Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 816: Chapter 340: Containment (Part 1)

Ymir glared at Gao Gong with hatred.

When it comes to tracking, Destructive Intelligence doesn’t even come close to Purple Energy Strings.

So during this period, she had been acting with extreme caution, fearing that her IP would be locked.

However, in the small window created by the Box, all the opponent’s words and actions were within Gao Gong’s view.

Gao seemed like a pervert who installed surveillance cameras, constantly peeping at the opponent.

”Synthesize it,”

Gao Gong directly said.

”In your dreams!!”

A big hole suddenly appeared under Ymir’s feet, and she fell into it, then the hole closed up simultaneously.

As for Gao Gong, he felt an intense heat.

When he looked out of the window, the subway had somehow entered space, heading directly toward the sun of the entire Stellar System.

The terrifying heat had already set the surface of the subway on fire with blazing flames.

”It’s truly dangerous, how on earth did she do it?” Gao Gong muttered to himself.

He could feel that this heat was no illusion.

”Her Artificial Intelligence, its control range is not limited to the Mechanical Split Star like yours is.”

Gao Gong looked up to see a mysterious girl named ’Deep Net,’ swinging her little feet and smiling mischievously at him.

”Oh, that makes sense, now I understand,” Gao Gong realized.

”Take it easy on your brothers and sisters, otherwise, as the big sister, I would be heartbroken.”

Gao Gong felt a twinge in his heart, just as he was about to say something, the subway seat opposite him was already empty.

”Deep Net, Deep Net.”

Gao Gong murmured to himself, folded the newspaper in his hand, and the photo of ’Professor Yule’ on the emblem was folded up. He walked to the door, flicked his fingers, and the subway door was violently flung open.

He jumped off just before the subway crashed into the sun.

...

In a certain gang area, a Prosthetic Doctor was modifying the brain-machine interface of a corporate employee.

As the Electronic Brain Plan rolled out, various organizations, especially super corporations, found it easier to manage their employees.

There was no need for subconscious modification or employee handbook studies, just adjusting some electronic brain parameters could turn any employee into a model worker, completely blocking all external perception and focusing entirely on the job.

There are measures above, and there are policies below.

As a result, the underground world’s business became booming again.

The Prosthetic Doctor was adjusting the final parameters, pressing a metal button behind the other person’s ear, immediately a foldable Virtual Helmet unfolded, covering his head.

More strangely, the Virtual Helmet was ’liquid,’ injected from the dermis layer, so when opened, except for a slight bulge at the temples, there was no abnormality.

”Doctor Si, are you sure this can pass the checks from above?”

”Rest assured, I’ve installed no less than eighty liquid Virtual Helmets. You see, I didn’t cut off your brain-machine; its signal has always been on, but the specific work is now replaced by the Virtual Helmet. You can take advantage of your off-time to have a drink or enjoy yourself in the red-light district, instead of automatically switching into overtime mode as soon as you clock out.”

”Off-work!”

The corporate employee immediately showed an excited expression, having not heard this term for many days.

Suddenly, the electronic light flickered twice in the eyes of this robotic Prosthetic Doctor, who directly put down the surgical arm and walked out.

”Doctor, Dr. Si, you haven’t finished the surgery yet, Doctor? Doctor!”

Dr. Si, or rather, Ymir who had been downloaded back from the network layer, looked vigilantly around her. On the bustling street, almost every person had a brain-machine socket at the back of their heads.

To her, each socket looked like a black eyeball, silently watching the world.

As a contractor for the Electronic Brain Plan and having a close relationship with the other contractor Holy Brain Group, the other party was perfectly capable of global surveillance.

So to avoid their pursuit, she needed to find a person without a brain-machine interface or a Virtual Helmet, with underground Prosthetic Doctors being the most suitable.

Ignoring the shouts from behind, Ymir boarded an unmanned bus. With a thought, this bus violated the pre-set route and headed outside the city.

Number 8, Destructive Intelligence Ymir, possessed strong control over all Artificial Intelligences.

The people on the bus didn’t notice the change in route, those dozing off continued to doze, and those reading newspapers kept reading.

Reading a newspaper!

In this era, how many people choose such an ancient way of reading?!

Ymir suddenly stood up, and at the same time, five or six newspaper-reading guys also stood up.

These people slowly put away the newspapers, exuding the same Destructive Energy, their physiques gradually enlarging to nearly three meters, a spear made of Destructive Energy forming in their hands.

”You all! Knights of Destruction!!”

Ymir, having experienced the ’Destruction Form Battle’ at Knight’s High Ground, naturally recognized these weapons designed to target Destruction Forms. If not for Gao misleading that Number 13, this battle might still be ongoing.

A Knight of Destruction’s spear shot out like a viper, directly aimed at the opponent.

Ymir barely dodged, not every Destruction Form was skilled in combat.

However, that spear instantly turned from a thrust to a slam, hitting her chest and smashing her back into the seatback.

Ymir felt a sudden tightness in his chest, even breathing became much more difficult.

Meanwhile, the driverless bus that was heading out of town suddenly turned 90 degrees, resuming its original route.

Name: Knight of Destruction

Race: Relic Race

Level: 55+

Personal Attributes: None

Destructive Energy: 1000000+

Module: Artificial Intelligence Suppression

Note: The fate of a Warrior of Destruction is to achieve complete destruction.

This is the new Knight of Destruction attribute panel.

It’s also the strongest aspect of the Knight of Destruction; it can not only destroy the abilities of Destruction Forms but also attack the essence of Destruction Forms.

On top of a building, Gao Yuanyuan looked at the cars below, then glanced at Gao Gong beside her, curiously asking, ”Brother, why are you smoking all over?”

”Just a minor issue, don’t worry about it.”

Gao Gong waved his hand, indicating it was nothing serious, just being burnt by stellar parameters, indirectly affecting his body’s metabolism.

In their view, more and more Knights of Destruction appeared, surrounding the driverless bus from all directions, some holding the front, some grabbing the rear, and others even directly lifting off the roof and entering inside.

Approximately two hundred Knights of Destruction appeared.

”Once we catch this Ymir, brother will be able to create more Knights of Destruction, right?” Gao Yuanyuan asked.

”Yes, the number of Knights of Destruction that can be created is limited by the number of Destruction Forms.”

One Destruction Form can create up to one hundred Knights of Destruction.

With six Destruction Forms, Gao Gong’s limit of Knights of Destruction is 600.

And against a Destruction Form that is not good at combat, 200 are enough.

”Brother, it seems the opponent is struggling desperately.”

Gao Yuanyuan suddenly frowned, able to feel a large flow of data summoned by the opponent, streets disappeared and replaced by space corridors, buildings vanished and replaced by Spark Pods, the sky gone and replaced by outer space obscured by the Asteroid Belt.

”It—”

”The birth of each Destruction Form is different; some are rules, some are pure Energy Bodies, some need technological advancements to a certain point to be complete, and others are born to guide the next technological era.”

”Brother, are you talking about the era of Artificial Intelligence?”

”Yes, among the three Civilizations, there are at least five or more Professional Knowledge Chains related to Artificial Intelligence, and Ymir’s fate, or goal, is to guide civilization towards the era of Artificial Intelligence.”

Gao Gong paused, then continued:

”If she truly achieves this, then this Planet Civilization might use it as a stepping stone to reach Level 3 Civilization.”

”Such a pity,” Gao Yuanyuan lamented.

”Indeed, such a pity.”

As expected, the summoned ’Cybertron’ had not yet formed when a large number of electronic snowflakes emerged, the summoned data flow was rewound back by another force.

This force is called the ’Rewind System.’

And the ’Mechanical Main Brain’ that had just drilled out from the ground was also kicked back by Gao Gong.

Moments later, four Knights of Destruction carried over an Artificial Intelligence girl, her limbs pinned down by spears, unable to move, yet Ymir’s resentful gaze remained fixated on Gao Gong.

”You should have headed straight for Cybertron when breaking up with Bionic A; that’s a pure Mechanical Satellite, and the power you’d have there is nothing compared to now,” Gao Gong laughed, ”pity you’re still thinking of guiding the next Artificial Intelligence era, or perhaps you’re just being hopeful, thinking we wouldn’t find you, right.”

”You’re hindering the progress of this civilization!”

”There are more than one way a civilization can advance.”

Gao Gong’s hand pressed on the girl’s little head, the power of the ’Box’ activated, quickly absorbing Ymir into Gao Gong’s body.

”Remember to treat your brothers and sisters well.”

The voice of ’Deep Net’ rang out once more.

Gao Gong turned his head but did not see the figure of ’Deep Net.’

’Whose side is this Deep Net really on?’

Gao Gong muttered internally and then spoke to himself.

”Sister Rose should be finishing up too; she did say she doesn’t need Knights of Destruction, so things on her side shouldn’t be as much trouble as mine.”

...

In drizzly weather, Black Rose, with an umbrella, arrived before a civilization era cemetery.

Outside the cemetery, shadows were flickering.

Sitting on four Super Corporations, Black Rose’s number of Super Strong underlings exceeded even Du Gao Technology.

However, Black Rose declined some Level 60 Super Bionics for protection and pushed open the cemetery gates alone, with only an ordinary-looking lady following behind.

The cemetery was quiet, almost devoid of people, with only a Prometheus standing dazedly before a tombstone, silent.
