The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 456: Chapter 456: The Wang Family’s Motive

It turns out that Mei Ruyan is not a woman who takes care of people.

The rib soup fed into Lin Tian’s mouth was blown a few times beforehand, so it wasn’t hot. But the spoon in her hand was like a hammer, almost knocking Lin Tian’s teeth out.

After finishing the bowl of rib soup, Bai Shishi quickly came out of the bathroom, probably due to embarrassment, so she just rinsed off and changed her clothes.

How could she know, she was still seen by a lecher.

When Lin Tian saw Bai Shishi come out, the scene he had just witnessed immediately flashed through his mind.

Bai Shishi used to be a voluptuous beauty, not fat or thin, only when you touched her could you feel that special texture, making you reluctant to let go.

But over this period of time, Bai Shishi had noticeably slimmed down. She no longer had that voluptuous beauty and became much skinnier, especially highlighting the fullness in front, which was very eye-catching.

Bai Shishi, having just bathed, looked more spirited than before. Her wet hair draped over her shoulders, adding a touch of wild beauty.

”It smells so good.” Bai Shishi remarked on the fragrance in the air, immediately piqued her appetite, she sat on the sofa and opened the last layer of the thermos box.

Mei Ruyan knew Bai Shishi well and bought food that matched Bai Shishi’s taste.

Bai Shishi was evidently hungry too, but she ate gracefully, not quite to the point of slow chewing, still elegant.

Seeing Bai Shishi like this, Lin Tian laughed: ”Eat more, gain back the weight you lost. I think you look better that way.”

Bai Shishi blushed slightly, gave Lin Tian a charming glare, and pouted: ”Sweet talker, you’re always up to mischief.”

Lin Tian chuckled and didn’t continue the topic, but instead asked: ”How is the Bai Family now?”

Bai Shishi put down the chopsticks she raised, sighed, and said: ”Not very optimistic, but it’s fine now because I’m back.”

Lin Tian and Mei Ruyan exchanged a glance, not understanding what Bai Shishi meant by that.

”You came back, so you can save the current situation of the Bai Family?”

”Of course. Did you think, just relying on Xiaogang, the Sakula Country people would help him? And even lend him heavy weapons?” Bai Shishi’s tone was full of killing intent when mentioning Xiaogang.

He was once the person Bai Shishi trusted the most. Now, they were like strangers, even standing on opposing sides. What he did to Lin Tian this time, Bai Shishi could never forgive.

”Then what other reason do they have for capturing you?” Mei Ruyan asked. She knew Xiaogang was involved but didn’t know anything else.

Bai Shishi sighed and said: ”You know about the national treasures exhibited at the cultural center some time ago, right?”

Lin Tian nodded, thinking: That was my doing, how could I not know?

”Those national treasures were exhibited by the Zhuangmo Clan, but they were stolen from our country. Wang Quan played a part in the smuggling, did you ever think about where those treasures came from?”

Bai Shishi’s words seemed to open a new perspective for Lin Tian. ”You mean the Wang Family is involved in the theft of national treasures?”

”More than just involved; they did it! And not only that, they’re also involved in arms trafficking.”

Bai Shishi’s startling revelation caught Lin Tian and Mei Ruyan off guard. They never expected such things to be happening.

”How did you know?” Lin Tian looked at Bai Shishi.

”Because I have evidence of the dealings between the Wang Family and the Sakula Country people, actually obtained by coincidence. I only heard about the arms trade, but it definitely happened,” Bai Shishi said.

Mei Ruyan asked coldly: ”So this time the Sakula Country people captured you to get this evidence? And then destroy it?”

Bai Shishi nodded: ”Yes. If Xiaogang wasn’t the leader this time and still had some feelings for me, I would be dead by now. He didn’t kill me and now that you rescued me, he’s probably like a stray dog—neither we nor the Sakula Country people and the Wang Family will let him off.”

”What evidence do you have?”

Lin Tian’s heart began to heat up; if this evidence was significant enough, they would have a trump card against the Wang Family. The Bai Family’s troubles could easily be resolved.

Although currently, the public opinion against the Bai Family was significant, it was mostly just online chatter; the biggest enemy was still the Wang Family.

Although the Wang Family was just a single family, their power was not to be underestimated. If they would relent, those rumors would be nothing to the Bai Family.

”An account book and a video of their transaction. If exposed, the business empire the Wang Family built over generations would collapse in one day,” Bai Shishi said confidently.

Her tone was calm, yet it shocked Lin Tian, making him gasp.

At the same time, Lin Tian’s mind began to whirl; it was necessary to inform Chen Moxiang about this. Involving national treasures meant it was a big deal.

”Shishi, how many people know about this matter?” Lin Tian asked seriously.

Bai Shishi counted carefully and said: ”Besides the three of us, three more people know, and both the Wang Family and the Sakula Country people know about it. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have acted against me.”

”That’s good.” Lin Tian breathed a sigh of relief, then asked: ”Let’s inform Chen Moxiang about it.”

Bai Shishi knew Chen Moxiang but wasn’t familiar with her, Lin Tian’s words reminded her.

Bai Shishi thought for a moment, then nodded. ”We can, but not right now. Let’s first help our family through this difficulty. The Wang Family’s influence is too great; if we hand over the evidence directly, it could bring mutual destruction with our Bai Family.”

Lin Tian couldn’t argue with her words; he had no concept of how powerful a large family was, but their last-minute counterattacks could significantly harm the Bai Family even if they didn’t bring them down with them.

”Your dad probably doesn’t know about this yet, right?” Lin Tian asked.

If Bai Tianlong knew about this, things might not be so confusing, and they wouldn’t have been caught off guard by the Wang Family, not even knowing who the enemy was in the end.

Bai Shishi nodded: ”My dad doesn’t know yet; I haven’t told him.”

”Then that’s strange. Wouldn’t just dealing with you be enough? Why drag the Bai Family into this? The Bai Family’s power is also considerable; to oppose it, the Wang Family would have to use all their might.”

Bai Shishi shook her head: ”I don’t know. There’s something strange about it, probably with another purpose. And there’s something else you surely don’t know.”

”What?” Mei Ruyan asked.

”Du Dahai is actually a member of the Wang Family. On the surface, they seem clean, but in fact, all the dirty work is done by him, only outsiders don’t know it.”
