Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

During the day it was one thing, but at night, blowing that kind of horn was no different from courting death, it would only attract Zombies.

Bwooo——

The horn blared.

Hundreds of vehicles began to move, driving in unison toward the Oil City fortress in the center of the encirclement.

Li Yu held the telescope, watching the convoy slowly close in.

He put down the telescope and once more checked all the firepower setups with everyone.

In the distance, the Motorcycle Gang drove their vehicles forward at a slow crawl.

Four kilometers.

Three kilometers.

Two kilometers.

As the encirclement tightened, the gaps between the Motorcycle Gang’s vehicles grew smaller and smaller.

Li Yu glanced at Third Uncle. Third Uncle put down his telescope and gave Li Yu a slight nod.

Li Yu pulled out the walkie-talkie and shouted, ”Open fire!”

In an instant.

The Oil City fortress erupted from all four sides, spewing Bombs toward the four directions.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!

In a heartbeat, Bombs from all four directions slammed into the Motorcycle Gang’s encirclement two kilometers out.

The ten Mortars they had brought needed to be reloaded, so the rate of fire was slower, but they could still manage one round every two seconds.

Ten Mortars, two tanks, two Armored Vehicles.

The Bombs they spat out erupted among the Motorcycle Gang two kilometers away.

Five kilometers out, Old Ghost saw this scene. His body twitched, he hurriedly sat up and, terrified, raised his telescope.

”They actually have this many Mortars!”

At a distance of two kilometers, it would only take the Motorcycle Gang two or three minutes to reach the Oil City fortress from afar.

But in just those two or three minutes, Li Yu and the others fired off more than 700 Bombs.

Almost no vehicle managed to break through into the one-kilometer zone around the Oil City fortress.

If you looked down from above the Oil City fortress, the Bombs spraying out were like a goddess scattering flowers with the fortress as the center, flinging explosives in all directions.

In just those two or three minutes, more than half of the Motorcycle Gang’s vehicles were hit by Bombs.

However.

The bombardment still didn’t stop.

Seeing the effect of the shelling was this good, completely beyond his expectations, Li Yu gave no order to cease fire.

The bombardment kept going.

Not until five minutes of bombing had passed.

Within one kilometer outside the Oil City fortress, dust and smoke billowed to the sky before Li Yu finally had everyone stop firing.

Five minutes of bombardment, more than twelve hundred Bombs fired, wiped out two-thirds of the Motorcycle Gang.

Third Uncle watched this and said to Li Yu, ”The time has come!”

Li Yu gave Third Uncle a heavy nod.

Third Uncle turned to the people in the back and said, ”Now it’s our turn!”

With that, Old Qin slammed down on the gas, roaring straight toward the Motorcycle Gang.

At this moment the Motorcycle Gang’s rhythm had been completely shattered by the shelling. In the choking dust, Guan Zhongjin kept shouting, trying to get everyone to re-form the line.

In the past, the Motorcycle Gang had relied on numbers, on superior firepower, on hordes of members who feared no death.

But once they ran into someone even stronger than the Motorcycle Gang, defeat came like a landslide; morale was easily shaken.

After this round of shelling, many in the Motorcycle Gang were scared out of their wits.

They watched the people beside them blown to pieces by Bombs, watched the sky rain down dense Bombs. They were never real soldiers.

Besides, even real soldiers, with the fighting at this level, would be on the edge of breaking.

This salvo shattered that so-called invincible morale the Motorcycle Gang once had.

Now, to order them to charge again, they simply couldn’t muster the courage.

Fear of death is human nature.

It’s just that this fear, this human instinct, was now forcing them to run.

In the smoke and dust that blanketed several kilometers around, the Motorcycle Gang scattered like headless flies.

Their rhythm broken, many vehicles crashed into each other in the panic, causing wrecks.

Fierce flames roared, thick smoke billowed.

Before the dust had even cleared, they saw a convoy driving out from the Oil City fortress, heading straight toward them.

The scattered Motorcycle Gang scrambled to flee the area.

But Third Uncle and the others had already reached them.

With the drone’s overhead view guiding them, Third Uncle and his crew could easily pick off the enemy.

All they had to do was pour fire in whatever direction the drone pointed to.

Ten vehicles, ten Heavy Machine Guns, ten Rocket Launchers—devastating firepower.

Third Uncle and the others drove their vehicles in a loop around the Oil City fortress, circling it once.

Watching the feed from the drone, Li Yu was pumped to the extreme.

The Motorcycle Gang had been slaughtered into terror by now, fleeing in all directions.

But Third Uncle and his crew circled them, hunting them down.

The overall situation was set!

Seeing this scene, Li Yu relaxed a lot inside.

This place was flat and wide; it was normal for a few Motorcycle Gang members to escape, but there were two men who absolutely had to die.

That Motorcycle Gang boss, and Guan Zhongjin.

So he took out the walkie‑talkie and contacted Third Uncle: ”Third Uncle, it’s pretty much all cleared out around here. That Old Ghost on the west side, killing him is the real priority. I’m handing him to you.”

”Got it.” Third Uncle replied after hearing Li Yu’s voice.

Right from the start Li Yu had been staring at Guan Zhongjin, but during the bombardment just now, smoke and dust filled the sky and he lost track of Guan Zhongjin. Now that the overall situation was decided...

He was going to take revenge.

After searching with the telescope for a while, Li Yu finally saw Guan Zhongjin to the east.

Right now he was fleeing Oil City Fortress in a hurry with a few vehicles.

Li Yu shoved the telescope into his jacket and shouted to Dapao: ”Dapao, Tianlong, Luo, you’re with me.”

”Tiezi, you’re in charge here.”

Li Tie was instantly confused—what the hell was this.

How could there be action without calling him.

But Li Yu moved fast. He had the guy sitting on top of the Armored Vehicle get down, then he climbed up himself.

Luo, after hearing Li Yu’s words, immediately drove another Armored Vehicle to follow behind them.

Two Armored Vehicles, plus the two cars driven by Dapao and the others.

They sped off toward the east.

Watching Li Yu and the others leaving, Li Tie muttered helplessly under his breath: ”What the hell are they going to do?”

Beside him, Li Gang shook his head and said, ”I don’t know either, but I’m kind of bummed out right now.”

”Same here.”

Li Yu had no idea what they were thinking, but he did know he couldn’t let himself and Li Tie and Li Gang all be thrown into danger at the same time.

Li Yu stared hard in the direction of Guan Zhongjin, constantly urging Xiao Ding, who was driving the Armored Vehicle, to go faster.

.....

On the other side.

Third Uncle and his group circled around Oil City Fortress and wiped out the remaining third of the Motorcycle Gang members. Only a dozen or so vehicles got away; since they’d fled too far, they didn’t pursue.

After receiving Li Yu’s message, Third Uncle had Old Qin drive toward the west—they were going to kill the Motorcycle Gang’s boss, Old Ghost!

Old Ghost looked at the billowing smoke and dust, unable to see what exactly was happening inside.

Blocked by that thick smoke, he never saw Third Uncle and the others coming out of the Oil City Fortress.

He only heard gunfire nonstop; at first he thought it was his people, who had finally broken through the bombardment ring and pushed into Oil City Fortress.

But when he saw those Motorcycle Gang vehicles fleeing out of the smoke, he finally understood what had happened.

Whoosh!

A massive armored RV drove out of the smoke and was roaring straight toward him.

”It’s coming for me! Go, go, go!”

Old Ghost’s face changed drastically as he shouted at the driver.

It was like he felt the steering wheel had to be in his own hands to be reliable.

The next second, he flung the door open and kicked the driver out.

Then he sat in the driver’s seat, spun the wheel, and pulled away.

The dozen or so vehicles beside him, seeing the boss taking off, hurried to follow.

Only that stunned driver, who reacted a beat too slow, watched their convoy pull away.

He scrambled up from the ground and shouted at the convoy: ”I’m not in the car yet!!!”

While sprinting after Old Ghost and the others’ convoy.

But not a single vehicle stopped.

A minute later.

The driver was caught by Third Uncle, and a single bullet sent him west.

Watching the fleeing Motorcycle Gang, Third Uncle said to Old Qin, ”Push it to max speed!”

It was now six ten.

Out on the plains, with no mountains to block it, the setting sun went down later.

The plains still had sunlight.

Old Qin floored the gas, and the RV’s speed surged.

Under the drone’s view, Old Ghost and his men never left Third Uncle’s field of vision.

They stayed a steady one kilometer behind Old Ghost’s group.

But Old Ghost’s group was fast too, so for the moment—

Third Uncle’s side chased; Old Ghost’s side ran.

The gap between them never shrank, but it didn’t widen either.

”Jackals, try the Rocket Launcher,” Third Uncle said to Jackals, starting to lose patience.

Normally a Rocket Launcher’s range was a few hundred meters, and at most could reach about a kilometer.

”On it.”

Jackals replied.
