Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Bang!

Lightning and thunder.

As if it were daylight.

The situation outside the barricades was fully visible.

Zombies, like waves, were madly surging toward the barricades, piling up higher and higher.

However, once they climbed up to eight meters, they would be swept down by the Mobile Switch Blade, falling to the ground and getting devoured by the zombies below.

Tap tap tap—

A series of footsteps came from the side, Martin’s boots grating against the wet wall, creating an unpleasant sharp sound.

Li Yu turned his head and saw it was Old Bi and Uncle with the others.

Li Yu glanced down at the zombies below, and with the naked eye could see three or four of the jumping-type zombies.

”Go get the barbed spear,” Li Yu said to Qu Xing beside him.

”Spear? Oh, oh, alright.” Qu Xing nodded, then quickly walked toward the duty room.

Uncle’s expression was somewhat serious, he said to Li Yu, ”Xiao Yu, is this the type of zombie Guo Peng and the others encountered on the road?”

Li Yu nodded heavily and said, ”Yes, I want to capture this kind of zombie so the research room can study it.”

”These zombies look tough, I’ll go call some more people over,” said Old Bi.

Li Yu didn’t respond, but Uncle nodded to Old Bi, ”Alright, go bring a few people over.”

Old Bi hurriedly went to bring over another four duty personnel from the Outer City, located a dozen meters away.

Very soon.

Qu Xing came over carrying a spear. This spear was called a spear, but its appearance was somewhat similar, essentially it’s like a fish spear.

The sharpest part had a barb, which could pierce a zombie and then pull it up.

Previously, a rope loop was used, but its effectiveness wasn’t great. This method was later adopted, as even when the zombie’s chest is pierced through, it doesn’t die.

Li Yu held this spear, with a long rope attached behind it.

He pulled the rope and found it was fairly sturdy.

He addressed the people behind him, ”When I pull it up, you guys pin it down with the fork, cover its head with the iron helmet, and stay safe!”

Old Bi and the others nodded repeatedly, nervously watching Li Yu holding the spear.

This type of zombie was the first they had encountered, but Director Li wanted to capture it, to be honest, they were quite tense.

Their palms were a bit slippery, not knowing if it was sweat or rainwater.

Beside them, Qu Xing switched the searchlights to manual mode, and then aimed at a zombie below.

Li Yu focused on the jumping zombie below, weighed the spear in his hand, glanced at the rope behind him, ensuring no one was standing on it.

Otherwise, with his strength, the massive inertia would drag someone down too.

He aimed briefly.

Step!

Li Yu took a step forward, leaning his right-side body backwards, exerting maximum force to throw the spear.

Whoosh—

A rapid yet brief whistle tore through the falling rain.

Straight toward the zombie’s chest.

The speed was so fast that the sound it made was clearly heard by Old Bi and the others nearby.

The zombie was mid-jump, suspended in air, when its chest was fiercely pierced by the spear.

Due to the immense force, after penetrating this zombie’s chest, it continued onward.

Piercing the head of another zombie below.

The rope tied to the wall instantly went taut.

Li Yu bent down quickly to pick up the rope, then vigorously pulled it upward.

The weight of these two zombies combined was over two hundred pounds, but in Li Yu’s hands, it was like dragging something less than forty pounds.

Brush!

These two zombies were actually pulled up directly over a layer of switch blades.

Li Yu continued to pull upward, while Old Bi and the others wanted to help but were stopped by Li Yu’s command.

There was no need for help, adding more people would make it less flexible.

Li Yu’s speed was extremely fast, nearly every pull lifted the zombies by about one meter.

The zombie behind, whose head was pierced, when Li Yu first exerted force, the inertia had already blown open a fairly large hole in its head, and as Li Yu pulled it upward, it touched the second unopened switch blade and fell to the ground.

The remaining zombie, whose chest was pierced, roared, grabbing the rope with its hands.

The strength in Li Yu’s whole Big Camphor Tree Base was recognized as extraordinary.

In Li Yu’s hands, this zombie was like a tame kitten, utterly powerless to resist.

Very soon.

Li Yu pulled this zombie up to two meters below the top of the barricade.

”Tie the rope around its head to keep it from moving around later,” Li Yu said to Old Bi.

Old Bi nodded, hastily threw the coiled rope onto the zombie’s head, ensnaring it.

With no support under its feet, the zombie couldn’t jump at all.

However, the zombie’s agility was high, its hands could bend and grip the rope.

After the rope looped around the zombie’s head, Li Yu slowly pulled it up.

”Everyone back away,” Li Yu shouted.

He then pulled the zombie directly onto the wall, and at that moment, Old Bi and the two others pulled the rope backward, controlling the zombie.

Li Yu then picked up a mask from the ground, pressed it onto the zombie’s head, tied a knot at the bottom, and then secured it with an iron helmet.

With a forceful push, the zombie was knocked to the ground.

Qu Xing and the others quickly stepped forward, using iron locks to restrain the zombie’s hands and feet.
