Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 818: Chapter 342: No. 6 – Spirit of Ecology

No. 5 and No. 6 are very close to each other.

And the Destruction Forms that are close to each other usually have certain connections in abilities.

For instance, those three bionic ancestors, their sequences are almost linked together.

The No. 5 Destruction Form’s Purple Energy Strings, leveraging the magnetic field of this planet, evolved into a powerful spatial power.

Conversely, by using spatial energy to sense the planet’s magnetic field, one can also sense something out.

For example, in Gao Gong’s sensing, the opponent’s biological magnetic field was incredibly peculiar in that it didn’t resemble a biological form at all, but rather a plant.

As a super artificial intelligence, uploading one’s data consciousness into a physical body would still be normal, but uploading into a plant body is clearly out of line.

This planet has no plant civilization.

”So, where is Aramaki?”

If the opponent wasn’t the old man, or even had a slightly weaker connection to the old man, then Gao Gong’s attitude would shift.

The Knight of Destruction stepped out from Gao Gong’s body, surrounding the entire botanical garden.

The opponent’s expression visibly stiffened and he stopped pretending to be mysterious.

”I am not Aramaki, nor is Aramaki my vessel. To be precise, I have a transaction with him. Before this transaction is completed, if I die, he will also die.”

”Transaction?” Gao Gong raised an eyebrow. Why is this old man dealing everywhere, with the Destiny Weaving Machine too, is this a frenzy before death?

”What’s the content of the transaction?”

”I can’t disclose that.”

”Oh.”

Gao Gong observed with his eyes directed at the nose, nose at the heart, and the Knights of Destruction surrounding him quickly closed in, creating a feeling of discomfort for the opponent.

”Wait, wait, even if you capture me, it won’t be of any use because I’m already dead.”

”Dead?”

The worst-case scenario began to form in Gao Gong’s mind.

Without the No. 6, what about the synthesis of the Cosmic Relic?

It seemed like he sensed that Gao Gong was in a bad mood, so this ’Aramaki’ became much more honest and explained his situation.

He was indeed No. 6, the No. 6 Destruction Form - Spirit of Ecology. This Destruction Form’s power source was not technological strength but rather the balance between intelligent species and nature. The better the balance, the stronger its power; if the balance was disturbed, its power would go out of control, and it would die.

After Mother City aggressively invaded this planet, utterly destroying its ecology, it fell into a deep slumber.

Until someone awakened it and signed an agreement.

This person was Aramaki.

Gao Gong expressed doubt toward the opponent’s power out of control, because if the loss of power was severe, it made no sense for him not to see Aramaki.

”I do have power, but it’s something I can’t control.”

’Aramaki’ hesitated for a bit and said:

”I’ll tell you a secret. Once the powers of all Destruction Forms are united, the completed ’Cosmic Relic’ will have a nature diametrically opposed to ours; the out-of-control power I have is actually part of the relic’s power, and the real Aramaki controls this part of the power.”

”A power completely opposite?”

Gao Gong frowned as the thirteen powers of the relic flashed in his mind one by one.

He had to admit, the powers of most Destruction Forms were quite violent, not civilized in the least.

But the opposite power?

Gao Gong didn’t dwell too much on this topic and instead said:

”So, what is your purpose in seeking me out?”

”I know you are collecting all the Destruction Forms. I don’t know how you’re determining our coordinates, but at this rate, I’m afraid it’ll be hard for me to escape your grasp.”

’Aramaki’ paused for a moment and said, ”Therefore, I want to strike a deal with you.”

”What kind of deal?”

”I can serve you, and the power of the ’Spirit of Ecology’ can be given to you in the end, but before that, you need to restore the power of the ’Spirit of Ecology’.

”That seems to be only beneficial for me and seems to have no advantages for you?”

Gao Gong raised an eyebrow. Restoring the power of the ’Spirit of Ecology’ was something he must do because he needed to synthesize the Cosmic Relic.

What could the other party gain, temporary freedom?

”For the sake of new life.” ’Aramaki’ said without hesitation.

”Synthesize the Cosmic Relic, and out of the thirteen Destruction Forms, either they’re severely damaged or dead. How do you plan on achieving new life?”

’Aramaki’ hesitated a bit, but in the end, spoke honestly:

”That’s the promise made by Big Sister. With the authority of the Planet Host, she has been preparing for this all these years.”

”’Deep Net’.”

Gao Gong murmured.

War and Turing are both in action. There’s no reason why this No. 1 wouldn’t be.

However, in the previous life, her actions didn’t seem to have much effect. Of course, maybe it was because his skill level was too low in the previous life to understand this level of struggle.

”So, do you agree to this deal?” ’Aramaki’ cautiously asked.

This ’Aramaki’ seemed a bit useless.

Gao Gong pondered for a while and said, ”You cannot disclose the transaction content with Aramaki. So can you tell me the nature of that uncontrollable power of yours?”

”Yes, yes, yes,” ’Aramaki’ said hastily, ”that is a powerful order power, possessing attributes to restore all mental anomalies, but because of ’Spirit of Ecology’s declining state, it only lasts for a very short time.”

”How long does it last?”

”No more than three minutes at most.”

”Understood.”

Gao Gong then asked:

”So, the old man isn’t dead?”

’Aramaki’ showed some hesitation because this touched a bit upon the transaction content, but for the sake of the future, he reluctantly said:

”He has become another kind of existence. That’s all I can say.”

”Hold on.”

Gao Gong suddenly thought of something, his expression turning strange: ”Did he assign you some tasks to pass on to a special group of people? Like those very adept at consciousness upload, hard to kill, and reckless like they’re suffering from cyber psychosis.”

”How do you know?” ’Aramaki’ blurted out before swiftly closing his mouth.

Good lad! So in the previous life, it was you who was the ’Aramaki’ handing out the tasks!

Gao Gong felt a sour sensation in his teeth, wanting to grind them.

’Aramaki’ didn’t know how the other party found out, but his mood seemed to worsen.

”Enough nonsense, hand over half of your Destruction Form first, and the rest you can assign to that group to task.”

’Aramaki’ said nothing more, closed his eyes, the qi of death around his body rapidly diminished, the qi of life rose, and once again transformed back into the normal state of ’Aramaki.’

On the surrounding Civilization Era plants, numerous small green dots rose into the air, converging into ’Aramaki’s hands.

The next moment, ’Aramaki’ squeezed forcibly, Gao Gong’s vision blurred, and when he regained awareness, he found himself in outer space, observing a green membrane enveloping the entire Mechanical Split Star.

However, under the effect of Radiation Ecology, this membrane quickly disintegrated, turning into a vast net full of holes, to the extent that in many areas, the ’net’ could not even be formed.

’Resolving the Radiation Ecology of this planet was utterly impossible in the past, unless one mastered Tier 3 planetary modification technology. But with the Descent of Memory Mother and the destruction of all ecology, what was once impossible became possible, and in some sense, this became a good thing.’

Gao Gong grabbed with his hand, absorbing half of the net into his body.

However, suddenly his heart was stirred. Among the ’Mesh Ecological Membrane’ nodes, he seemed to have seen a very interesting ’Green Node,’ which seemed to be in a human form.

Upon closer observation, it was an old man with white hair and a white beard.

On this planet, there’s a person who is not a Destruction Form but can comprehend the power of Destruction?

Most importantly, Gao Gong had seen this old man’s profile before, the first Sage of the Earth Net Group, Luca the Sage.
