The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 418: Chapter 418: Military Boxing

Kanyue City Medical University, the playground.

”One, two, one, one, two, one, one, two, one... Sun Qian, don’t wave your hands around, Li Mingming, keep up with the rhythm... halt!”

As soon as the command to halt was given, everyone stopped, but their movements were uneven and chaotic, with even some people bumping into each other.

Marching in step is a collective exercise and a very important part of training because when the military training ends in a few days, both the school and the military leaders will come for an inspection.

At that time, marching in step is the first event of the parade. If you can’t even walk properly, how can you expect to do well in other training subjects?

The bonfire party last night revealed another side of Mr. Liu. He actually likes to laugh and joke.

But when training everyone, Mr. Liu is like a ’black-faced god,’ with hawk-like sharp eyes and a booming voice. He can spot and point out mistakes instantly, no matter who makes them.

In the class of thirty-seven, he can call everyone by name except Wang Sicong. It’s a mystery how he remembers everyone.

Being called by Mr. Liu during military training is like being sentenced to death, because it means you either made a mistake or have to demonstrate something for the group.

Mr. Liu’s gaze swept over everyone sharply and finally stopped at Lin Tian. ”Lin Tian! Step forward!”

Lin Tian ran forward to stand in front of the class, neither humble nor arrogant, with small quick steps, and stood straight.

As soon as he stood there, Liou Qingcheng made a silly face at him, and both Meng Nan and Li grinned wickedly. It looked like the second-in-command was in trouble.

”Do you know why I called you out?” Mr. Liu stood with the sun to his back, making his face look even darker.

”Report, I don’t know!” Lin Tian replied loudly.

”Heh, don’t be nervous. I just want you to perform a set of Military Boxing as a demonstration for everyone.”

Lin Tian was stunned. He didn’t expect being called out was for this reason. He thought to himself triumphantly: Could it be that my looks are too handsome or my boxing too excellent, that’s why I’ve been asked to demonstrate?

Mr. Liu surely has a keen eye, picking me out like this. After all, I am a lower-tier Martial Artist.

This Military Boxing is a piece of cake.

There are three sets of Military Boxing, and Class 42 has been practicing the first set, characterized by foundational combat skills, refined movements with meanings of attack and self-defense. It consists of sixteen moves.

Following Mr. Liu’s instructions, Lin Tian began moving under the scorching sun.

He took a step forward with his left foot into a bow stance. Meanwhile, he pulled back his left fist to his waist and threw his right fist forward with the palm facing down, thrusting fiercely from the waist.

This move is called a bow step punch, capable of attacking the face, chest, and abdomen.

Lin Tian’s punch was fast and powerful. If it hit an ordinary person, it would surely break several ribs.

Just when Lin Tian was satisfied with himself, Mr. Liu shouted loudly, ”Stop! Hold that position!”

Lin Tian froze in his bow stance, holding his punch, not moving an inch.

Mr. Liu walked over and flashed a grin at Lin Tian.

Lin Tian had a bad feeling. Based on past experience, if Mr. Liu smiled during training, it meant someone was in for a tough time.

Standing next to Lin Tian, Mr. Liu said, ”You’re exuding a lot of killing intent.”

Lin Tian was taken aback. He didn’t expect that a single punch would be enough for the instructor to notice. A soldier’s intuition is really sharp.

Mr. Liu suddenly grasped Lin Tian’s arm, lifted it slightly, then pressed Lin Tian’s right leg forming the bow stance lower.

”Everyone, look, this is the standard posture for the first move. Although Lin Tian’s earlier form looked showy, it lacked essence. I hope everyone can make their movements more standard.”

Lin Tian was inwardly grimacing—so this is what they wanted me for, to be the instructional example?

Not only Lin Tian felt speechless, but others also complained quietly. After all, Lin Tian’s was the best in the class, yet Mr. Liu still found so many faults. How could anyone else hope to meet the standard then?

Mr. Liu ignored the complaints and said to Lin Tian, ”Continue.”

The second move was called the throat-piercing kick. Stretch the left palm forward fiercely, retract the right fist to the waist, at the same time, lift the right leg, point the toe down firmly, and kick forward powerfully, then immediately retract it.

”Stop!”

Mr. Liu called out again, then adjusted Lin Tian’s posture, saying, ”This is correct. Move on to the next move.”

All sixteen moves were performed, and Mr. Liu pointed out issues with every single one.

At first, Lin Tian was unconvinced. Does a lower-tier Martial Artist like me need such guidance?

But as it went on, Lin Tian was more and more astonished because each correct posture significantly enhanced his explosive power, causing him to pay more attention to the details of his movements.

When Lin Tian finished the whole set, Mr. Liu finally said, ”I know you probably feel unconvinced, because purely in terms of explosiveness and speed, even three of me couldn’t beat you.”

This remark from Mr. Liu caused the whole class to gasp.

Is the elite soldier serving in the army unable to beat Lin Tian? And three against one? Is he exaggerating?

After the praise, Mr. Liu added, ”But wrong is wrong when it comes to posture. I can see your skills are impressive, but your training is limited; you might not feel it now, but eventually, you will realize the seriousness. Correct posture isn’t only about appearance; it aims to better realize your strength.”

Lin Tian’s mind kept replaying the Military Boxing routine he had just performed, pondering and reflecting on it all.

Lin Tian’s mind held thousands of cultivation techniques, but they were mostly ancient martial arts. Lin Tian wasn’t interested in those and had chosen to practice ”Tyrant Emperor’s Record”.

Because cultivating ”Tyrant Emperor’s Record” allowed him to comprehensively enhance himself, whether in physical fitness or other aspects.

Yet Lin Tian overlooked a crucial part of being a Martial Artist, the foundation.

Should I also choose an ancient martial technique to cultivate?

A thought flashed through Lin Tian’s mind, but it disappeared just as quickly.

After some time, when the ancient martial family holds their auction, he planned to observe the kind of martial arts they practiced, then decide.

In the following time, Lin Tian continued standing in front of the class, leading everyone in repeating each move.

Lin Tian’s muscles remembered the standard actions he just performed, so every time he repeated, his actions were nearly perfect.

Mr. Liu watched his moves from the side and smiled broadly. This Lin Tian was indeed not ordinary.

Maybe others didn’t notice, but Mr. Liu saw it clearly. Under Lin Tian’s influence, everyone’s movements gradually became more standard.

The previously disorganized Military Boxing transformed into something uniform and awe-inspiring.
