Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 760: Chapter 284: Mechanical Serpent Constellation - Satellite B

This is a micro simulation black hole.

Its actual volume is probably only one centimeter. The massive black sphere just displayed is merely a ’black hole anomaly’ produced by the simulation.

Its existence time is likely only a microsecond, but its impact on the outside world is extremely exaggerated.

After the disappearance of the black hole, a massive water bulge appeared on the surface of the sea, so vast that its edges were out of sight. The water bulge was crystal clear and rapidly rising, as if being gently lifted by an invisible giant hand. The gravitational system of the entire planet seemed to lose its effect under its shockwaves, obscuring distant islands and even further continents, turning the world before Gao Gong’s eyes into one of water.

A towering mountain of seawater stood between heaven and earth, its peak seemingly just a thumb’s width from the radiation layer.

[Task complete, experience +50 million, received three random enemy technology blueprints]

”Such a big mountain!”

An electric wave jellyfish, without anyone noticing, swam to Gao Gong’s feet, its transparent eyeballs on the tentacles glaring, accompanied by the exclamatory voice of ’Little Woman’.

’Little Woman’ nervously said, ”That old thing isn’t still alive, is it?”

”If it’s not dead, then the Star-Destroying Weapon isn’t worthy of being called a Star-Destroying Weapon. By the way, indeed, some life forms can survive the singularity at the core of a black hole, such as multidimensional life, cosmic bubble life, and carbon-based life that has digested primitive material.”

”Is that old thing one of them?” ’Little Woman’ foolishly asked.

Gao Gong was momentarily speechless.

Don’t joke around, these life forms are the top existences in the universe. Even the Memory Mother can’t compare to them. To them, ’Xie Egui’ is not even an ant.

He opened the interface and drew out three technology blueprints.

[You obtained a Level 15 Mechanical Blueprint [Heavy Orbital Armed Vehicle System - Fortress Type One]]

[You obtained a Level 11 Mechanical Blueprint [Vehicle Spaceship]]

[You obtained a Level 11 Mechanical Blueprint [Interstellar Radiation Coating]]

”Tsk.”

It’s a pity I didn’t get to draw that ’Subspace Tower.’ If I had, I would’ve hit the jackpot.

Of course, Gao Gong knew he was daydreaming. The blueprint for an entire space fortress probably numbers in the tens of thousands. Drawing these three types is already lucky.

The Heavy Orbital Armed Vehicle System - Fortress Type One is that previous mechanical supply station larger than a space station, specifically used to repair interstellar bases.

In fact, Gao Gong also has a similar blueprint—

Level 14 Large Blueprint [Light Orbital Armed Vehicle System - Type One Air Vehicle]

The difference between the two lies in that the former serves the ’Anti-Hulk Armor,’ while the latter serves the ’Death Star.’

The former, no matter how large, is individual equipment, but the latter is self-explanatory—an interstellar war-grade war machine.

However, although Du Gao Technology’s weapon production has always been impressive, they have never built this type of vehicle system.

The reason is simple—this thing is extremely expensive, more costly than an advanced satellite.

Even more frustrating is that it can only serve one model of mecha, limiting its potential clients.

It’s a hassle to send the repair module up into space and drop it back down again. It would be better to just build a few more mechas.

Faction armament always prioritizes compatibility.

However, with the ’launch’ of A-level Pioneer Mecha and S-level Biomechanical Armor, the corporation is preparing to deploy two ’Type One Air Vehicles.’

A-level and S-level mecha are already deserving of the logistical support manufactured by these Level 14 blueprints.

It can be assured that this high-configuration mechanical blueprint meant for a Level 3 civilization will sit in cold storage for quite some time until some large-scale mechanical architecture, like an ’Interstellar Fortress,’ can be mass-produced.

As for the other two below, [Vehicle Spaceship] and [Interstellar Radiation Coating], they don’t come off as particularly ’advanced.’

The former is those thousands of ’fireballs’ that Gao Gong ignited with one move, while the latter is a coating necessary for interstellar spaceships when traversing the universe, especially in complex environments with variable cosmic radiation like certain nebula layers or around pulsars. Without it, the spaceship might survive, but the people inside might not.

However, regardless of how mundane they appear, both are still considered ’ordinary equipment’ of the interstellar level, with the former being a Level 50 space mechanical species and the latter one of the three components necessary for a spaceship’s cosmic voyage.

Two other components of the three are the spaceship’s self-sustaining ecology and the star system-level distress system.

”All of these are pieces of equipment that won’t be needed in the short term. Hand them over to Director Du to handle.”

Gao Gong shook his head. He clearly couldn’t manage it himself, but perhaps Director Du’s ’Industrial Shipgirl System’ might be able to lower the equipment threshold.

He took one last look at the gigantic mountain of water before him. Perhaps it would be a few decades before the black hole’s effects gradually dissipate and the ’sea water’ falls back down. In a sense, this can be considered a ’planetary marvel.’

Gao Gong took a step forward; with a flash of purple light, he returned to the ’Great Curved Saber.’

”I’m leaving,” Gao Gong straightforwardly stated.

”What can be confirmed is that Xie Egui is gone, and the Xie Family will certainly come looking for trouble, as will the Eternal Life Conglomerate. The strength of these old powers is not just limited to the battlefield; but once I officially become the Minister of the Shell Mobile Division, for them to seek trouble with me, they will have to weigh whether they can withstand a ’Star-Destroying Level Weapon’ and confront that super department.”

”Once I leave, you will truly be safe.”

Gao Gong glanced again in the direction of the cockpit of the Great Curved Saber, where thousands of ’Imperial Guard’ were in the formation stage.

”It’s a pity, we won’t wait for these old fellows to wake up, but with them here, your safety shouldn’t be an issue.”

Du Zhaodi opened her mouth, but seeing Gao Gong’s serious expression, she ultimately said nothing.

...

Robert Star System - Kote Star Zone

A small satellite, privately purchased, three Level 2 Celestial Systems away from the Mechanical Split Star.

This satellite has undergone preliminary mechanical transformation. Whether on its solid planetary surface or in the fluid layer encasing the star core, millions of robots are at work.

Once the final and most challenging ’star core’ transformation is completed, it will become a ’planet-level weapon’, albeit the lowest grade of planet-level weapon — the star core energy of a satellite makes it difficult to drive it for star system navigation; the planet’s surface is also too small to bear enough planetary engines. It is merely a fixed ’planetary base’.

But here, ’lower level’ is relative to Ascension Civilizations; furthermore, its intended purpose is not as a ’wandering planet’.

This Mechanical Serpent Constellation-B satellite is the Xie Family’s ancestral hall.

No one casually hauls a bunch of urns across interstellar systems to fight with someone.

The descendants of the Xie Family haven’t evolved to that extent yet.

And closer to the ’star core’, within the inner hall of the industrial shrine, a giant mechanical statue began to tremble and then start transforming, seemingly trying to revert to its previous form or to reshape itself anew.

But it was evident that it failed, and the mechanical statue not only fell from the altar, shattering mechanical parts all over the ground, but also created holes in several large coffins.

”Xie Egui is dead, I mean the kind of ’death’ where not even the body backup exists.”

”No backup, no generation; move it out, the ancestral spiritual tablet needs a new figure.”

”Who to replace? The older generation of servers has plenty.”

From the three coffins that the ’statue’ broke into, the roaring of giant engines and the assembly of mechanical parts sounded simultaneously, while the internal whimpers were reminiscent of a ’zombie revival’.

The ’spiritual tablets’ above the statue likewise rustled.

”Since three old mechanical zombies have filed a petition, whoever can avenge Xie Egui will become the next ’ancestor’.

”Be careful, the enemy likely used a ’star-destroying level weapon,’ so unless you can achieve a one-hit kill, don’t strike rashly; after all, you old Xie zombies lack any living backup.”

”But as deceased mechanical bodies, you possess the more dangerous power of the Mechanical Clan.”

...

The same Kote Star Zone

To be precise, it is the Mechanical Serpent Constellation, orbit B satellite — a renowned interstellar free zone, or rather, one of the largest underground trading markets in the Robert Star System.

The headquarters of the Eternal Life Conglomerate is located within.

It is a continent-level structure, and on the continental plate of 50 million square kilometers, a building, no, a giant tower rises from the ground, with its foundation covering the whole continent. It has a million floors, never mind piercing through the atmosphere; even with a space telescope from a light-year away, as long as you can see this sphere, you can observe the ’needle’ sticking out of it.

This architecture matches the benchmark of the ’Giant Corporation Civilization’ and is the epitome of planet-level illegal construction.

And on the upper levels of the million-story building, roughly around the 990,000th floor

This building floor is no longer open to the public.

Not even employees or group executives can enter.

The only ones who can enter are the Candidates for Immortality of the Eternal Financial Group.

And at that moment, the entire floor suddenly dimmed, darkness spread darkness, creating an illusion of a simulated black hole, seemingly ’fake’, yet in some dimension, not ’fake’.

Amidst the darkness, a figure struggled to crawl out.

With each step forward, a portion of the space fortress disintegrated, leaving behind only the ’body’ of Xie Egui, a rough, rusted mechanical body barely in a human shape except for the head. The pleading radiance in ’Xie Egui’s’ eyes flickered, and the twisted, spiral-ridged fingers flicked several times, finally shattering with a ’snap’.

No one came to rescue it.

The voice of artificial intelligence echoed mercilessly.

’Dimensional information replication failed, Eternal Financial Group’s third Candidate for Immortality is dead.’

’Eternal gene extraction in progress, extraction successful.’

The next moment, one or two points of light suddenly leaped out of the black hole, landing in the floor.

And the floor returned to its original state, with only two points of golden light suspended in place.

’Initializing the group’s high-level appointment process, reselecting the ’Candidate for Immortality.’

’With the serpent coiling the ring, we shall eventually coexist with the universe.’
