The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 636: Chapter 636: Attack of the Anti-Fans

”The person in a vegetative state I treated the day before yesterday was in a deep coma, having lost the most basic abilities to move and think. But his condition wasn’t the worst. I was able to treat him mainly because I got lucky. If he had been brain-dead, there wouldn’t have been anything I could do.”

”Let me talk about the treatment process a few days ago. It was very simple, just acupuncture, starting from the Baihui Acupoint, stimulating his brain. When this stimulation reached its limit, he might wake up. There’s also a possibility that nothing at all will happen.”

Lin Tian said a lot, but all the answers were ambiguous, and the reporters present didn’t get any fundamental solution. They felt Lin Tian was still holding back.

Of course, Lin Tian was indeed holding back. He didn’t mention his Spiritual Qi, and that was something he couldn’t possibly disclose. And if he did, what would change? Could others possess Spiritual Qi?

No! On the contrary, it would only bring unnecessary trouble to himself, so not mentioning it was the best approach.

After a round of murmuring among themselves, another reporter asked, ”So, is your method also applicable to those deeply comatose in a vegetative state?”

”Yes, but I can’t guarantee they will wake up.” Lin Tian replied, ”As I said earlier, it was pure luck that the previous patient was cured.”

Some still didn’t believe it. Lin Tian’s medical skills during those two days of open consultation were incredibly miraculous. Besides the vegetative patient, there were many other difficult illnesses. If everything was explained away by luck, why would doctors be needed?

Suddenly, a few people stood on chairs in the back of the press area, conspicuously shouting, ”Do you still claim ancient medicine isn’t a scam? How is the answer any different from what’s written in books? There’s no feasible method at all; it’s all nonsense!”

”Exactly! You hoard your knowledge, yet talk about ancient medicine? By not sharing what you know, those precious insights are lost to time. Don’t you feel you’re a traitor to ancient medicine?”

Someone else shouted, ”Everything you’re saying can be found online. Can’t you give us some solid information? You don’t seem any different from medical scammers!”

One stone stirred up a thousand waves.

Immediately, the murmurs around grew louder. Some whispered that these people were here to stir up trouble, while others believed they were speaking the truth.

With every word, they targeted the core, putting the heavy hat of a medical scammer on Lin Tian’s head. Suddenly, those who couldn’t understand stood against Lin Tian.

Zhao Xuefeng and Zhao Qingtang were furious, and it was evident from their expressions. Zhao Xuefeng’s face turned red with anger, and Zhao Qingtang was breathing heavily as if ready to fight.

Suddenly, Zhao Qingtang stood up, pointed at the people on the chairs, and shouted, ”You’re the scammers! What right do you have to question him and ancient medicine?! What can you do besides talk?”

Zhao Qingtang was visibly agitated. Lin Tian knew her temperament well; she was a bookworm who focused entirely on ancient medicine and knew nothing about societal manners. Engaging with these trolls like this was entirely inappropriate, lowering her status instead.

Lin Tian also stood up, patted Zhao Qingtang on the shoulder, and said, ”You sit down first. I’ll talk to them.”

Zhao Qingtang glanced at Lin Tian, inexplicably sat down, but still snorted heavily through her nose, clearly displeased with those people.

Lin Tian stood up and had no intention of sitting down. He held the microphone and said, ”You idiots, don’t you find your questions laughable?”

Wow...

The whole place was in an uproar. Why was he suddenly insulting people?

Still, listening to him insult them felt quite satisfying.

However, some were displeased, especially those standing on chairs, who expressed their anger, ”How can you insult people? Don’t you have any decency?”

”Exactly, with such decency, how good can his medical skills be? Isn’t he a scammer?”

”Decency? Perhaps people like you don’t deserve such a thing. You’re neither my friends nor my patients. It seems you’re my enemies instead. Do I need to show mercy to my enemies?”

”You say everything I said is nonsense. You can choose not to listen and leave. You say I’m hoarding my knowledge, but that’s an even dumber comment. If I were that kind of person, would I hold a press conference today? Moreover, when I have time, I plan to compile all the ancient medicine knowledge I know into a book.”

”You claim my words are obscure, nonsensical. I didn’t expect you to understand anyway. How can the profoundness of ancient medicine be explained clearly in a few words to someone as illiterate as you? If you can’t understand this, how could you comprehend if I went deeper?”

Lin Tian laughed, ”You say I’m a medical scammer? Do you have any evidence? I cured more than thirty patients during the two days of open consultations. Am I a medical scammer then?”

”I think you’re all sick—with rabies, barking wildly at people!”

Lin Tian felt satisfied with his insults, yet those questioning him were infuriated, pointing at him but unable to utter a word.

Zhao Qingtang tilted her head, looking at him, feeling undefined emotions. She just found him less annoying than before, even quite handsome, especially when he was insulting people!

Holding the microphone, Lin Tian continued, ”These days, I’ve gained many fans; they’re quite adorable. But I suppose you few are my anti-fans?”

”...” The few standing on chairs remained silent. They looked at each other, wanting to jump down from the chairs, feeling too conspicuous standing like that. But would it be too disgraceful to run away?

As they hesitated about leaving, Lin Tian said again, ”I think you must have been sent by Director Liu Mang, right? You failed to disrupt the scene, so you won’t get the remaining payment when you return, right?”

Lin Tian said this, only as a probe.

These people were clearly arranged to target him, and if not instigated by others, Lin Tian found it hard to believe.

Who else would want to tarnish his and ancient medicine’s reputation? The answer was obvious—it was that Liu Mang from Waihai City.

For a moment, those standing on the chairs blushed and looked flustered, arguing, ”We don’t even know who Liu Mang is; we just think what you said is trash!”

”Oh? Can any of you tell me if any of you understand medicine? If not, you probably don’t even know what I’m talking about, right?”

”...”

They were silent. They really didn’t understand.

”I don’t care if you’re Liu Mang’s clowns or not; come down from the chairs first. You look so silly standing like that.”

Those standing on chairs felt embarrassed. They actually didn’t want to stand on chairs, but it lacked deterrence, and who would have predicted it would become so awkward.
