Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

As time passed by minute by minute, fifty minutes had gradually slipped by. At this moment, the atmosphere in the meeting room grew increasingly oppressive. Although there was no apparent change on the faces of Leng Qingqiu and Xia Bing, they were secretly murmuring to themselves in their hearts.

After all, by now, fifty minutes had passed with only ten minutes remaining until the agreed time, and the so-called representative of the Newman Group had yet to arrive, which indeed caused some subtle worry in their hearts.

In contrast, Lu Yu sat there calmly sipping tea, appearing completely composed and unconcerned, as if he wasn’t worried about the matter at all.

Liu Qiguang looked at Lu Yu’s composed demeanor, smiled slightly, and then spoke, ”I have to say, Manager Lu, you really know how to keep your cool. Now, there are only ten minutes left until the hour you mentioned, yet the Newman Group’s representative hasn’t arrived. At this point, you can still leisurely drink tea. Your mental fortitude is quite admirable.”

In Liu Qiguang’s view, Lu Yu was destined to fail this time, which made his words full of pride, accompanied by a hint of sarcasm.

”My mental fortitude doesn’t require your concern, President Liu.”

Upon hearing Liu Qiguang’s words, Lu Yu smiled slightly and said, ”What you should be worrying about now is how to avoid being recognized when you kneel later!”

Lu Yu’s words were calm, giving Liu Qiguang no face at all.

Pfft!

Upon hearing this, Xia Bing couldn’t help but laugh out loud, her pretty face looking particularly cute.

”You!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Liu Qiguang’s expression changed, as if he had swallowed a dead fly, suddenly not knowing how to respond.

Buzz!

Just then, Lu Yu’s phone suddenly rang. Lu Yu glanced at his phone and saw that it was Wu Song calling.

”Hello, what’s up?”

Pressing the call button, Lu Yu’s voice remained calm as he spoke.

”Boss, there’s a guy named Nelson at the door who wants to see you.”

As soon as Lu Yu spoke, Wu Song’s voice came through, ”Should we let him in?”

”Take a few guys and bring him to the eighth floor.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu casually glanced at the clock in the reception room, noting that fifty-five minutes had passed, with five minutes left until the agreed time.

”No problem, boss!”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wu Song immediately agreed and hung up the phone.

Nelson, with his own hands and feet, originally didn’t need anyone to escort him, but Lu Yu had Wu Song and the others come up entirely to ensure that Liu Qiguang fulfilled his bet later!

Considering Liu Qiguang’s character, he didn’t seem like someone who would properly fulfill a bet, so Lu Yu needed some assurance.

”President Liu, the Newman Group’s representative is here. I suggest you start thinking about the best kneeling posture so as not to be recognized, given that Jincheng Technology isn’t small!”

Lu Yu now looked at Liu Qiguang in front of him, speaking with a tone full of amusement.

”Hmph, even if the representative is here, it can’t change the fact that your contract has been torn up!”

Even now, Liu Qiguang remained stubborn, wholly disbelieving Lu Yu’s words, thinking they were merely renegotiating the contract with the Newman Group.

After all, he had a friend in the Newman Group whose information he believed couldn’t be false!

Therefore, Liu Qiguang remained quite defiant.

”Well, let’s just wait and see!”

Upon hearing Liu Qiguang’s words, Lu Yu spoke with a smile.

...

A few minutes later, the elevator slowly opened, and Nelson, led by Wu Song and several security guards, entered the reception room. At this moment, Lu Yu, Leng Qingqiu, and Xia Bing couldn’t help but be stunned when they saw Nelson.

Nelson appeared as if he had been pulled out of a pot, his face flushed and drenched in sweat, looking extremely disheveled.

Even his expensive suit was now wrinkled from the sweat, looking neither here nor there, quite comical.

In reality, it wasn’t Nelson’s fault. Lin’an City was in the summer, the place where Nelson had been stuck in traffic was about eight kilometers away from the Victory Group, and Nelson had sprinted the entire way to Victory Group!

An eight-kilometer distance is quite far, and it’s challenging for someone who doesn’t exercise regularly to cover that.

In a state of trepidation, Nelson, dressed in a suit, had run the eight kilometers to Victory Group, illustrating his sheer panic.

Now, Nelson was panting heavily, appearing extremely fatigued, as if he were an exhausted old dog in the summer.

”Wu Song, what are you waiting for? Go get a drink from the cooler.”

Seeing Nelson’s disheveled state, Leng Qingqiu frowned and spoke, her words tinged with curiosity.

After all, Nelson was the President of the Newman Group. Why would he be in such a dismal state?

Even Liu Qiguang was utterly stunned. As a professional in advanced tech products, how could he not recognize Nelson?

Seeing the prestigious Nelson so worn out at Victory Group like a pitiful fool, was utterly shocking to him.

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Wu Song immediately fetched a sports drink from the cooler and handed it to Nelson.

Having sprinted eight kilometers, Nelson was parched. When he saw the sports drink, he immediately twisted open the cap and drank it down in one go.

After finishing the drink and slightly recovering, Nelson scanned everyone present, then walked up to Lu Yu, and in a humble tone said, ”Mr. Lu, I’m sorry for being late; there was traffic on the way and I had to run. I hope I didn’t delay anything!”

Buzz!

Upon hearing this, everyone present was instantly shocked.

The CEO of the Newman Group, Europe’s top supplier of advanced tech products, Nelson, first appeared as a complete mess and then sincerely apologized directly to Lu Yu, disregarding everyone else present!

This outcome was truly beyond everyone’s expectations!

”No worries, you arrived just in time.”

Upon hearing Nelson’s words, Lu Yu smiled gently. Then he smiled at Nelson and pointed to Leng Qingqiu and Xia Bing, saying, ”This is President Leng Qingqiu of Victory Group and Vice President Xia Bing.”

”Hello, President Leng, Vice President Xia!”

Now, Nelson seemed like a newcomer just entering the workplace, greeting Leng Qingqiu and Xia Bing respectfully.

At this point, Liu Qiguang, standing to the side, was utterly dumbfounded. He never expected the renowned Nelson to be so deferential to Lu Yu!
