The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 433: Chapter 433: The Rise and Fall of Traditional Medicine Is Everyone’s Responsibility

University is different from high school; there are no fixed classrooms.

Each class is in a different classroom, and today’s class meeting is held in a temporarily selected medium-sized classroom that can accommodate 150 people.

When Lin Tian arrived, the classroom was already filled with many people. Lin Tian glanced around and noticed not only his classmates but also those from Class 43, indicating that this was a combined meeting.

Unlike high school, everyone preferred to sit at the back. In a classroom for 150 people, the front was sparsely populated with only a few girls sitting there, while the rest crowded the back, filling up the last three rows.

Meng Nan also wanted to squeeze into the back but was stopped by Lin Tian, who chose a spot in the middle by the window.

Gradually, more and more students came, and after the four from Liou Qingcheng’s dorm arrived, they sat right in front of Lin Tian and his friends.

Wang Sicong’s eyes went wide, and he patted Lin Tian’s shoulder saying, ”See that? Even if I pretend to be a loser, beauties still come my way.”

Lin Tian was speechless. Just as Wang Sicong was about to greet the girls in front, the girl with the bun hairstyle turned around.

”Lin Tian, you owe our dorm a meal,” Sisi straightforwardly said.

Wang Sicong was taken aback. He hadn’t even greeted them, and they were already talking to Lin Tian, seemingly quite familiar.

Lin Tian looked at her puzzled, ”Why?”

”You’ve wooed away my good friend; treating us to a meal is already a bargain for you.”

After saying this, Sisi lowered her voice significantly and said softly, ”If possible, bring a few handsome guys. That wooden head is unnecessary.”

Lin Tian laughed and patted Wang Sicong, saying, ”Look, here’s one. He’s Wang Sicong, who missed out on the military training.”

Sisi shifted from the left to the right, sized him up, and gave her evaluation, ”Hmm, looks okay. But you and Lin Tian and the wooden head are of the same type.”

Wang Sicong was stunned, ”Who’s the wooden head?”

Sisi replied, ”It’s Meng Nan.”

”In what way are the three of us the same?”

”You’re all losers!”

Wang Sicong burst out laughing. Wearing clothes bought from a street stall, he didn’t expect the effect to be so obvious!

At this moment, Zhao Xuefeng walked in with a laptop. He stood on the podium, scanned the room with his eyes, and then spoke into the microphone, ”What’s your attitude! Everyone move to the front, not a single seat should be left empty!”

Despite Zhao Xuefeng being a sixty-year-old short elder, he didn’t hold back when he got angry. The students who were laughing and talking at the back slowly moved to the front.

As a result, Lin Tian’s seat became the second-to-last row.

Zhao Xuefeng cleared his throat and then smiled, ”First of all, I owe everyone an apology. Some matters arose at my home during your first few days of school, so this class meeting was delayed until now.”

”Alright, let’s start with tonight’s class meeting. Some of you may not know me. I’m your counselor, Zhao Xuefeng.”

After speaking, Zhao Xuefeng picked up a piece of chalk and wrote his name and phone number boldly on the blackboard.

He tossed the chalk onto the desk and continued, ”Note down my phone number. From 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, do not call me unless it’s an emergency.”

”After a week of military training, I can see that you’ve all gained some experience. I hope you can maintain that vigor. Now, let me introduce our major, Ancient Medicine. Who can tell me what you think Ancient Medicine entails?”

”Herbs, very bitter.”

”Acupuncture is magical.”

”And cupping.”

”Massage.”

Seeing everyone eagerly answering, Zhao Xuefeng smiled and gestured for everyone to quiet down.

”What you’ve said isn’t wrong, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg. The thousands of years of traditional medicine in Celestial Dragon Continent are our treasures. It mainly studies human physiology, pathology, and the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. It originated in primitive society and took shape during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods.”

”It is profound and interesting, with knowledge waiting for you to explore. At the beginning of your studies, you may be confused and in pain because there is so much to learn.”

”However, I hope you take it seriously because many people, under the guise of Ancient Medicine, are out there swindling. I detest such people as they tarnish our national reputation, to the point that even we don’t dare to trust it.”

”I hope you achieve real mastery. If you’re only half-baked, I won’t allow nor let you graduate. ’Teaching without strictness is the teacher’s negligence.’ This is my responsibility. I won’t allow anyone to insult Ancient Medicine! Lastly, a heads-up, I will be strict, even stricter than your high school teachers. And I won’t allow you to skip classes, not even one.”

”Being my student is both your fortune and misfortune because it’s too arduous. If anyone can’t bear the hardship, after the class meeting ends, you can transfer to another counselor’s class or switch majors, and I can help you with that.”

”Finally, I hope you all remember one thing: the rise and fall of Ancient Medicine is every man’s duty!”

When Zhao Xuefeng said these words, he was filled with righteous indignation, very serious, pressing the whole classroom’s atmosphere heavily.

Everyone listened carefully to his speech; they probably didn’t expect that the amiable-looking elder would be so stern.

”Clap, clap...”

Suddenly, someone in the quiet classroom began clapping. Then there was thunderous applause, and everyone clapped vigorously.

Zhao Xuefeng looked at everyone with satisfaction, gestured for silence, and then said, ”I don’t need your applause. I just hope you remember my words and cherish Ancient Medicine.”

”Alright, there is one more important thing today, which is the election of class officers. Let me clarify in advance: there’s no salary for being a class officer, at most you’ll earn some extra credits. It’s mainly an opportunity for you to develop yourselves, and it can also benefit you in future jobs.”

”I initially wanted to elect class officers based on your performance in military training, but everyone performed well. So, nominate yourselves. Whoever wants to run for a position, come to the podium, write your name on the blackboard, and it’s best to tell everyone your strengths or why you want to be elected. Let’s start with Class 42.”

Because of the inspiring words from Zhao Xuefeng, the atmosphere on site was warm and lively. Quite a number of students went up to the podium, wrote their names down, and started giving speeches about their reasons.

Some were stage-shy, others were confident, but all received enthusiastic applause.
