Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

”Such gentle and nonchalant nature makes her even more attractive to boys, so many pursued her in the class and even in the school...”

Joshua Floyd spoke, his voice becoming increasingly somber, took a sip of his drink, and continued, ”Nicole was probably being taken care of by you back then, right? She would have a car pick her up and drop her off from school every day. And Nicole always maintained a distant and rejecting attitude towards the boys in the class, except for me, she was aloof towards every boy. This made some of the boys who couldn’t pursue her hate her.”

”Thus, rumors about Nicole being maintained spread throughout the class and even the school, everyone was discussing her, pointing fingers behind her back. Her approach to handling this was to ignore it, maintaining a detached attitude. I once asked her why she didn’t explain, she said, ’Mouths are on others, ears are on herself, if others want to slander her, that’s their business, she just won’t listen.’”

”At that time, I felt Nicole was so composed, as if she were above worldly concerns. The closer I got to Nicole, and after we became good friends, I asked her how she developed such an indifferent temperament. She answered me, ’I’ve gone through pain a thousand times more hurtful and painful than this, I’m already numb, so these things do not harm me.’

”Thinking about it now, the pain she mentioned was probably referring to the year she was sixteen when her mother passed away, seventeen when her brother died, and eighteen when she got involved with you. Those flower-like years she endured pain that nobody could fathom. Her mother and brother had just passed away, and she gave herself to you, you who were the murderer of her brother at that time...”

”During one of our heart-to-heart talks, I jokingly asked her if she was really being maintained. She lowered her gaze and softly said ’yes’... I was silent for a while and looked at her asking if she ever liked you... she quietly replied, ’Cannot love, the one person in the world who cannot be loved is him, I won’t love, I will never fall in love with him’...”

Joshua Floyd spoke, took a gulp of his drink and looked at Jose Floyd who had been drinking, his eyes becoming deeply intense, ”When Nicole said those words, she hesitated for a long time, her voice was very low, she didn’t dare to lift her eyes to look at me. Actually, thinking about it now... she probably had already fallen for you when she was with you, but she was always forcing herself not to love you, not to feel for you, because you were an enemy, someone who couldn’t be loved.”

Jose Floyd clutched the bottle tightly in his hand, unable to conceal the grief and pain in his heart and eyes, his eyes a deep red and glistening.

”I remember one of the clearest things was, when choosing a field of study, I chose cardiology and asked her to join me, she shook her head and said, ’I prefer studying trauma treatment,’ at that time I didn’t think much of it, only vaguely heard her mumbling, ’He’s always getting injured’...”

”Another time, after class I saw her staring blankly at a necklace while sitting in her seat. As I walked over to ask her what was wrong, I heard her repeatedly uttering a phrase, ’Why must it be you, why did you have to kill him, why is it you’...”

Joshua Floyd finished speaking, looked at Jose Floyd and pressed his lips together, ”Back then, Nicole didn’t not love you, she was scared to love, couldn’t love. Because she thought you were the murderer of her brother... even though she buried endless hatred for you deep in her heart, she couldn’t help but think of your frequent injuries, she studied trauma treatment to take care of you! That kind of torment of loving but forcing herself not to love, coupled with Wade’s death overshadowing everything, do you know how conflicted and helpless Nicole was then?”
