Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

”What? Third Uncle, you know Old Ghost?” Li Yu asked somewhat surprised.

”Yes, speaking of Old Ghost, he almost became a member of the Special Forces, but later I brushed him off...”

Then Third Uncle told Li Yu some stories about Old Ghost, which left Li Yu feeling quite melancholic.

After finishing, Third Uncle pointed to Guan Zhongjin, who had been stealthily listening, and asked, ”Who is this person?”

”The second-in-command of the Motorcycle Gang, Guan Zhongjin.” Li Yu glanced at Guan Zhongjin and explained to Third Uncle.

Third Uncle looked at Guan Zhongjin’s miserable appearance; at this moment, his hands were still bound and connected to an armored vehicle.

Given Guan Zhongjin’s back, it wasn’t hard to imagine what Li Yu had just done to him.

But, why?

Why did Xiao Yu do this?

Third Uncle thought for a moment and directly asked, ”Xiao Yu, do you have a grudge against this person?”

Guan Zhongjin heard Third Uncle ask this and, despite his pain, listened carefully; he wanted to know why Li Yu was targeting him.

”There’s a grudge.”

After hearing this, Third Uncle hesitated but did not directly ask what the grudge was.

If Xiao Yu wanted to talk, he’d say it naturally, but asking himself was not quite appropriate.

On the other side, Guan Zhongjin widened his eyes and shouted in an extremely aggrieved voice, ”I don’t even know you, I haven’t offended you, how could there be a grudge?”

Li Yu slowly turned his head, seriously replied, ”You’re too ugly, just seeing you makes me unhappy.”

”Just because seeing me makes you unhappy?”

”Yes, that’s sufficient.” Li Yu said casually.

Guan Zhongjin’s expression looked as uncomfortable as if he’d eaten crap.

Third Uncle’s eyes flickered for a moment; he naturally knew the real reason Li Yu was targeting this person wasn’t this simple.

But Li Yu was his nephew, and this person is the second-in-command of the Motorcycle Gang, after all, ending up dead.

Though the ways of dying differ, he decided not to care or think about it anymore.

Third Uncle thought for a bit and changed the topic:

”Xiao Yu, Old Bi and they have captured a few prisoners. According to their confessions, most of the Motorcycle Gang is here, and their lair has less than twenty people left. Besides, there is a place to the west, and a food planting spot with a few dozen people. The rest have died here.”

”Oh, right, roughly counted, about seven or eight vehicles escaped; there should be twenty or thirty people who fled.”

Upon hearing this, Li Yu spoke up, ”It’s okay, being able to achieve such results now is already quite good, given how many people are in the Motorcycle Gang.

As for those who escaped, they won’t amount to much. No need to worry.

It’s too late today, we can deal with the Motorcycle Gang’s lair and that food planting spot tomorrow.”

Third Uncle nodded and replied, ”Yeah, I think so too.”

Then Third Uncle walked a few steps closer to Li Yu and said, ”I just went inside to see the situation; it’s a factory that can produce oil and refine it into gasoline and diesel, very impressive.

Moreover, currently, it’s semi-automated with diesel generators powering it.

I believe this Oil City is a very important strategic point, suitable as a subdivision of our base, we must station people here long-term.”

Upon hearing Third Uncle say this, Li Yu looked around the entire Oil City, thought for a while, and said, ”According to what you said, Third Uncle, indeed it’s necessary to keep this Oil City under control; this way, we have an endless fuel source.

I had thought about this before, which is why I brought Luo and Ju Tianrui here, but it’s thousands of kilometers away from Big Camphor Tree Base, and we can’t contact each other with our walkie-talkies.

If we can’t communicate frequently, once a problem occurs here, we at the Big Camphor Tree Base wouldn’t know.”

Third Uncle pondered the question before saying, ”I came back here half an hour before you did; do you know why the Motorcycle Gang has these firearms and ammunition?”

Li Yu was always curious about where the Motorcycle Gang’s weapons and ammunition came from, so he asked curiously, ”Where did they come from?”

”Zheng City military district, about two or three hundred kilometers from here, the Motorcycle Gang got their firearms and ammunition from there, but the place is overrun with Zombies, almost every building is packed with Zombies, getting worse as you go deeper. They only dared to search the perimeter. These firearms and ammunition came from the district’s perimeter.”

Li Yu’s eyes lit up; he asked, ”Third Uncle, your meaning is?”

Third Uncle looked at Li Yu and said, ”Usually places like these would have military radios; some military-grade ones can transmit over a thousand kilometers, fully meeting our needs.

We might not find it, but we can try.”

Upon hearing Third Uncle say this, Li Yu’s face slowly showed joy; he wanted to take over this Oil City, but lacked communication, which made it hard to control due to the distance.

But if they had the military radio Third Uncle mentioned, it would perfectly solve this problem.

Excited, he said, ”Alright, after finishing things here, we can go over and try to find a military radio; there might be other gains.”

Third Uncle smiled and nodded.

Just then, Dapao and the others returned to Oil City.
