Apocalypse: I Built a City of Sin

After jumping down from the wall, Xiao Yi took the captured weapons and ammunition from the Spatial Pouch.

Tang Ningning’s group had also finished removing the SWAT equipment. There was enough to arm roughly ten people.

Xiao Yi activated Betrayer’s Nightmare and examined his servants’ Loyalty.

Li Wanning, Tang Ningning, Shen Tingting, Tang Jingyan, and Lin Mancha—the first women he had brought into the City of Sin—had all been completely subjugated. Their Loyalty had reached 100%.

Si Ruoqing and the women rescued later had also improved. Si Ruoqing remained at 96%, while most of the others had reached 98% or 99%.

The young girl and the adult twin sisters had been subjugated fastest and were already at 100%.

Professor Lu Yurou’s Loyalty had climbed to 88%, a relatively rapid increase.

It appeared that the stronger a woman’s psychological resilience, the longer subjugation required—unless she completely lowered her defenses toward him.

“Wanning, Ningning, all of you come here and put on this equipment!” Xiao Yi beckoned. “Starting today, I’ll train you to kill zombies.”

Handling everything personally would exhaust him. Building his own force was essential.

He intended to use the completely subjugated women to form a well-equipped women’s special-operations team.

The ideal instructor was Si Ruoqing, a former police officer who had killed many zombies and possessed extensive combat experience.

“Familiarize yourselves with the equipment first. Don’t use the guns carelessly.”

Once the five women had put everything on with curious excitement, Xiao Yi approached Si Ruoqing.

Her Loyalty had not reached 100%, so he still could not fully trust her.

“Officer Si, come into my castle.”

His tone was an order.

Si Ruoqing froze, then shuddered as her face turned crimson.

“Has the fate I’ve been waiting for finally arrived?”

She bit her lip and gripped her sleeve. When Xiao Yi disappeared through the castle doors, she finally gathered her courage and followed.

Xiao Yi knew why the final stage of her subjugation remained incomplete.

Today, he would personally break down her last defense and make her completely his woman.

One hundred percent subjugated.

Xiao Yi had always believed that the best way to open a woman’s heart was to open her body.

It was that simple.

...

When they emerged from the castle, Si Ruoqing’s Loyalty had indeed reached 100%.

Xiao Yi was extremely satisfied with his performance.

The pride once remaining in Si Ruoqing’s gaze had disappeared, replaced by worship and tenderness.

“Ruoqing, I have a task for you. I constructed an Outer City connected to the women’s dormitory. It will house the city’s ordinary servants.”

“But zombies still need to be cleared from inside.”

“Take Li Wanning and the others there for combat practice.”

“In the future, your team will protect the City of Sin and help manage its servants.”

Xiao Yi handed her the weapons and equipment and carefully explained the mission.

Several of Si Ruoqing’s former teammates had reached 98% Loyalty, so he added them to the women’s special-operations team as well.

They received protective equipment, clubs, and bayonets, but no firearms. Their role was to protect Si Ruoqing and the shooters in close combat.

After arranging everything, Xiao Yi questioned the Lily New City survivors for more information, then drove the Slaughterer Armored Vehicle back to the villa district.

Following the lawyer’s directions, he first visited Villa 125.

Its doors were closed, and steel or wooden boards covered every window. All entrances except the front had been sealed.

Two modified BMW X6s stood outside.

Xiao Yi parked beyond the villa wall and vaulted into the grounds.

According to the survivors, the doctors possessed no firearms and posed no threat. Even so, he remained cautious.

He listened at the security door.

Silence.

The villa seemed empty.

Xiao Yi cut through the door with the Blade of Sin and gently pushed it open. The interior was dark and sinister.

“Who’s there?”

Two men in white coats rushed out carrying axes. Their voices were tense, and their hands trembled.

“You must know that zombies have overrun Lily New City,” Xiao Yi said calmly. “Everyone in the other villas is either dead or has gone to my shelter.”

“Other survivors told me about you. My shelter needs doctors, so I came specifically to find you.”

An inner door slowly opened. A balding older man and two female doctors emerged.

The older man wore reading glasses and looked scholarly. The women behind him appeared refined and almost naïve about the world.

“Hello. I’m the director of Jiangcheng First Hospital and an academician at the medical university. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

He looked between fifty and sixty, though his well-maintained skin gave him a distinguished appearance.

When he extended a hand, Xiao Yi merely glanced at it.

“You understand the situation outside. The few of you have no chance of surviving alone.”

“I’ll allow you to join my shelter, but you must obey me absolutely.”

“Obey you? Why?” one young male doctor demanded proudly, still holding his axe. “We’re doctors. Only we can save humanity. You should cooperate with us!”

“Our research proves the zombie virus can be cured,” the middle-aged doctor declared. “If you and everyone in your shelter support us and give us enough time, we’ll develop a medicine that both prevents infection and cures people who have become zombies!”

“Think about it, young man!” the balding director said passionately, spreading his arms. “Once we create the cure, survivors will no longer fear infection, and we can save those who have already become zombies!”

“We will become the saviors!”

“We will save all humanity!”

“History will remember our names forever!”

They had used the same speech to persuade Lily New City’s factions.

They considered their work supremely noble. Everyone and everything should yield to their needs, follow their commands, and contribute to saving humanity.

Even though their research had produced nothing.
