Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Luo Lie paused for a moment in thought, then nodded and said, ”Alright, I’ll call and ask around for you, see if there’s any expert from the Capital skilled in explosives and assassination who has left.”

With that, Luo Lie directly took out his phone and began speaking in a casual tone.

In fact, according to Shadow Sword’s rules, a request like Lu Yu’s wouldn’t be allowed at all.

Shadow Sword’s internal regulations strictly prohibit privately leaking any personnel information externally, nor could they use Shadow Sword’s resources to investigate anything for someone outside the organization.

However, Luo Lie wasn’t concerned with these rules now.

Because currently, Shadow Sword and Lu Yu’s Assassin Alliance are in a cooperative relationship, Luo Lie needs to gain Lu Yu’s trust, and he knows very well that this matter is Lu Yu’s way of testing Shadow Sword.

After all, with the Assassin Alliance’s capabilities, they would not lag behind Shadow Sword in investigating this kind of matter, yet Lu Yu asked Luo Lie to look into it, indicating Lu Yu was testing Shadow Sword’s cooperation attitude.

”Wait”

Seeing Luo Lie take out his phone, Lu Yu smirked slightly, chuckled, and said, ”The opponent’s homemade explosive device, though crude, was executed professionally, like someone with professional training. I suggest you start screening through official teams first.”

Lu Yu had only glanced briefly at the homemade C4 device earlier, but its appearance was etched clearly in his mind.

While the device was crudely made, you could still see the professional method in its execution, with neatly arranged wiring, unlike the chaotic distribution you’d expect from a self-taught individual.

Thus, with this point alone, Lu Yu could determine the opponent must have undergone professional training in this area!

”Understood!”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Luo Lie responded, immediately dialing a number on the phone, and said, ”This is Luo Lie. Help me check if any experts in explosives and assassination from the Capital’s official organization have recently come to Lin’an City.”

As he spoke, Luo Lie’s voice was low but each word was very clear, sounding very professional.

”Received, please hold on”

A voice from the phone instantly responded to Luo Lie.

”No problem”

Upon hearing this, Luo Lie replied plainly, appearing composed and unhurried, while signaling to Lu Yu that he is querying, to which Lu Yu simply nodded in understanding.

”Got it!”

Several minutes later, a voice on the phone said, ”Just yesterday afternoon, Ye Qing from the Capital suddenly had a task to go to Lin’an City.”

”Ye Qing?!”

The words made Luo Lie’s body slightly tense, his face showing a bit of shock: ”Are you sure it’s Ye Qing?”

In his words, Luo Lie’s tone was full of shock, evidently very surprised, not expecting that the person going to Lin’an this time would actually be Ye Qing!

Looking at the visibly shocked Luo Lie, Lu Yu remained silent, only watching him, waiting for him to finish the phone call before discussing the matter.

”No mistake, the available records show only Ye Qing fits the characteristics of being skilled in explosives and assassination.”

The voice on the phone continued, its words full of definite confirmation.

”Alright, I understand, thank you”

Upon hearing these words, Luo Lie directly hung up the phone, looked up at Lu Yu, and said, ”You’re right, this time you’re dealing with a tough one, it’s Ye Qing from the Capital who departed for Lin’an City yesterday afternoon.”

”Ye Qing?”

The words made Lu Yu’s expression slightly pause, then he said, ”What’s his background?”

”Ye Qing is quite exceptional, a formidable figure in the Capital, known as the King, adept in stealth tracking, assassination, infiltration, explosives, and a series of techniques, carrying out hundreds of missions without a single failure, exceedingly capable, and a jack of all trades.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Luo Lie replied, ”More importantly, he is under Jiang Tianyi!”

Between his words, Luo Lie’s gaze was heavy, his demeanor very earnest, evidently very familiar with Ye Qing.

”Oh?”

Upon hearing Luo Lie’s comment, Lu Yu smiled faintly, his face showing a hint of intrigue: ”King? Interesting, yesterday afternoon he departed, and today morning he gave me such a big greeting gift, since that’s the case, I’m even more interested in playing with him!”

In his words, Lu Yu’s expression was filled with iciness and solemnity, carrying a dash of intrigue.

Given that the so-called King was sent by the Jiang Family, and since Lu Yu slightly scared Jiang Angge yesterday morning, he basically could deduce that this so-called King Ye Qing was summoned by Jiang Angge!

”Play with him?”

The words made Luo Lie’s body tense slightly, then he said, ”How do you plan to play with him, if it was a nobody, so be it, but the opponent is the renowned King Ye Qing from the Capital, incredibly formidable, don’t do anything too rash!”

”Don’t worry, I’ve encountered many so-called Kings”

Upon hearing Luo Lie’s words, Lu Yu chuckled coldly, adding a few ice cubes to his glass, then poured himself a drink, after sipping lightly, he said, ”But they all ended up being downed by me without exception!”

”So, this time whether it’s King Ye Qing or anyone else, I want him to realize what a foolish decision he’s made!”

In his words, Lu Yu casually swirled the drink in his hand, his tone filled with intrigue.

”Given that, just be cautious yourself”

Hearing this, Luo Lie appeared somewhat resigned, he also poured himself a drink, swirling it in his hand, speaking in resignation.

He knew well he could not persuade or stop Lu Yu, for once Lu Yu decides on something, he’d never be intercepted.

”Alright”

After sipping his drink, Lu Yu spoke casually, ”Courtesy demands reciprocation, my matters are spoken of, what about yours? I assume calling me here for a drink isn’t merely out of a craving for alcohol, is it?”

Lu Yu knew well that Luo Lie was a pragmatic person, anything that could be said over the phone wouldn’t need an in-person meeting. Thus, judging from the situation, Lu Yu surmised Luo Lie had something inconvenient to discuss over the phone, warranting a face-to-face conversation.

Thus, Lu Yu spoke directly, wanting to see what matters Luo Lie had to discuss with him.
