Chapter 498: Chapter 498: Susan Saxton and Arlo Seys Face Off [1]

Meanwhile, Camden, who had been monitoring outside, immediately called Ariel Morris at Clearflower Estate.

Camden: ”Miss Ariel, something happened, Susan Saxton and two men were taken by a group of police officers.”

Standing on the balcony without moving for hours, Ariel Morris’s body stiffened, and with slightly cold fingertips holding the phone, she urgently spoke to Camden on the other end: ”Where’s Arlo? Where is he?”

Camden replied in a deep voice: ”Young Master Seys left earlier, along with Second Young Master Sutherland and Young Master Haynes.”

”Brother Dawn and Nico Haynes...” Ariel Morris’s lips parted slightly, her voice low and heavy, ”Camden, I understand. Try to find out what crime Susan Saxton committed! Also, see if there’s any trace left in the hotel and clean everything up! Make sure to erase all traces Arlo, Dawn Sutherland, and Nico Haynes might have accidentally left!”

Camden replied respectfully: ”Yes, Miss Ariel, I understand!”

Ariel Morris hung up the phone, pacing back and forth on the balcony, her mind heavy with worry.

Arlo, you must come out of this unharmed. Didn’t we agree that you wouldn’t get involved?! Why do you have to be so foolish?!

Did you notice my plan to take revenge on Susan Saxton at last night’s banquet, so you acted in advance? Arlo...

No wonder he told her to wait and not to act first; he was avenging her.

Ariel Morris recalled what Arlo Seys had said to her at the banquet last night: ”Don’t act, don’t change, don’t let hatred destroy you.”

”There will be retribution; they will all get what they deserve. I want my Ariel to always stay the same; your innocence and smile are things I want to protect at all costs. If you change, how will I find you? Ariel, for me, don’t let hatred destroy your smile, okay?”

So, he did all this to protect her smile and innocence, wanting her to be happy and carefree.

Ariel Morris stood on the balcony, gazing at the bright moonlight, her eyes moist, softly whispering: ”Arlo Seys is the warmest sunshine in Ariel Morris’s life.”

So, you must be alright, stay well...

Police station.

The second unit’s police officers escorted Susan Saxton, Alex Holland, and Levi Sutton into the interrogation room for questioning.

Arlo Seys watched Susan Saxton in the interrogation room on the screen from the conference room, his eyes fierce and ruthless.

Susan Saxton, you hurt my child, hurt my wife, this is my revenge on you!

I, Arlo Seys, am not a kind-hearted person. When someone harms those I care about, I will make them pay double the cost!

On the screen, Susan Saxton’s face was pale, clothes disheveled, loudly denying all the facts.

”The necklace was a gift from Arlo Seys! I don’t know what’s going on with the drugs! They’re not mine! The person who invited me to the hotel was Arlo Seys!!”

In the conference room, the deputy director looked somewhat troubled at the person who remained silent with a stern face, the aloof and indifferent Arlo Seys whom he feared the most. The involvement of the Seys Family’s Crown Prince left him utterly speechless regarding whether what Susan Saxton said was true or not.

Arlo Seys surveyed the deputy director’s every emotional change with the corner of his eye. Just as the deputy director’s inner conflict and anxiety grew, Arlo Seys stood up, looking at the deputy director, his presence towering and dignified.

The deputy director was caught off guard by Arlo Seys’s sudden gaze, immediately lowering his head, speaking respectfully and courteously, ”Young Master Seys, how do you think this matter should be handled?”

Arlo Seys cast a cold and distant glance at the deputy director, ”I’m just here to report a crime, how would I know how to handle it? This is your police department’s business. I’m going to the interrogation room to confront them and clear my name, to save you, deputy director, the trouble.”

The deputy director couldn’t have wished for anything better, making a gesture of invitation to Arlo Seys with a flattering smile, ”Young Master Seys, please.”
