The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 482: Chapter 482: Discharged from the Hospital

With his legs stretched straight, Lin Tian flipped over and jumped off the hospital bed.

By now, he had already changed out of his hospital gown, into some dry clothes.

Today was discharge day; Lin Tian had stayed at the hospital for just a few days, and his injuries were almost healed, whether it was the internal organs or the nine broken bones.

As the saying goes, limb injuries take a hundred days to heal, and based on the doctors and nurses’ judgment, Lin Tian would need at least two months of recuperation before he could get off the bed and walk. As for discharge, it would depend on his recovery.

But no one expected that in just a few days, Lin Tian would be bouncing back with vitality, surprising many people.

In the hospital, Wu Neng’s incident from a few days ago was wildly talked about. Everyone knew the young man in the ward was highly regarded by the hospital director.

But these were just rumors, and no one believed them because he was so young, looking barely over twenty. The director would invite him to be the vice director of the Ancient Hospital? Even lies should be somewhat believable, right?

”Let’s go, let’s handle the discharge paperwork.” Lin Tian bounced in place a couple of times, enjoying the feeling of not being confined to a hospital bed.

Liou Qingcheng cast Lin Tian a sideways glance, pouting like a little wife, ”You just recovered and you’re already bouncing around, calm down!”

Saying that, Liou Qingcheng stepped forward and wrapped her arm around Lin Tian’s, complaining with her mouth, but with a sweet smile on her face. With Lin Tian recovering, of course she was happy.

There were only some leftover fruits in the room, nothing else needed to be taken, so there was no need to pack.

The two walked to the front desk of the hospital lobby and handed Lin Tian’s medical card to a nurse to handle the discharge.

The nurse took the medical card and processed the paperwork at the computer. After a while, she looked at them with wide eyes and surprisingly asked, ”You are Lin Tian?”

Lin Tian was taken aback and then nodded, ”I am, what’s up?”

”How come you’re so young?”

The nurse’s words triggered curious glances from other doctors and nurses; for a moment, they looked at Lin Tian as if he were a national treasure.

Lin Tian was a bit puzzled; he could understand female nurses eyeing him because of his looks, but why were the male doctors looking at him that way? Did getting sick suddenly make him appealing to everyone?

Lin Tian coughed lightly and asked, ”I am quite young, what’s the matter?”

”Oh, nothing, I just didn’t expect you to be so young... But you can’t be discharged yet...” the young nurse said.

”Why can’t I be discharged?” Liou Qingcheng, too, felt the strange glances around.

The young nurse replied, ”Our hospital has a policy; if the patient hasn’t met discharge conditions, discharge paperwork can’t be processed. Unless the patient’s condition deteriorates and current medical means are powerless, or you decide to abandon treatment. Are you going to abandon treatment?”

”Abandon treatment?”

Lin Tian’s eyes widened, what kind of play was this? He was obviously healthy and lively.

He jumped in place twice and said, ”I’m all healed up.”

The young nurse pointed at the computer screen and said, ”But your medical records only have entries from a few days ago, no recovery records. Hold on, I’ll call the director, I can’t decide on this discharge...”

Lin Tian and Liou Qingcheng exchanged a glance, seeing the helplessness in each other’s eyes. Was it really necessary to wait for the director’s approval for such a small matter?

After the call, the young nurse said a few words and hung up; unexpectedly, Sun Chuanrong hurried over from the office.

Sun Chuanrong stood in front of Lin Tian, looking him up and down, and finally, in disbelief, asked, ”Lin Tian, are you really all healed?”

Not only were others unwilling to believe it, but even Sun Chuanrong thought it was a miracle.

After Wu Neng left his position, Sun Chuanrong kept an eye on Lin Tian, reviewing his medical records several times, knowing how severe his injuries were when he arrived, nearly at death’s door.

Back then, Wu Neng had said Lin Tian’s condition would require at least half a year of hospitalization. But now, within just a few days, Lin Tian was healed?

”Yes, Director, I’m pretty much healed. A couple more days of rest at home should finish the recovery.” Lin Tian nodded, speaking respectfully; if it were someone else, he wouldn’t bother explaining.

The director was surprised for a while before saying to the nurse from earlier, ”Jia, help Lin Tian with the discharge paperwork.”

The nurse, now recovering her senses, glanced lingeringly at Lin Tian a few times before beginning to process the discharge.

Sun Chuanrong’s heart was ablaze; if he was astonished before, today was truly a miracle.

”Lin Tian, where did you learn your medical skills? Don’t overthink it, I’m just curious.” Sun Chuanrong asked with a smile.

”From a mentor, who is also my benefactor. But I can’t reveal who he is.” Lin Tian replied modestly.

Sun Chuanrong didn’t mind, smiling warmly, ”Really not interested in the vice director position? If you agree, you can start tomorrow without a probationary period.”

The surrounding doctors and nurses focused their attention on the two, and hearing this, collectively gasped.

Facing Sun Chuanrong’s offer again, Lin Tian shook his head, ”Sorry, I have more important things to do, so you’ll have to find someone else for the position.”

Sun Chuanrong was mentally prepared, knowing Lin Tian wouldn’t agree, but hearing it still made him a bit disappointed.

After all, someone as skilled as Lin Tian wouldn’t be tempted by the vice director position.

To avoid awkwardness, Sun Chuanrong chuckled twice and waved, ”No problem. By the way, do you know about the medical summit?”

Lin Tian shook his head; he hadn’t paid attention to medical affairs, so how would he know?

”The medical summit is a gathering of top practitioners from the medical community, where renowned domestic physicians participate, exchanging medical insights. Even your mentor attends. He’s humble but quite interested in such gatherings.”

Sun Chuanrong smiled at Lin Tian, his eyes glowing, his tone slightly excited.

”So, are you inviting me to attend?” Lin Tian asked, ”All the experts will be there, shouldn’t I be cautious?”

”Why not? Compared to you, who dares claim they’re a medical expert? If you don’t attend, who else is qualified? Mr. Zhao played me the recording of your conversation. Even though I learned Western medicine, I understand ancient practices, and listening to it, I got goosebumps. My admiration for you is growing.”

Sun Chuanrong spoke with growing enthusiasm, attracting everyone’s attention, making Lin Tian the center of focus once more.

Lin Tian laughed dryly, surprised by Sun Chuanrong’s excitement.

Liou Qingcheng shook Lin Tian’s hand and whispered, ”Go. It’ll be good to see for yourself.”

What girlfriend wouldn’t be happy to see her boyfriend outstanding? Liou Qingcheng felt Lin Tian was extraordinary, so much so that even she, with her own talents, was happy to stand beside him as a background.

”When does the summit start?” Lin Tian asked.

Sun Chuanrong promptly replied, ”On the fifth of next month, I’ll send the invitation to your home.”

”Alright, thank you, Director.”
