faded away, transforming into a vast plain enshrouded in mist.

Upon a glance, one could vaguely see the sky shrouded in gray, covering most of the sky completely.

“Gray Mist!”

Upon seeing that gray area, Lin You shuddered, hastily leading the Plants away from the volcanic region, stepping into the plain.

Yan Wu followed closely, eyes full of excitement.

To reach this place, they traveled almost nonstop, taking two whole days.

This was even after their bodies were enhanced and their speed was swift.

Luckily their Territories were fairly nearby, allowing them to arrive before the month’s end, feelings naturally hard to suppress.

Just at this moment, a voice suddenly came from afar.

“You finally arrived, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time.”
