Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

After saying this, Lu Yu furrowed his brows slightly and then said, ”Something’s not right, is Victory Group short on money? Why are they even attending a financial summit?”

Although Lu Yu knew nothing about finance, five years ago he was a prominent young master in LA City. His parents often attended such meetings back then, and in his view, these meetings were just for financing and loans, not fundamentally different from banquets hosted by large groups.

”Victory Group has been preparing a new project, which is already in the implementation stage. Although the company’s funds are very ample, financing and loans are essential,”

Leng Qingqiu said, a trace of calmness in her eyes, clearly taking this financial summit very seriously.

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu couldn’t help but nod. Since returning, he’d gained quite a deep understanding of Victory Group. After the catastrophe his Lu Family faced five years ago, Victory Group became the largest group in LA City, practically a pillar enterprise locally, so advancing further was an inevitable result.

”Alright, what you say makes a lot of sense.”

With this thought, Lu Yu smiled and then said, ”But there’s one thing I don’t get. Victory Group has countless financial experts, each likely stronger than me. Why not let them handle it?”

As the largest group in an international metropolis, Victory Group has innumerable graduate students in finance. Sending Xia Bing and Zhou Yun is understandable, but sending me, what’s the purpose here?

Moreover, while Lu Yu had an interest in beautiful women, he didn’t have much enthusiasm for this financial summit.

”This time, Xia Bing and Zhou Yun have heavy responsibilities,”

Leng Qingqiu said in response to Lu Yu, ”Moreover, in LA City, being an international metropolis, the dominance of Victory Group draws many enemies. Many large enterprises harbor hostility towards us. That’s why, when your Lu Family was at its peak, our two families became friends!”

Once she said this, Lu Yu couldn’t help but nod. He deeply understood Leng Qingqiu’s words now.

There’s hardly any difference between cities and deserted islands. Lu Yu always believed so, as cities may appear more civilized, but the brutal law of survival of the fittest doesn’t change!

Whether on a deserted island or in a city, once an extraordinarily powerful presence emerges in a particular area, the remaining groups will unite to attack that presence until it’s eliminated. This doesn’t change, whether on deserted islands or in cities!

And currently, Victory Group is clearly in such a situation!

When the Lu Family was at its height, the Leng Family and the Lu Family could cooperate, preventing malicious companies from ganging up against them. But after the Lu Family’s disaster five years ago, Victory Group was instantly left isolated. In the past five years, Victory Group thrived, but how many potential enemies there are, perhaps only Leng Qingqiu and Leng Huai Xin know.

”So,

speaking of this, Leng Qingqiu’s tone suddenly changed, ”At this financial summit, there will be no shortage of companies attacking Xia Bing and Zhou Yun and those trying to block Victory Group’s financing. That’s why I’m asking you to accompany them, hoping you can hold them off.”

Leng Qingqiu has constantly doubted Lu Yu’s experiences over the past five years and his current identity, but these are just speculations, without convincing evidence.

Even so, Leng Qingqiu can confirm one point: after being missing for five years, Lu Yu’s whole approach to doing things has radically transformed.

Lu Yu’s actions now are straightforward and decisive, with no unnecessary entanglements. Additionally, as he efficiently reclaimed goods seized by the Azure Dragon Association in Beigang City, Leng Qingqiu chose to have Lu Yu accompany Zhou Yun and Xia Bing to the financial summit.

”Oh, so you wanted someone to stand strong,”

Lu Yu chuckled, ”Don’t worry, this is simple, just leave it to me!”

With these words, Lu Yu readily agreed to take on the task, feeling quite at ease about it.

”By the way,

hearing Lu Yu’s promise, Leng Qingqiu nodded and then added, ”This time, I hope you can be a bit more forceful!”

Her words tinged with hesitance, but she still voiced them out.

”Huh?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu was a bit surprised. He looked at Leng Qingqiu and then asked, ”Be more forceful? Didn’t you say this financial summit is very important?”

Lu Yu was getting increasingly confused by Leng Qingqiu’s intentions. Recently, didn’t she lecture him on how it’s a civilized society now and one shouldn’t resort to violence? So why is it that at such an important financial summit, she wants him to be forceful?

”Hmph, financial summit,”

Leng Qingqiu, with a rare smile, replied, ”Frankly, it’s just a meeting where LA City’s major corporations are trying to stop Victory Group’s financing. Many targets us at this meeting, so with civilized people, we must be civilized, but with these folks, we have to be more forceful.”

Finally, Leng Qingqiu understood the meaning behind Lu Yu’s previous statement: violence may not be the best solution, but it certainly is the most effective one!

In those words, Leng Qingqiu exuded a bit of a domineering aura, typical of a female CEO. Even though Lu Yu hadn’t seen Leng Qingqiu negotiating much, he was sure that in business, she was undoubtedly a very assertive person.

”I see.”

Hearing that, Lu Yu smiled slightly and then said, ”Understood, I’ll strive to complete the task, but I need to ask, when you say forceful, does that include getting physical?”

Hearing Lu Yu’s question, Leng Qingqiu paused slightly, then shook her head and said, ”If it’s effective, I don’t oppose it!”

”No problem!”

After hearing this, Lu Yu smiled slightly and then said, ”Then wait for my good news.”

With that, Lu Yu smiled slightly and then walked out of Leng Qingqiu’s office.

Watching Lu Yu leave, Leng Qingqiu’s gaze then fell on her computer screen, where a news report from five years ago displayed: ’Shocking, Lu Family’s Young Master Faces Shipwreck, Life or Death Unknown!’

Besides this report, a 3D satellite map of the sea near LA City was also displayed on the computer.

”Lu Yu,”

Gazing at the news report on the screen, Leng Qingqiu murmured, ”What have you experienced in these five years?”
