The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 438: Chapter 438: You Little Bastard

The two of them took the elevator to the seventh floor.

The seventh floor was the office area for ordinary employees of Xianglong Tea House. The employees here were responsible for running the gambling arena. Like other companies, it also had departments such as finance and sales.

The difference was, on the surface, they were all about ’tea culture’, but secretly they were responsible for the operation of the gambling arena.

If the gambling arena was implicated, everyone here couldn’t escape responsibility.

When Lin Tian arrived, he saw the employees on the seventh floor privately whispering to each other, their voices low but the discussions heated.

Evidently, everyone already knew about the Bai Family scandal and the exposure of Xianglong Tea House’s gambling arena. Everyone’s faces didn’t look good, and the entire seventh-floor atmosphere was like stagnant water, lifeless and full of unease.

Working at Xianglong Tea House not only offered high pay but also didn’t require a heavy workload. If Xianglong Tea House fell, it wouldn’t be easy for them to find a company as good as this one. Most importantly, they feared going to jail.

Mei Ruyan stood at the entrance of the office area, scanning the expressions on everyone’s faces. Finally, ’clap clap,’ she clapped her hands twice. Instantly, everyone stopped whispering and looked over.

Mei Ruyan, like a general about to march into battle, solemnly said, ”I believe everyone has already seen the news online; the Bai Family and Xianglong Tea House are about to face the biggest storm in history. During this storm, we might be crushed, or we might be reborn after surviving. I urge everyone to just focus on doing their job; that’s the biggest help to the company.”

”If we overcome this crisis, everyone’s year-end bonus will be doubled!”

No matter how brightly Mei Ruyan spoke before, it couldn’t surpass this last sentence.

Lin Tian said he wanted to unite everyone, so Mei Ruyan used the simplest method.

Money is the driving force that motivates everyone to work hard.

Then, Lin Tian and Mei Ruyan returned to the eighth floor of the company.

Here was the gambling arena of Xianglong Tea House, very spacious with comprehensive facilities. Handling so many things in a short time was evidently very challenging.

The hardest part was where to hide these things.

Time was the most precious thing for Mei Ruyan right now.

So Mei Ruyan made a call, promised various benefits, and finally got the other party to agree to delay the police operation by one night.

One night, just enough time to clear all traces from the gambling arena, so when the police came, they wouldn’t find anything.

The immediate priority was to find Bai Shishi, but there wasn’t a clue.

”Who do you think has launched this attack on the Bai Family?”

Lin Tian sat on the sofa, his brows furrowed tightly together.

Bai Shishi’s disappearance was the trigger, but this time the opponent’s methods were very clever. They didn’t expose themselves but collected some scandals of the Bai Family and, with the addition of some internet hype, made the Bai Family’s matter explode online.

Mei Ruyan also looked troubled, shook her head, and said dejectedly, ”I don’t know either. But anyone who wants to move against the Bai Family isn’t something Du Dahai could manage. Even if Du Dahai exposed so many scandals at once, the Bai Family’s network would suppress it. But this time it didn’t, which only means it’s an enemy on par with the Bai Family.”

”Who are the Bai Family’s enemies?” Lin Tian inquired further.

Mei Ruyan sighed, ”Things at that level I wouldn’t know much about; the biggest enemy I’ve faced is only Du Dahai.”

Lin Tian only felt the thoughts in his head becoming more chaotic.

Suddenly, Lin Tian’s phone rang. It was Wu Yong calling.

Lin Tian hastily answered, ”Yongzi, is there any news about Miss Bai?”

”No.” Wu Yong sounded very dejected. ”I’ve sent people out to search for clues, but haven’t found anything.”

”Keep looking!” Lin Tian said in a low voice. Being cornered like this made him very uncomfortable.

”Tian, there’s another piece of bad news.”

”What bad news?”

”The villa you just bought was trashed.”

Lin Tian frowned and asked puzzledly, ”What happened? Explain clearly.”

”You told me to send a brother to your villa to control that drunkard, so I let Tian Ming go. However, not long after Tian Ming got there, someone came to rescue him, and they were all skilled, a total of five people.”

”What happened in the end?” Lin Tian urged, not expecting this kind of thing to happen at such a critical moment.

”After the five people arrived at your villa, they went straight in and trashed it. If Tian Ming hadn’t been sharp and ran quickly, he would definitely be in their hands now.”

Lin Tian breathed a sigh of relief and asked, ”Where’s Tian Ming now?”

”He’s in the hospital now. He had a brief confrontation with the five people, was seriously injured in two rounds, and later escaped with that drunkard.”

”So Wang Sicong is still in our hands? The drunkard wasn’t rescued by those five?”

Wu Yong answered affirmatively, ”No, just that guy is very drunk, hasn’t woken up yet.”

”Very good. Now, take him and quickly move to somewhere more secluded, and have the brothers withdraw too. Oh, all forty boxes we seized last time, move them too. If it comes to a desperate situation, use them.”

”No way, Tian, is the situation that serious?”

Wu Yong gasped in surprise, things have escalated to the point of using weapons?

”Don’t doubt my words, just hurry and do it,” Lin Tian urged.

”Understood.” After saying this, Wu Yong hung up the phone and started following Lin Tian’s instructions to begin the transfer.

Seeing Lin Tian’s concerned expression and the tone he had, Mei Ruyan became even more nervous. ”What happened now?”

Lin Tian tightly gripped his phone, did not answer, but was carefully thinking. Seeing him like this, Mei Ruyan didn’t interrupt.

Wang Sicong’s background was mysterious, and his family held shares in Du Dahai’s hotel. There must be some connection between these two. Now Bai Shishi has disappeared, and Wang Sicong wanted to harm him; even the Bai Family was affected.

Summing up this whole series of events, Wang Sicong definitely had some involvement.

After a long time, Lin Tian finally asked, ”Do you know a person named Wang Sicong?”

Mei Ruyan shook her head, ”What’s the matter?”

Then, Lin Tian briefly explained to Mei Ruyan about Wang Sicong.

In the end, the two discussed and came to a conclusion: this time, the Bai Family’s disaster is likely connected to Wang Sicong. It’s just that they still don’t know what his background actually is.

”I need to talk to Bai Tianlong,” Lin Tian said.

Mei Ruyan didn’t hesitate, took out her phone, dialed Bai Tianlong’s number, then handed it to Lin Tian.

After a long time, the call finally connected. Bai Tianlong immediately asked, ”Is it Miss Mei? Have you found Shishi?”

Lin Tian took a deep breath and said, ”There’s still no news about Shishi for now, but don’t worry, I think we’ll find her soon.”

On the other end of the phone, Bai Tianlong was silent for two seconds, then roared, ”Lin Tian! You little bastard!”
