Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

”Okay.” Third Uncle then asked Old Qin to start the car and head towards Macheng.

Li Yu and his group didn’t linger here; they took only three minutes for everyone to use the nearby bathroom or something.

Then they got in the car and left.

The dark clouds hung over them; just now, they could occasionally see the sun, but now it’s completely covered by the clouds.

They needed to leave this place as soon as possible and get to Macheng.

But even if they were anxious inside, the car could only maintain this speed, at best fifty kilometers per hour. Any faster, and the flatbed truck carrying the tank could easily have issues.

The road hadn’t been repaired for a long time, it’s rough and uneven. Driving too fast could easily cause issues with the vehicle, and the cars behind could easily get lost.

Fortunately, Third Uncle and his group were clearing the way, ramming some obstructing cars aside, saving Li Yu and the others behind the time needed to clear the road.

Third Uncle and his group had a special constitution, under high-speed driving, this level of bumpiness wasn’t a big issue for them.

But for others, trying to maintain a speed of seventy kilometers under such bounce, never mind the driver, even the passengers would feel as if they’re on a perpetual elevator, totally unbearable.

Leaving Xishui County, Li Yu didn’t speak the whole way, occasionally looking at the map and assessing the surroundings, determining their position.

Three o’clock in the afternoon.

Third Uncle and his group arrived at a small town under Macheng, Baiguozhen.

In the vicinity, they found a suitable spot for setting up camp.

Five kilometers outside this small town, there was a driving school three hundred meters from the highway, right next to the national road.

The national road connects to the highway, and Li Yu’s group could get there by driving three hundred meters off the highway.

Generally, driving schools are located on the outskirts of counties or within cities.

Having a driving school near a village or town is rare, mainly due to insufficient clientele.

But this driving school’s proximity to Baiguozhen might have to do with its advantageous location and convenient transportation.

A driving school is a preferred location for setting up camp, mainly for its walls, convenient transportation, and spacious grounds.

Third Uncle was pleased upon seeing this driving school and said to Old Qin, ”Let’s go in and have a look. This place seems fit for camping tonight.”

Old Qin drove to the entrance.

”Stop!” Third Uncle suddenly said.

He looked around from inside the car.

Then he took his rifle and got out of the vehicle.

He walked to the gate and examined it.

This gate was bolted shut from the inside, not locked from the outside.

Third Uncle pondered for a moment, then crouched down and examined the ground.

He rubbed the dirt on the ground and saw fresh footprints.

His heart sank, and he returned to the car.

He told Old Qin and the others, ”There seems to be someone inside.”

”What should we do?” Jackals asked sullenly.

Ant looked at the sky, opened the window, and the wind outside carried a hint of a damp scent.

Although in the doomsday there is no weather forecast, the weather could change as quickly as a child’s mood.

But the signs before a rainfall remain unchanged.

From the humidity of the wind, Ant knew that it’s going to rain soon, and heavily.

”Captain, it’s going to rain soon. We’ve just found an ideal spot to camp, how about we...” Ant didn’t finish his sentence, but his gaze at the driving school said it all.

No one wants to stay in the unprotected rain in the doomsday.

It means death is only minutes away from you.

Third Uncle thought for a moment and took out the walkie-talkie to contact Li Yu, ”We found a driving school, the location seems good for camping tonight. But there’s one problem; there might be people inside.”

Li Yu and the others were less than fifteen kilometers away and would be there in about twenty minutes.

Li Yu also noticed the weather change and knew it would rain soon.

After considering for a few seconds, he said to Third Uncle, ”What’s your opinion, Third Uncle?”

”Go in and talk to them. If it’s convenient, we’ll shelter from the rain together without interfering with each other. If it’s inconvenient, then ask them to make it convenient for us.”

Third Uncle never disappoints.

Li Yu thought silently.

Then he spoke, ”Alright, let’s do it your way.”

Third Uncle responded, ”Okay, we’ll wait for you here.”

Then he tucked the walkie-talkie into his chest and said to the people behind him, ”Brothers, let’s go in and have a chat.”

”Jackals, go open the gate; don’t break the lock; be polite.” Third Uncle looked at Jackals.

Jackals nodded slightly and got out of the car.

He walked to the gate and examined the lock, pulled out two wires from who knows where, and unlocked it in a few swift moves.

He pushed but found another bar behind it was drawn.

He glanced back at Third Uncle, seeing him nod.

Jackals took a few steps back, stepped on the wall next to the gate, leveraged himself backward, and easily lifted onto the wall.

Then he flipped over and entered the over five-meter-high wall.

He casually looked at the building behind him, catching glimpses of a few figures from the corner of his eye.

But he ignored them, nonchalantly sliding open the bar and swung the gates wide open.

Old Qin saw the gate open and stepped on the gas, rushing in.

As the vehicle entered, Jackals grabbed onto the car’s door handle with one hand, stepping on the pedal, and followed the car inside.

Inside the driving school’s building, a dozen pairs of eyes turned in unison towards them.

Someone nearby said worriedly, ”Brother Feng, these people aren’t ordinary, what do we do now?”
