Global Lords: My Species Can Mutate

Chapter 54: Chapter 53: On the Eve of Departure

One night quickly passed.

Under the experience boost from the Ancient Tree of Knowledge all night, the Mushroom Demon King finally successfully upgraded to Tier Two as dawn arrived, becoming a Tier Two Explosive Mushroom.

[Name: Explosive Mushroom·Mushroom Demon King (Royal Family)]

[Race: Plant]

[Level: Tier Two (0/25)]

[Power: 10]

[Constitution: 18]

[Agility: 18]

[Spirit: 22]

[Skills: Explosive Spores, Explosive Mastery]

[Introduction: King among fungi, explosive ability greatly enhanced.]

Don’t underestimate this little guy just because it’s Tier Two.

In the morning, when Lin You came down from the Lord’s Wooden House, he found it was already mingling with the other plants, basking in the sun surrounded by several Tier Six Twin Mushrooms, almost exuding the imposing aura of a mushroom gang leader.

The scene indeed made Lin You find it amusing yet troublesome.

As expected of a royal among fungi, its status is indeed unusual.

And the Mushroom Demon King, now upgraded to Tier Two, displayed aspects that set it apart from ordinary Explosive Mushrooms, as it could already move away from the ground.

This way, it saved Lin You a lot of effort, allowing him to directly take it out for level grinding without relying on the slow experience accumulation from the Ancient Tree of Knowledge.

So after dealing with matters within the territory, Lin You took the Plant Legion and the Mushroom Demon King out of the territory.

On the way.

Lin You casually opened the leaderboard and found that apart from him and Yin Tiange still maintaining the first and second positions, Bai Haitang and Yan Wu had both dropped out of the top ten.

Even within the top ten, there were significant changes, with a batch of newcomers taking over.

It seemed that those two were recently busy gathering resources and hadn’t paid much attention to their rankings. After all, collecting over sixty thousand Magic Energy wasn’t that easy.

Of course, this was only temporary.

With their abilities, they would definitely catch up again sooner or later.

As for why he and Yin Tiange were still holding their ground, it was because they had Tier Six Species.

Just based on this, they could overpower most people.

After checking the leaderboard, Lin You then opened the regional channel.

After observing for a while and not finding any valuable information, he directly closed the interface.

Not long after.

He led the plants into the forest, exploring everywhere within it.

With some luck, they hadn’t walked for a few minutes before encountering two Tier Three Corpse Dogs.

“Quick, quick stop them, don’t let them run.”

Upon seeing the Corpse Dogs, Lin You’s eyes lit up and immediately instructed the Pink Demonesses to throw out vines, surrounding them.

The two Corpse Dogs were evidently of low intelligence, as they roared angrily and charged towards Lin You upon seeing a living person.

But they hadn’t charged far before being tied up by the vines.

Then, following Lin You’s indication, the Mushroom Demon King left the group and threw a multitude of red mushrooms at the two Corpse Dogs.

“Boom boom boom——”

A series of intense explosions caused the surrounding trees to tremble, making the two Corpse Dogs scream incessantly from being blasted.

The power and range of the explosions almost matched that of Tier Three.

This wasn’t all.

The Mushroom Demon King seemed not to have had enough fun yet, bouncing around as it picked a few newly grown mushrooms from its body and threw them one after another into the explosion center.

Then another series of explosions followed, and finally, the two Corpse Dogs’ screams came to a halt.

[Killed Tier Three Corpse Dog, gained 10 points of Magic Energy.]

[Killed Tier Three Corpse Dog, gained 9 points of Magic Energy.]

Goodness, to solve two Tier Three demons so easily, this little mushroom’s explosive power is truly remarkable.

When the dust settled, Lin You glanced at the condition of the two Corpse Dogs, which was simply too dreadful to look at, as there were barely any intact areas left.

And the Mushroom Demon King, due to the cross-rank kill, gained 10 points of experience, which was almost half its bar.

I have to say, using this method to level up low-tier species is actually quite effective, quicker than anticipated.

As for whether the Pink Demonesses’ vines would be affected by the explosion, Lin You wasn’t too worried.

After all, they were Tier Five Species, and Tier Two attacks couldn’t easily harm them.

So, for the rest of the time, Lin You did nothing but lead the plants to continue searching for demons in the forest, leveling up the Mushroom Demon King.

As long as they encountered demons below Tier Three, they would leave them to the Mushroom Demon King to handle, letting it accumulate experience.

For those above Tier Three, other plants would kill them to accumulate Magic Energy.

…

Continuing like this, leveling up while moving forward.

An entire day quickly passed.

A prompt sounded in Lin You’s ear.

[Congratulations, Explosive Mushroom experience has reached full value, successfully upgraded to Tier Four!]

As the sound fell, the Mushroom Demon King was enveloped in light, its body gradually changing, becoming a Tier Four Fission Mushroom.

[Name: Fission Mushroom·Mushroom Demon King (Royal Family)]

[Race: Plant]

[Level: Tier Four (0/100)]

[Power: 50]

[Constitution: 77]

[Agility: 77]

[Spirit: 91]

[Skills: Explosive Mushroom, Explosive Mastery, Fission]

[Introduction: King among fungi, explosive ability greatly enhanced.]

Through this period of observation, Lin You discovered.

There is a massive watershed between Tier Three and Tier Four.

Because after crossing Tier Three, attributes begin to grow exponentially, and new skills are also realized.

The Mushroom Demon King, upgraded to Tier Four, similarly realized the “Fission” skill, further enhancing its explosive ability.

If progress continues at this rate, it wouldn’t take long before it catches up with the main group, becoming a major offensive asset for him.

Moreover, the Mushroom Demon King was very diligent today, striving to kill demons and elevate its own experience, otherwise, it couldn’t have upgraded so quickly.

Thinking of this, Lin You couldn’t help but praise, “Well done, I’ll give you a treat when we get back.”

As he spoke, he reached out and patted the Mushroom Demon King’s mushroom head.

The Mushroom Demon King seemed to enjoy it, rubbing its head against Lin You’s palm, then happily bouncing around him like a child at heart.

Lin You smiled slightly, looking at the other plants beside him, “You all worked hard today as well. Let’s head back.”

After saying this, he headed back to the territory, escorted by the plants.

…

Back in the territory.

After feeding some Overlord Flowers with the newly acquired corpses, Lin You went to the clearing to prepare food.

Just as he sat down, he received a private message from Yin Tiange.

“The Migrating Pearl has been made and delivered to Yan Wu’s hands, be prepared, set out for the region border in a few days, it’s better to start early.”

Seeing the message, Lin You’s originally relaxed mood instantly tensed up.

After thinking for a moment, he immediately replied, “Okay, inform me when setting off, I’ll be there as soon as possible.”

“Alright, I’ll send you the rendezvous location later. Bai Haitang and I will be waiting for you there, and it’s best not to spread this matter around. It could cause panic and might be discovered by those above.”

“I will.”

Lin You took a deep breath.

His life was uncertain on this journey, and he couldn’t afford to worry about other things.

If given a chance in the future, he might try to save this realm, but…

At this thought, Lin You sighed, then stopped thinking too much, with his expression gradually becoming serious.

This mission was crucial for him, not allowing a single bit of carelessness.

He worked hard for so many days to cross the Gray Mist Zone and escape this area.

If he fails, he will inevitably fall into a hopeless place, trapped in this area forever; to say he wasn’t anxious would be a lie.

After sitting quietly for a while, his mood slightly calmed down.

Then he clicked on Yan Wu’s name and sent him a few messages to coordinate the departure plan.

Outside, the sky gradually darkened…
