Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space

Chapter 694: 694 Adoption

How can a mother not be heartbroken? Now Liu Guilan regrets it, the child being taken away makes her feel like she’s lost the most important thing.

Her mom doesn’t care for her anymore, this daughter was indecisive since she was young; luckily, she’s good-looking and found a good family.

Although she doesn’t like the old witch, if she really had tormented the daughter, there wouldn’t be any. It’s just that her words are unpleasant.

”Mom, I don’t want it. I regret it.”

”Think it over clearly yourself, don’t blame us later.” The old woman rolled her eyes. It’s always like this; if she weren’t her biological daughter, who would bother with her?

Jiang Xinyu, at the other end of the curtain, also heard Liu Guilan’s words. She didn’t care much. Raising them was fine; not raising them was okay too.

Just thought that raising two together wasn’t bad. As for affection or fate, she hadn’t really thought about it.

Finished the pig trotter soup, and just felt a bit bloated; meanwhile, the son was sleeping soundly. Why hasn’t the child’s father returned?

Wei Kaiyun, whom Jiang Xinyu was thinking about, was at the police station. Adoption now was simple, as long as both parties agreed, agreements weren’t even necessary; there wasn’t any talk of illegality.

However, Wei Kaiyun feared future troubles, so he asked the police to write up an adoption document.

Tian Dajiang had no objections; he was someone who valued reputation and would never do something like asking for the child back.

Having initially abandoned this child, in the future, it would be as if he never had one.

Both signed the document, and the child’s name Jiang Tingting was finalized in the agreement. But this wasn’t over; the women from both families still needed to sign, which was Wei Kaiyun’s requirement.

Better safe than sorry; they worried about women causing trouble later on.

The two walked out of the police station only to see many officers dispatched.

Wei Kaiyun walked to the door, ”Sir, what’s going on? Why so many people?”

”Seems a family lost five men, heard their deaths were quite horrific.”

Wei Kaiyun frowned, has it been found out? Heard five are dead, not sure if the woman is among them; if she is, no chance to ask her any questions anymore.

The two left the police station and went directly back to the hospital.

Upon entering the ward, Wei Kaiyun saw his wife pulling the curtain and hurriedly went over.

”You’re back? I want to go to the restroom.”

”I’ll hold you.”

”No, just sit and watch the child.”

Wei Kaiyun knew his wife feared losing the child; before coming to the hospital, she repeatedly said it was easy to lose children there.

Hurriedly put shoes on his wife to support her getting off the bed.

Jiang Xinyu had actually recovered somewhat, apart from feeling weak and a bit of pain, there were no other issues.

Wei Kaiyun didn’t put his wife at ease, fearing she’d get angry: his wife once said that no matter what, someone mustn’t leave the child unattended.

When Jiang Xinyu returned, she didn’t draw back the curtain, ”That side regrets.”

Wei Kaiyun raised his eyebrows; they lacked no children; regret was regret. He didn’t want to cause trouble, just his wife had such thoughts.

”You take the child to them, I’m tired and want to sleep for a while.”

”Get some good rest.”

Jiang Xinyu smiled and closed her eyes; with her son beside her, she felt at ease.

Wei Kaiyun picked up the girl, bypassed the curtain, and placed her directly on the bed.

Tian Dajiang also knew his wife regretted it. Actually, initially, he never thought about giving the child away; it was his wife’s suggestion. Now that everything was done, she regretted it. Truly helpless.

”Lanzi, if you’re unwilling, we’ll raise her ourselves; Da Ling is six years old now and can take care of the younger one. Our mom just has a sharp tongue; she wouldn’t really watch a child starve.”

Always drag the child up; stop crying now. Before considered the wife delicate and gentle; living together for so long now, slightly annoyed; anything unpleasant, only cry. What use is crying?

”Da Jiang, I want to raise her.”

”Alright, listen to you; stop crying.”

Liu Guilan’s mom eventually said nothing; mothers know this pain.

However, she was powerless; her eldest daughter-in-law was not ordinary; if she truly watched the child for her daughter, she certainly wouldn’t agree.

She needed her sons’ support in the future, couldn’t disobey them; also, had three children at home to care for, truly overwhelmed.

Wei Kaiyun sat on the bench, watching his wife and son, while thinking about the woman.

He had only caught a glimpse through a gap, not knowing how many people were inside.

Actually, he had many questions he wanted to ask her.

Sigh, maybe destined to know only this much.

Tian Dajiang finally calmed his wife, watched her sleep, then awkwardly smiled at his mother-in-law. ”Mom, there’s much to do at home; you should go back.”

”Alright, when truly busy, bring the child to me; you know your elder sister-in-law’s ways, one or two days is okay, over time she won’t.”

”Yeah, got it. Mom, I know what to do.”

At this moment, the ward only has six people from both families.

Wei Kaiyun hadn’t opened the curtain, knowing his wife was asleep.

Jiang Xinyu slept for an hour, waking up feeling physically much better.

”Are you tired? Also get on the bed and rest for a while?”

”No need, it’s fine. Right, when I went to the police station and saw many officers had left; asked, and found a family lost five men.”

Jiang Xinyu understood what Wei Kaiyun meant, since she also heard what happened.

”The county is uneasy now; tomorrow, we’ll ask the doctor. If possible, let’s discharge and go home.”

”Listen to the doctor’s advice.”

”I know; I feel I’ve recovered well, too inconvenient here.

Besides that, Shi Jing and the three others must be anxious.”

”Haha, those three would be disappointed; not the sister they’re talking about.”

”Don’t say that in the future; it’s unfair to my son. Even though Shi Xian is still small, he’s already an independent individual.”

”Okay, saw the ceramic jar, it’s not hot; off to the kitchen to ask for reheating help.”

Jiang Xinyu nodded, best to drink it, recover quickly, discharge and go home.

The little one woke up, whimpering, Jiang Xinyu smiled watching his father serve him.

After the little one ate, he closed his eyes and fell asleep again.

Wei Kaiyun served his wife some pig trotter soup, finishing the rest himself.

It really tasted awful, having eaten it during Feifei’s birth, too.

Jiang Xinyu watched Wei Kaiyun eating the pig trotter soup with a blank expression and admired him.

”Sister-in-law Li will deliver fish soup tonight.”

”Darling, have Sister-in-law Li make chicken soup tomorrow.”
