Apocalypse: I Built a City of Sin

“Hmph. People with money and power have it so fucking good. Even in the apocalypse they still get the natural advantage!” Xiao Yi swore, unhappy, then asked again, “I’ve heard a few rumors about the Crown Prince Gang. They say it’s all second-generation heirs who use their fathers’ power to do evil all over Jiangcheng and act invincible. Before the apocalypse it was a gang not many people in Jiangcheng could afford to provoke. You’re with the Crown Prince Gang?”

“Uh… I’m the boss of the Crown Prince Gang…” Ma Chenbin could not help shivering. From Xiao Yi’s tone he could hear that Xiao Yi’s impression of the Crown Prince Gang was not good.

“Yo! Wouldn’t have guessed! You’re the boss of the Crown Prince Gang? A black-society boss? Pretty cocky!” Xiao Yi slapped Ma Chenbin’s face hard twice. “The feeling of slapping the Crown Prince Gang’s boss is so fucking good!”

Thinking of the Crown Prince Gang’s invincible name in Jiangcheng before, Xiao Yi felt a rush of sour satisfaction when he slapped Ma Chenbin.

The rumor at school was that when the Crown Prince Gang’s boss studied at Jiangcheng University, the whole school was his territory. Not a single boy was unafraid of this ruffian second-generation heir! And this piece of work had even slapped the face of their Jiangcheng University president.

The slaps Xiao Yi was giving Ma Chenbin now naturally had a faint sense of achievement in them.

“Who exactly is in Lily New City? What other weapons are there?” Xiao Yi went on asking.

“Most of the people left inside are the old residents. These people used to be rich merchants and high officials. They all have some bodyguards under them. Our Crown Prince Gang has the biggest force inside. Add that our Crown Prince Gang has a lot of guns and ammo, so before they all followed my and my dad’s arrangements. But that was only unified dispatch on security and when going out to search for food. In other situations everyone did their own thing.”

Ma Chenbin said it, remembering. “When we came out we brought most of the weapons with us. The few Crown Prince Gang people left inside shouldn’t have many guns now. But I don’t know whether the others still have firearms.”

It looked like this pack of people was not a single iron plate either. It was only an alliance that moved together sometimes.

That made them much easier to deal with.

“How did you find my city?” Xiao Yi asked another question he had always been quite curious about.

By reason, in an apocalypse crawling with zombies, these people living in Lily New City had no need at all to run over to Jiangcheng University.

Ma Chenbin twisted his body. His face was a little distorted from the constant torment in his mind. “We didn’t know you existed before. My sister and the one you shot dead were only under orders to catch mutants. They wanted to take them back for Doctor Zhu and the others to research an antidote against the zombie virus. Finding you was only a coincidence.”

“Mutants?!!!” Xiao Yi jerked in shock. He frowned, a little surprised, and asked, “What are mutants?”

Hearing the word mutant, Xiao Yi was a little surprised.

Even a little wary.

If other people could also have a powerful physique and the ability to evolve like him, that would absolutely be a huge threat to him!

“They’re people who can still keep their original form after being infected by the zombie virus. We caught one. After research we found that besides the skin going a little blue-green and the pupil color changing some, this kind of mutant’s strength is also a lot greater than a normal person’s.”

“And ordinary zombies will not actively attack this kind of person!” When he said this, Ma Chenbin glanced at Xiao Yi in fear.

The picture of the zombies backing away when they saw Xiao Yi was still fresh in his memory. Right now he strongly suspected Xiao Yi was a super-mutant powerful to the point of being perverted!

“One more thing. Although that mutant still kept human reason, they seemed to have lost a lot of memory, and their intelligence also seemed a little defective.”

Hearing this, Xiao Yi let out a slight breath.

At least for now, the newly appeared mutants were not some powerful existence.

They were even a little dull and cute.

“You were looking for mutants and you found your way here?” Xiao Yi asked on, strange.

“Because our people saw a female mutant. This mutant was a little different from the one we caught. This female mutant seemed to have fused with cat genes. Not only did she have a cat’s ears and a cat’s tail, she was also agile like a cat.”

A cat-girl?

Xiao Yi felt a little ashamed of himself.

A human form, furred ears and a tail, agile like a cat…

Wasn’t this exactly a cat-girl from anime!

Or you could also call her a catwoman?

A Hollywood-style Catwoman?

Something dirty moved in Xiao Yi’s chest. “I wonder if this cat-girl is pretty…”

Ma Chenbin went on, remembering. “When we saw her, she was wandering around looking for food. She seemed very aimless.”

“Originally we wanted to lure her and catch her. But this cat-ear mutant was very wary. We never got a chance to move.”

“Later we really had no other way, so we wanted to surround her and take her by force. But this cat-ear mutant was extremely agile, and her speed was extremely fast, just like a cat. We simply could not catch her. We followed the direction she fled, chased all the way here, and then this cat-ear mutant vanished.”

“So I sent my sister to take people and patrol this area, hoping we could find a chance to catch this mutant and take her back.”

Xiao Yi nodded. It looked like these mutants were not all the same either. There were also mutants who had fused with other animal genes.

But overall, the mutants right now were still at a very low-tier stage.

And their numbers were very small.
