Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

The shell fired by the tank, since the tank was stationary when fired, had very low difficulty and thus extremely high accuracy.

The shell accurately hit the mud truck where Zhao Lao San was located.

With the explosion, the front of the truck blew up, torn apart mercilessly like it was made of paper, scattering into pieces.

The tires flew into the sky as thick black smoke rose.

Zhao Lao San inside died instantly, and the rear body behind the front, since the cab exploded, tilted and skidded for a distance before tipping over into the muddy dirt beside the road.

The various steel spikes and spears previously inserted into the truck were blasted open, flying erratically.

Some were blown up and, as they fell, struck a vehicle behind it.

The sharp spearhead plunged heavily into the roof of the vehicle due to gravitational acceleration and pierced through the person driving inside.

Boom!

Xiao Jun and the others drove their armored vehicle, following the tank, pursuing the vehicles ahead.

The subordinates who had been following Zhao Lao San were instantly stunned.

They had been killing wantonly here without encountering proper resistance, thinking today was just a routine check, yet they unexpectedly met such a formidable enemy.

More importantly, Zhao Lao San, who was commanding them, died in the first exchange.

Now, they were like headless flies, not knowing what to do.

Some wanted to turn back, but in their hurry, the turning speed was not fast.

Collisions occurred between vehicles, causing a blockage instead.

Bang bang bang——

A vehicle attempted to bypass the congestion by driving along the roadside, but there was a ditch with some water between the road edge and the farmland below.

Due to the height difference, the vehicle flipped over directly into the paddy field.

Rat-a-tat-tat——

This national road was only eight or nine meters wide, and at most could allow two vehicles to drive parallel side by side.

Next to the tank driven by Luo, there was barely room for another armored vehicle to drive alongside.

Xiao Jun in the vehicle and Xiao Ding on the tank operated the machine guns, bullets streaming like tongues of fire towards the vehicles ahead.

Bullets rained down.

On the other side.

Old Bi and others blocked their retreat, driving another armored vehicle and pouring bullets at them ruthlessly.

They were being attacked from both ends.

Rumble rumble!

Two rocket launcher shells hit two of the vehicles.

Flames roared, and black smoke billowed.

......

The battle lasted only a few minutes, and after a couple of sporadic gunshots, it came to an end.

There lay over a dozen bodies in the waterfields on both sides of the road, all shot dead by them.

This battle wiped out Zhao Lao San and his group completely.

”Director Li, no survivors found.” Xiao Jun quickly walked up to Li Yu and reported.

Li Yu nodded, looking displeased.

In such a battle, it’s normal for there to be no survivors.

So he instructed everyone to clean up the battlefield swiftly.

His mood today was somewhat irritable, possibly because he might run into his nemesis Guan Zhongjin later, which made his emotions lose control a bit.

With a sullen face, Li Yu walked up to Third Uncle, pulled out a map, and said to him: ”Third Uncle, after we wrap up here, we’ll head straight to Oil City. You’ll be in charge of the attack, and I’ll intercept reinforcements nearby.”

”Alright.” Third Uncle nodded.

Within a few minutes, they completed the cleanup.

The vehicles that Zhao Lao San brought over were all blown up or wrecked by bullets, basically useless.

So they pushed the wreckages into the farmlands by the road.

After dealing with the battle here, Li Yu and his group headed straight towards Oil City.

Oil City was just over ten kilometers away from here.

In the vehicle.

After discussing with Third Uncle, Li Yu allotted two tanks to him, each taking half of the mortars, with five each.

However, unless absolutely necessary, it was better not to use these mortars when attacking Oil City.

But the tanks could be quite effective.

These iron lumps could charge into Oil City, breaking through the gates to great effect.

Li Yu had Xiao Jun lead thirty people, along with Li Tie and others, making a total of forty.

The remaining hundred were placed under Third Uncle’s command to seize Oil City.

After discussing these matters, Li Yu clenched his fists.

Beside Li Yu, Dapao, driving the Unimog, noticed something unusual about Li Yu and asked: ”Brother Yu, what’s wrong?”

Li Yu shook his head, then lit a cigarette, staring blankly out the car window.

Inside, his heart burned with anger, becoming increasingly unsettled as the moment for revenge approached.

Killing is both a simple and complex matter.

Perhaps Li Yu’s irritable emotions could only be extinguished by personally executing the enemy.

In countless dreams, he saw himself being torn apart and bitten to death by zombies.

This caused tremendous psychological strain on him.

After reincarnating, he suppressed the nearby factions of Xin City with violence and blood.

Sometimes there’s no right or wrong, only interests.

At four o’clock in the evening.

They arrived near Oil City.

Looking over the vast, open terrain.

Li Yu sighed at how different the terrain here was compared to the Southern areas.

Third Uncle contacted Li Yu: ”We’re heading in, the interception is up to you.”
