Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Oil City.

The rain kept pouring.

The damp weather made people feel drowsy.

The bored Ma Sailong sat under the eaves, watching the torrential rain outside. In the sound of rain, the zombies’ roars outside were like accompaniments, forming a kind of song.

”Old Ma, come play cards.” Someone inside called out to him.

Old Ma patted his butt, quickly got up, and walked inside to sit at the card table.

Looking at the person getting up to leave, he said, ”Xiao Hao, where are you going?”

”It’s my turn to be on duty, going to clean out the drainage.” With that, Xiao Hao put on a raincoat and dashed outside into the rain.

In Oil City, there are over a hundred cooperative personnel, all originally from the Original Oil City with Zhong Chuchu. However, later on, they didn’t choose to go to the Big Camphor Tree Base and instead stayed here.

Many of them were also oil workers. The extraction and refinement of oil required workers, so they were kept here.

Now, they’re still cooperative personnel, but their daily oil extraction is also counted towards point contribution. The accumulation is slower, but it maintains stability.

They take orders from the Outer City personnel stationed here, like Ju Tianrui, Xiao Jun, and others.

Moreover, their points are calculated individually, not by group.

Currently, Ma Sailong, due to his significant contributions in repairing oil wells, has reached a critical point in his point accumulation. He just needs to report for assessment to become Extra Staff.

Besides him, there are several other excellent workers whose accumulated points are not very far from becoming Extra Staff either.

Ma Sailong exhaled a breath of white air, rubbed his hands against the cold, drawing a card and saying, ”I wonder how Zhong Chuchu and the others are doing now...”

Old Song, wrapped in a blanket and curled up, spoke:

”They must be more comfortable than us here, since that’s the headquarters, after all.”

Hearing this, a man in work pants beside him shook his head and said, ”Not necessarily. I heard from that Dong Tai that there are many people at the headquarters. More people mean more competition, maybe it’s not better than here.

We ended up back here, have to say, some things are meant to be.”

Old Ma spoke, ”Contentment is happiness, come on, a pair of threes!”

”A pair of fours!”

”Four tens!”

”Hey! Old Ma, you’re a bit arrogant, got such good cards?”

”Hurry up and play, stop the nonsense. Do you want it or not?”

”No.”

......

Min Province.

Lanxi.

This area is dotted with hundreds of bunkers.

Before Doomsday, a doomsday-obsessed tycoon bought up this area and built hundreds of doomsday bunkers, selling them at high prices.

Some of his wealthy friends also bought some. Song Tianyi bought this bunker and brought his parents, wife, and children here to escape the zombies, thus surviving until now.

However, over the past six months, many nuclear radiation zombies have come from the east, causing them great trouble.

These radiation-affected zombies have been lingering nearby, making them unable to leave the bunker. Even stepping out onto the bunker for some fresh air forced them to be extremely cautious.

Buzz——

Song Tianyi lay in defeat on the sofa, listening to the static from the walkie-talkie on the table.

”Old Song, I’ve discussed with the others, there are only two ways. Either wait till after the heavy rain to lure the nuclear radiation zombies away, or we evacuate this place.”

”But it’s been so long since Doomsday broke out, we have no idea how the outside has changed. Our bunker is well-equipped, the outside might not be better than here, so the result of our discussion is to lure the nuclear radiation zombies elsewhere.”

Song Tianyi frowned, turned over, and continued to sleep.

He had an argument with his wife a few days ago and has been in a cold war recently, which put him in a bad mood.

”Old Song, Old Song are you there?”

The voice continued to come from the walkie-talkie.

Song Tianyi listened to the voice, feeling extremely irritable, so he sat up and said with a somewhat bad tone, ”I know, anyway, as long as you make the decision.”

The man on the other side of the walkie-talkie went silent after hearing Old Song’s voice.

After a long pause, he finally spoke, ”What is your opinion?”

”I have no opinion, luring away the zombies is fine.” Song Tianyi said, frowning.

The nuclear radiation zombies that appeared a few days ago lingered outside his bunker. These zombies have extremely keen senses and got into their ventilation ducts.

In desperation, he had to risk shooting the zombie with a gun.

Later, he found out that these glowing zombies were affected by nuclear radiation, and touching them meant certain death.

One family in the bunker died within a week due to close contact, and even those who had contact with them died one after another over the following months.

Nuclear radiation zombies are terrifying as such.

They lingered around their bunker, causing them great trouble.

”We don’t have enough people, Old Song, come join us. If this issue isn’t resolved, it’ll be trouble for everyone.” The man probed.

This man was precisely the doomsday-obsessed tycoon, Lin Zhengzhong. He single-handedly built this cluster of bunkers, and he lived in the largest and most luxurious bunker in this area.

Song Tianyi was about to refuse, but he looked at the closed bedroom door. He hadn’t slept in his room for two months, and his wife hadn’t spoken a word to him in two months.
