The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 459: Chapter 459: Who Is the Real Quack?

Not long after, Zhao Xuefeng came back, followed by Lin Tian’s attending physician. It was from his name badge that Lin Tian learned he was called Wu Neng.

Both of their expressions were quite unpleasant, flushed and pale, still panting, as if they had just had an argument.

Wu Neng saw the bandages on Lin Tian’s body had come undone and became anxious: ”Why did you take off the bandages? If something goes wrong, I’m responsible, you know that?”

Wu Neng’s temper was obviously not good; he shouted his words in anger.

”Why are you yelling? He’s your patient! Are you not supposed to be responsible?”

Zhao Xuefeng’s voice was even louder, glaring at the doctor, the two were about to start a quarrel.

”Sir, I’ve already explained his condition to you. He just had surgery the day before yesterday, and he’s out of the danger period now. He just needs some time to recuperate. Why do you have so many issues?”

Wu Neng was very impatient, turning to leave.

Zhao Xuefeng swiftly grabbed Wu Neng’s hand. Despite looking like a frail old man, he had enough strength to pull Wu Neng back.

”Then how do you explain his pulse?” Zhao Xuefeng questioned harshly.

Wu Neng was even more impatient, saying, ”Oh, you’re with ancient medicine, right? If you’re with ancient medicine, then treat him yourself. You look like a medical scammer, talking nonsense about pulse condition being contrary to his body. Are the ancient medicine scammers infiltrating the city hospital now? If you keep pestering, I’ll call the police and have you medically scammed scammers arrested!”

Wu Neng’s words ignited everyone’s anger. A few days ago, during a class meeting, Zhao Xuefeng emphasized the belief that ”the rise or fall of ancient medicine is the responsibility of everyone.” It fired everyone up, aiming to achieve great things in ancient medicine and revive it.

What were their most unwanted words to hear?

It’s accusations and denigrations of ancient medicine, and now he’s being called a medical scammer.

Would Lin Tian stand for it? Would Zhao Xuefeng stand for it?

”Are you still a person of the Celestial Dragon Continent? Adoring foreign things, diminishing the heritage passed down by your ancestors, aren’t you afraid of retribution for speaking like this? You bastard!”

Zhao Xuefeng was genuinely angry, his face deeply wrinkled with fury, pointing at Wu Neng as he cursed him harshly.

Wu Neng took two steps back, looking at the crowd’s unfriendly faces, then said in a low voice: ”What? Planning to cause trouble? I’ll call security to throw you out right now.”

”Damn it, what kind of crappy doctor are you? A person like you is fit to wear a white coat?” Meng Nan cursed as he shook his arm, looking ready to engage in a vigorous fight.

Wu Neng, instead of being scared, found it amusing, he pointed at his own head, saying: ”Come, hit me here. I’ll tell you, for every damage you cause with a punch, it’ll cost you two thousand at least per check-up, plus medical and hospitalization fees - all totaling at least a hundred thousand. Come hit me!”

Meng Nan was so angry that the flesh on his face was twitching, and at this moment, Lin Tian grabbed an apple from the fruit basket, filled it with Spiritual Qi, and fiercely hurled it.

As the apple flew through the air, it turned into a red blur, skimming just past Meng Nan’s eyebrow corner, and slammed precisely onto Wu Neng’s forehead.

What happens when we fill an apple with Spiritual Qi?

From Wu Neng’s point of view, the apple was even harder than a rock! It smashed his head dizzy, his vision filled with stars, his legs went soft, and he sat heavily on the ground.

Lin Tian had been restrained; if he had added more Spiritual Qi, Wu Neng would have fainted outright, possibly even become a vegetable.

”Get lost. How does the city central hospital have scum like you among its doctors? Don’t worry, even if you don’t report me, I’m definitely going to file a complaint about you later,” Lin Tian scolded.

Wu Neng only then finally came back to his senses, clutching his head with one hand and pointing at Lin Tian with the other, just as he was going to start cursing when Lin Tian picked up another orange, tossed it gently, scaring Wu Neng so much, he staggered to his feet and scrambled out the door.

Of course, Lin Tian wouldn’t let him off just like that; the orange was thrown out quickly and accurately, even faster and harder than before, landing directly on Wu Neng’s rear.

He let out a sharp scream in pain, nearly stumbling and falling to the ground.

”Teacher, there’s no need to bother with someone like him. It’s not worth it.” Lin Tian advised.

Zhao Xuefeng sat on the sofa, head lowered, looking dejected, arousing an inexplicable sadness in the crowd.

As one practicing ancient medicine, shouldn’t he be respected by everyone? Why was he belittled like this?

”Teacher, we will revive ancient medicine!”

Lin Tian’s voice wasn’t loud, but the determination in it was unmistakable to everyone present.

”Teacher, we will all do our best.”

”Yes, teacher, please don’t be upset anymore.”

Sisi’s eyes were already moist, gently patting Zhao Xuefeng’s back.

Zhao Xuefeng raised his head, wiping away tears from the corner of his eyes, and said gratefully, ”You’re good kids, you’re all good kids.”

”Teacher,” Lin Tian looked at Zhao Xuefeng and said, ”Please treat me! As for Wu Neng, I can’t trust him anymore.”

Zhao Xuefeng raised his head, meeting Lin Tian’s gaze for a second, stunned: ”You want me to treat you?”

Lin Tian nodded firmly: ”Yes, who says ancient medicine is inferior to Western medicine? Together, we’ll treat this with ancient medicine! Once healed, let’s see who the real quack is!”

Zhao Xuefeng stiffened, smiling bitterly: ”But I didn’t even clearly determine your pulse, how can I treat you?”

”It’s because I’ve practiced Qi Gong, so my pulse is different from ordinary people’s. It’s not your fault,” Lin Tian explained.

Zhao Xuefeng shook his head: ”But I still don’t have the confidence.”

”I have confidence! I know how to treat it, do you have silver needles?”

Lin Tian asked so because with his perspective vision, he saw the box of silver needles in Zhao Xuefeng’s pocket, perfectly timed for use.

Zhao Xuefeng nodded, simultaneously reaching into his pocket, taking out the box of silver needles.

”I have them, but I’m not fully aware of your injury’s details, it’s not easy to treat,” Zhao Xuefeng said hesitantly.

”Teacher, I know my own body. You just need to hit the acupuncture points accurately as I instruct you. It’s simple for you, right?” Lin Tian said with a smile.

Zhao Xuefeng was taken aback, ”You are confident? Lin Tian, don’t joke about this!”

Zhao Xuefeng looked into Lin Tian’s eyes, his voice very stern.

”How could I joke with my own body?”

Seeing Lin Tian’s smiling face, Zhao Xuefeng nodded, agreeing.

Zhao Xuefeng was a bit amused, never thought he’d be guided by his own student in acupuncture one day.

”Meng Nan, go get some disinfectant alcohol.” Lin Tian called out.

”Okay!” Meng Nan replied and rushed out.

”Qingcheng, Tian, can you help me take off the bandages? It’s making a big deal out of nothing, it’s not even a severe injury, and they wrapped me up so ugly. Oh... Sisi, you don’t need to come over, it’s improper for men and women to touch. No need for you to help here. If Meng Nan sees, he’d kill me. Qingcheng, leave the foot alone, that’s in a cast, this acupuncture doesn’t involve the foot...”

Under Lin Tian’s series of instructions, the bandages were finally removed, even the soft band around his chest was undone.

Finally, Liou Qingcheng helped Lin Tian take off his clothes and supported him to sit up.
