The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 634: Chapter 634: My Daughter’s Been Swooped Away

After a knee fracture, the healing period generally takes several months, after which the plaster can be removed for rehabilitation exercises.

And most rehabilitation exercises involve lying on the bed, placing a small pillow under the ankle, and then exercising the calf. Only when the rehab exercises are done well can one get out of bed to walk.

But who else is like Xu Ning’an? It’s been just about a month in the hospital, and the plaster is removed, with her directly getting out of bed to walk.

In the eyes of Dr. Chen and other doctors and nurses, this is simply misleading, the act of a quack doctor.

However, the person who proposed this approach is Lin Tian, so they have nothing to say.

How could this divine doctor, making headlines these days, be a quack?

Others may not know Xu Ning’an’s situation now, but Lin Tian is well aware.

Xu Ning’an’s knee has already been nourished with Spiritual Qi for a long time; getting out of bed to walk isn’t much of an issue at this point. What Lin Tian is worried about now is whether Xu Ning’an can endure it.

Walking with a fracture not fully healed is very painful. But the more Xu Ning’an can hold on, the fewer lingering ailments there will be in the future. The more Spiritual Qi will be absorbed.

”Hiss~ Hmm...”

Every step she takes, she inhales sharply, her brow furrowed, with beads of sweat covering her forehead, all from the pain.

”Not bad, you’ve walked about fifty meters,” Lin Tian nodded in satisfaction. ”Let’s walk another fifty meters and then go back.”

”Okay!” Xu Ning’an agreed and continued walking with crutches, inching forward.

Don’t think that using crutches won’t hurt. What she has injured is the bone; before it heals, even a slight movement causes pain from the very core. If not for her strong will, she might have long given up.

Xu Haohai followed behind, feeling distressed seeing his daughter like this, wishing he could suffer this pain for her.

Finally, another fifty meters were walked, but Xu Ning’an still did not stop.

She walked with crutches, her hospital gown soaked with sweat, yet she gritted her teeth, looking firmly ahead, shaking as she walked.

Lin Tian opened his mouth, wanting to say something. But seeing her determined expression, he gave up.

After another fifty meters, Xu Ning’an’s right leg started trembling from the pain, her lips pale, with bloodshot eyes, appearing to push herself to the limit.

Lin Tian walked up and supported her arm, saying, ”That’s enough for today, don’t walk anymore.”

She shook her head, ”Let me walk a little more.”

”Doesn’t it hurt?”

”It’s really painful. But you said, as long as I keep at it long enough, it’ll heal faster. I want to get off the hospital bed sooner, so I can walk, run, jump! And wear my police uniform again.”

She lifted her serious face, the determination in her eyes made Lin Tian pause.

”You will, all of this will happen. But when I talked about perseverance, I meant doing it daily, not all at once. Haste makes waste, you understand?”

Xu Ning’an’s previously excited mood suddenly sank. She stared blankly at the grass below her feet, murmuring, ”I understand, but...”

”There’s no but, just follow my instructions and I promise you will be just like before, able to wear your stylish police uniform and infiltrate behind enemy lines, just don’t get caught foolishly again.” Lin Tian joked.

Xu Ning’an’s face flushed, remembering the time at Black Gold Security Company. Wasn’t it then that she infiltrated the enemy lines and got caught?

She used to think her actions were quite heroic, but now with Lin Tian’s teasing, she suddenly felt she had been quite foolish.

Suddenly, a cold object pressed against her face. Cool, with a slight scent of orchids, very comfortable.

Lin Tian held a wet wipe in his hand, using it to gently wipe the sweat off Xu Ning’an’s face, his eyes wide open, with a cautious yet attentive demeanor.

Xu Ning’an’s eyes widened, staring closely at the nearby face, unconsciously holding her breath as if afraid to disturb this moment of tranquility.

”Next time when you go out, remember to bring a towel. Being soaked in sweat must be uncomfortable,” Lin Tian said softly.

Xu Ning’an didn’t dare to speak, her long eyelashes fluttering, as if wanting to express countless words.

Suddenly, Lin Tian stood in front of Xu Ning’an, turned around, and squatted down.

”What are you doing?” Xu Ning’an asked, slightly nervously.

Lin Tian tapped his back with his hand, saying, ”Hop on, I’ll carry you back. You’ve walked so long, aren’t you hurting?”

Xu Ning’an’s face reddened, ”But... we could ask Uncle to fetch a wheelchair.”

Even as she said this, Xu Ning’an couldn’t help but jump onto him, her arms tightly wrapping around Lin Tian’s neck, as if fearing he might run away.

”A wheelchair is hard and uncomfortable, not like my back,” Lin Tian said, using his broad palms to lift her buttocks a bit higher.

Xu Ning’an’s heart raced faster, thinking to herself, ”Your back is hard too. But... it’s indeed much more comfortable than a wheelchair.”

On his back was the scorching sun, heating the skin on his back. Yet Xu Ning’an felt this sun’s warmth couldn’t compete with Lin Tian’s back, which was ten times warmer.

Xu Haohai picked up the abandoned crutch from the lawn, watching the pair as they walked further away, sighed after a long while, ”Well, my daughter has been completely snatched away.”

Xu Haohai felt very pitiful, just like this crutch left behind by Xu Ning’an.

...

The next day, clouds covered the sky, blocking the sun. A downpour cascaded down following rumbling thunder.

Yesterday was hot enough to leave one drenched in sweat, but today the temperature suddenly dropped, requiring a thin coat for warmth.

Lin Tian stood by the floor-to-ceiling window in his room, with Liou Qingcheng still sleeping soundly behind him. For some reason, Lin Tian felt an ominous premonition, one that was very strong.

Yet upon reflection, he couldn’t pinpoint any specific thoughts.

At this moment, Liou Qingcheng gradually awoke. The ’battle’ last night left her body still not fully recovered.

She looked at Lin Tian’s back, asking, ”What are you thinking about?”

”Nothing, just a bit annoyed.”

”Because of the press conference?”

Since Lin Tian conducted a medical consultation for two days, curing several difficult-to-treat conditions in no time and providing feasible treatment plans for some patients, more and more people online began to focus on him.

The reporters, somehow obtaining Lin Tian’s contact information, continuously called him asking various medical questions.

Lin Tian could answer three or four questions, but couldn’t possibly answer them all, right? He chose to turn off his phone.

However, the day before, he had promised to hold a press conference, and this matter was being widely discussed, with very high attention.
