Apocalypse: I Built a City of Sin

The tremendous crash and grinding metal made Duan Chengzhi and the women jump.

“Disaster! An armored vehicle smashed through our gate!” the woman monitoring the cameras shouted over the radio.

Duan Chengzhi pulled aside the curtain and looked toward the entrance.

His face turned ashen, and his entire body began trembling.

The women collapsed to the floor.

“What is that? An armored vehicle? A modified armored vehicle?”

“Who are these people?” Duan Chengzhi wailed.

“It’s over. We’re finished!”

The armored door opened, and three people emerged.

The man in front carried a long-handled, flaming modao and wore no expression.

Two women followed closely behind him.

One carried a Type 95 assault rifle and wore full SWAT gear. Her heroic beauty would have made her a famous policewoman before the apocalypse.

The other wore a crimson tracksuit and carried two military daggers. Her skin possessed a strange blue cast, making her resemble a vampire queen from television.

As the three approached the villa, its occupants completely lost their composure.

Duan Chengzhi seized the radio.

“Hello! We choose the first option! We surrender! We’re willing to work for you and obey everything!”

No reply came.

The other side had disconnected.

“It’s over!” Duan Chengzhi slapped himself. “This is all because I tried to be clever!”

“It’s your fault!” his wife blamed him. “Now they’ve broken in. What are we going to do?”

“Teacher, didn’t you say they were afraid of us? Think of something!”

“They have guns and blades. We can’t fight them. We’re dead!”

“We should have accepted the first condition...”

The women blamed Duan Chengzhi as panic filled the room.

The woman watching the cameras ran downstairs.

“They’re inside! That man cut our reinforced security door in half with one strike! What do we do?”

Unhurried footsteps sounded below.

Their almost leisurely rhythm terrified the five survivors more than any roar. It sounded like a nightmare approaching from hell.

“Surrender! We’ll go out, kneel, and ask for leniency!” Duan Chengzhi decided.

He left first and dropped to his knees. The four women copied him, kneeling at the staircase and trembling as they awaited judgment.

From Duan Chengzhi’s earlier tone, Xiao Yi had expected resistance. He had not anticipated finding them kneeling in welcome.

“Boss! We surrender! We’re willing to follow you! We choose the first option!” Duan Chengzhi kowtowed frantically.

“We surrender!” the four women begged.

“I said you had one opportunity. You missed it. Now you can only accept my judgment,” Xiao Yi said coldly. “It’s too late to surrender.”

The five people went pale with terror. Duan Chengzhi’s wife collapsed and began convulsing as though suffering an attack.

“I can spare your lives, but you must complete one task. Do it well, and I’ll allow you to live.”

They accepted eagerly, relieved to hear they still had a chance.

“Dismantle all the solar equipment here, along with the water-supply and purification systems. Transport everything to my shelter and reassemble it. Complete the work, and you won’t die.”

“Dismantling and transporting it will be easy. We have modified trucks outside,” Duan Chengzhi hurriedly answered. “But my female students don’t understand installation. The three male students will need to help. If I do everything alone, it will take much longer, and I may not have the strength.”

The equipment truly presented no difficulty to him. He was a professor of mechanical engineering and an expert in water and electrical systems. His male students were also specialists.

“That’s fine. Dismantle it and transport it. Your three male students will assist with installation.”

Xiao Yi nodded in satisfaction.

He had worried that they could not handle the task. Now the compound’s solar, water-supply, and purification systems could be moved immediately.

The three Unsullied could install a complete set in the Dark Castle.

Soon Xiao Yi and his women would live with running water and electricity.

“Afterward, I won’t need to wash so stingily with bottled water.”

Having Ling Xueya fill her mouth with mineral water to clean him after every session felt slightly unfair now that she was his completely loyal pet.

At minimum, he could rinse himself first.

“Get to work.” Xiao Yi waved. “Keke, Ruoqing, watch them. Kill anyone who misbehaves.”

Then he pointed to the prettiest of the women.

“You. Come watch television with me.”

He had noticed many entertaining items inside their rooms, including a collection of limited-edition Japanese porn.

Combined with the enormous display, it offered an excellent opportunity to study and revisit the passionate days when he had watched such films at university.

Back then, only his own hand had accompanied him.

Now many people could watch with him.

“One more thing. Dismantle the water-supply and purification equipment first, then the power system.”

“After everything else is packed, bring the display, computers, and all these discs as well.”

Those “action movies” contained many techniques worth learning. Many of his women were still virgins with poor practical skills.

Organizing specialized training for them seemed necessary.

After giving the order, Xiao Yi pulled the young woman into the room.
